I can't help you with the Hotmail thing, as I don't have an account; but from what I have read, Glimmermail seems to be your best bet. Head over to TreoCentral and search their discussion boards for "Hotmail". You'll probably get better information there.

Here is a keygen for v1.02 of Glimmermail. I have not tried it so I don't know if the serial with work with 1.05, but it's worth a try. If it doesn't work try a Google search for a copy of v1.02.

Install patched file, reg with any digits, write down your code, install original prc, register with code.

I found that glimmermail 1.02 patch all over the internet. The 1.02 version of glimmermail is buggy and cycles my palm after about 24 hours every time i install it. I've tried that patch with the 1.05 which seems to have all of the bugs worked out and it didnt work. I have been tring for a month to find 1.05 patched. I have read every where that this is the only prog that works with hotmail.

If anyone wants to take a crack at Glimmermail 1.05 for me I would be very greatful.

how do i get the game gear rom converter (for gizmo) to work? i downloaded the Gizmo_cracked file that was posted but i tried extracting and it said the file was corrupt. i see the GizmoUltra.patched.prc file and the roms and the rom converter but i dont know if it fully extracted since WinRar gave me an error. when i try opening the converter it just blinks once and closes.

EDIT: Gizmo Ultra resets my phone whenever I try using the app. Not sure if this is compatible with the 700p. Just letting everyone know my experience.

I found the cause..
For some reason, Agendus is saving AGPVoice.wav files on my card. About 200 of them. Most with the same name with a _2 at the end.. Everytime it saved the same name file it would add an additional _2 at the end of the files..
I dont use the voice record part of agendus, but I do use the drawing part and in preferences I have "save voice rec. and drawings to card if present" checked.
I deleted the .wav files and Agendues starts FAST again. Prolly just a bug.

Things like this can sneak up on a person and they dont even know it.

For instance, when you use WorldMate 2005 and you look at the radar and all that crap,etc, it will leave WM......, WM......

So you have about 7 or 8 Worldmate files that get LEFT ON THE PALM when you dont need them. You can see your device go down a 1mb or so and not know why.

Luckily I know it does that, so I check. Same with setting your cache, cookies, and even Opera J9 stuff. You delete these and you'll have more space.

It sucks that programs like Worldmate leave those files on the device and you don't even know it.

Sounds like you had the same type of thing with Agendus.

Glad you found it though. I was going to respond, but Agendus kept crashing my device, and all I had to do was re-install it. Somehow it got toasted, so I had to do that :)

But yeah, there are lots of things we really DONT need in memory that end up being there.

For instance when you load Agendus it loads the help manual on there, and the IAMBIC store. You can delete these as they take up precious space.

I dont know if its a prc or pdb or what.. All I know is I deleted it a while back and after reading Iambic FAQ's, it so happens I need it..

You can just re-load Agendus and when you do that it will ask what you want to replace. Obviously if you dont have Tinychart it will load it, but you can just ignore everything else.

Not sure what version you are using, but 11.06 is the newest. I posted that a few pages back too. Not cracked cause you just need to install over the older one.

That should fix your problem as Tinychart is in the installer.

No one has any sugestions for my post on page 191 about hotmail email programs or a little help on the glimmermail demo I up loaded? I was hoping that someone out there uses hotmail on there palm other than web based. Glimmermail seems to be the only program that allows hotmail on a palm. If anyone has a way around it I would love to hear. It sounds like the brain power in this thread could power a large city for a few days. I could use a little help.

i use zlauncher and have zoom icon selected and even when i do not select zoom icon, the icon for this is so big... i tried to change in zlauncher to another icon but it is not taking affect over program...i even refreshed applications

I installed KB Lights Off and i was amazed at the amount of battery life it saved. its amazing how just a little thing like turning the keyboard lights off impacts the battery like that. i posted it several pages back. i have a treo 700p though. not sure if it works with your phone.

thanks for the heads but up i already use kblights off and phone technician to shut off screen to try and make battery last as long as possible and also bright tools to monitor the screen brightness and adjust during different time intervals....

That's why I purchased the 2400mAh battery cause of batter drainage.

Some things can drain the batter like...

PTunes running for a long time.
Watching a movie.
(obvious ones)

Same with an IM program.

Also any program that is set to test for an update can do this. For instance say you have Agendus to refresh every hour, and then you have your screen set to turn off after 1min.

24hrs a day x 1min = 24min the screen in on.

Take 4cast for instance. I have it to refresh every hour I think, so if you had more than one program doing that, you could have lots of battery drainage.

One thing that drains my battery, and i know this is that when I have Xiino running and the NFL scores set to refresh every 30 sec, thats LOTS of refreshes and one hot treo for a football game.

I do this at work if im working and I cant get to it all the time, I just let it refresh and take it out, turn it on, then scroll to the team, then off.

Another thing to do if you can is this little tip to save some juice..

1. Turn off the Beam function for the IR device
2. Disable Bluetooth until you need it.

These two functions always on can drain battery too.

Contacts 5 - Good looking easy to use contact manager. I love that you set it for graffiti search and start spelling it narrows all of the names down as you type.
Palm Commander - Free ware prog that lets you use the four buttons for 9 separate apps each
KB Lights - turn off keyboard lights
Ringo - MP3 ringers
Palm Revolt - change the colors and on screen buttons for palm
VolKeys - I hate butler and this is all I liked about it. Makes your volume keys scroll web pages, books, up/down stuff...
CallRec - great one touch recorder phone and in person recordings.

I recomend all.

im wondering why my call log isnt logging anymore :( this happen to anyone before? i have a strange feeling that CallShield is to blame but before i get rid of it i wanna know if anyone knows what could be the problem?

i turned off the Logging option in CallShield thinking that was interfering with the treo Call Log. but of course that didnt work.

ohh i figured out why my calls werent being logged anymore!

me and this patchin stuff gone crazy. see, when i patch things, i test on my own Treo (which is not advised!!). so when i try to purposely expire apps by moving the date forward, it actually changed the dates in my Call Log!

so the most recent calls were logged with the date 12/30/06. that was the date i set the phone to when i was patching something. well we all know today is the 13th! well i guess the call log was gonna wait until the 30th to start logging calls again since the last call said the 30th. it knew today was only the 13th but the date on the loggs were for the 30th...i guess it was confused

anyway, moral of the story:
Dont go messin with the date on your phone! leave it alone! i ended up purging all my calls which i didnt want to do, but my log is back in full effect :) oh yea and the purge seems like it gave the phone a little more speed too. just a little but i see a difference

I have gotten into the practice of hard reseting and checking for new versions of my programs every two months or so. when you take a close look at your palm the remnants of all the programs you installed and trashed clog up your palms memory.

also this update helps your IR port its from palm.

It's a shot in the dark because i'm not rynning that app but from my experience sometimes you have to enter the correct number of letters and numbers in the serial usualy around 6 or 7;)

Have any of you ever tried putting linux on your palm? I have a 650 that I haven't touched since I got my 700p, so I'm going to try it out. The treolinux project seems to be moving pretty slowly, but most of the hardware is supposed to work. Pretty much everything except the actual phone part.

Wasnt doing anything special,, browsing my zlauncher menus... and boom SD card wiped. The boot log got erased or corrupt because the files would still work if you clicked a shortcut made for them that was somewhere other than the sd card...

if your phone is in a Reset loop, do a warm reset and it should fix the problem. i think you warm reset by holding the up button while you manually reset. hold the up button until you see the palm powered or access powered screen.

IMHO u could very well go for the card reader rather than card export, coz it gives a lot f problems connecting, sometimes says usb device not recognized.

If you dont know what ringo and phone techician do How do you know to search.

I could search this thread a thousand times and not know that Ringo will handle Txt Msgs too. But i have them so i know.

But on the other hand a little research will not kill some of us out there. Google what you are looking for until you find specific apps or games. Then use the search this thread function at the top of the page. Then Ask.:)

Mine did that too but I got it to work somehoe try a reset and see if that works mines working when it works youll hear the computer say "anounce caller" after you select the option if the reset doesnt work try reinstalling the patch let me know good or bad if this doesnt work I'll see about getting a keygen for the app;)

Actualy there is a pdb file I forgot to add that was the problem sorry download the pspeak patched prc and the pdb in the ilnk download
and it works so right now delete whatever and redownload the patch and the pdb to use unlimited:D :o

So pages back we all tried to get VoiceCall to work on our devices, and after talking to the developer, those of us with the 700p are out of luck.

Now I was told it was cause VoiceIt wont let them use the voice library anymore.

This is the same app that Initiate uses too to launch voice commands. Initiate though only allows 15 commands. That's cause VOICE IT wants a chunk of the money.

So here is what we should do, and i'm looking for some help.

VoiceIt has their OWN programs that do the same thing.

VoiceNavIt 2.0 navigates the palm devices. Launch MP3 you got it, etc.

VoiceDialIt 2.0 is the PHONE dialing part of the deal.

Now, i've attached the 2 programs for someone to PATCH as these are the trial ones. Both are in the VoiceIt download.

These should work with all of our devices. I'm hoping this is less trouble than trying to work on VoiceCall and all the headaches we had.

You need to search for the patched version of an older one, and then just install 5.57 over the other one.

Just do a quick search for volumecare and see what you get.

you can create another hotsync profile... depends on the copy protection but most non patched apps will have to be reregisted... then do a hotsync with ur new id... although i personally dont use hotsync but rather copy everything over wifi... and occasionally use card backup to create a backup (i use a 2gb sd card) settle on a hsid of at least 5 characters no spaces.


yay, cheers for the answer. so if i do rename my hotsync then i will have to go and pay for warpspeed again? hmm, i think i might just stick to MUH for playing Virtual Pool, if that's the case.
why can't palm make it impossible to create a hotsync id that is crap (as mine obviously is)? though, i guess that would require GOOD customer service skills as opposed to the CRAP skills they currently have. still, love my TX.

Are there any apps/utilities for the Palm that can perform disc maintenance (error-checking, reapair tools, defrag, bad sector recovery, etc) on the SD card FROM the palm/phone itself?

I'm curious, because I'm very hesitant to perform any maintenance like this from the pc with any of my standard pc apps.

That's exactly what I do -- I tried the "look-at-each-page" method when I first signed on, but that's when the thread was only 40 pages long. Now, at 200+ pages, there's no way I could look at each page and have a life at the same time.:cool:

I learned alot by putting "palm name of software" and checking the developers page before installing on my treo. Saved me a lot of time.

Have you checked your sound settings in pref's because volumecare should do the trick unless your stock sound is not turned up all the way

I figured out why this was crashing so much it's because I loaded it into the card everytime I would use it in blazer it would crash I loaded it into memory and it works excelent Thanx for this app it totaly rock when I use blazer now it realy like surfing the net:p I'm gonna add this one to the list of must have apps:D

I use Ringo pro but make my own ringtones with Nero wav editor, so I dont have a problem with them being too quiet. Is your system volume all the way up?
Anyway, you should find a good audio editor, nero deluxe comes with the wav editor, If you have a creative sound card, there is creative wav editor.
Prolly free program out there everywhere..

I use nero because I can import just about every file type and output to mp3, its not just .wav's it edits... lol

That sucks. Hard to believe since he was the first post on here, but that doesn't mean he checked anything. Not sure where that guy went, but we don't see anything from him on here.

My suggestion too is that anything the first few pages, IGNORE. By this I mean the first post on this place was over 1.5yrs ago, and LOTS has been updated since then.

Best thing is to do a search for what your looking for, and see if you can find the NEWEST version of something. Some things don't ever get updated like Xiino for instance, and who knows if it ever will.

Not that this will solve your problems, and is in no way saying you can prevent it again, but there are a few reputable people on here who you can trust.

Stick around long enough and you'll be able to figure that out. Not that a newbie cant post a file, cause they have to start somewhere, but you'll know who to trust.

So far I can say that the attitudes and people on here have been great so far, as is the help and the programs.

WE ALL WANT SOMETHING AND HAVE SOMETHING TO GIVE. And why people can't be like that is beyond me.

You'll get a few bad apples on here, but they wont stay around long.

You truly will find this forum to be of great help. Just hope you don't get any more malware.

What you should do, is if it REALLY IS malware, e-mail the site and tell them where it exactly is, and have them REMOVE THE POST.

This will be better than leaving it for others to find.

For those of you running Virtual Pool Mobile (version 148 full) on your device, What have you done with these "installer" files?

- vpmPalmFull148_Part1.prc
- vpmPalmFull148_Part2.prc
- vpmPalmMusic.prc

I'm assuming that these files are not only needed for the initial installation, but also for gameplay. However, since these support files are .prc files, they automatically get an application tab/shortcut generated for them. The game itself has it's own proper shortcut, and these 3 other shortcuts are useless and get in the way.

What have you guys done with these files or shortcuts? Can they be hidden, or treated differently?

Thank you. Yeah, I went that route. This is one of those peculiar .prc situations where the "hide" box isn't available. Instead it's a box called "Bundled". Checking it doesn't seem to do anything noticeable.

there's a keygen for all Motion software. i only got it to work 1 time and i still didnt work right, but i've read more then one success story here about the Motion keygen. search the thread for something like mOcean and you should find the keygen.

This game installs it self to the card....You should get them one by one to the palm and run each, it will install to card and this icons should be removed. If they're not, then something's wrong....

PRCedit is without a doubt the most useful program available. The others pretty much just help me find things or tag the final product. I really like BIRD for a lot of other reasons: easily change an apps launcher name (edit tAIN), default category (taic), or icon (tAIB). It also comes in handy to hex edit stuff... for example a game's preference file so that you have a bazillion coins or something.

clean up IE or netscape cookie( In this case the one that belong to rapidshare website)
On Command prompt
type -----> ipconfig /flushdns <---Enter

Or save these commands in a bat file and run it everytime you need to fool Rapidshare server.Remember to clean up rapidshare cookie in your temp Internet files folder.

As my post said,, 19K,, that is SLOW.. the modem in the palm treo+mountainous area I live in= even slower.

I guess I was wrong about the few minutes,, it only take about 30 seconds tops, sometimes chanels start in about 3 seconds.. Sweet.

Ok, WMP 11 and WINAMP both work on 4.0

Make sure you have the latest skin installed.

I went to the developers website (the link is on ptunes website) and downloaded from there.

Winamp 5.2 works, and says that is what is on Ptunes website but mine always showed 5.1.

Anyway, just install from the developers website and you should be fine. So far no crahses on either.

So pages back we all tried to get VoiceCall to work on our devices, and after talking to the developer, those of us with the 700p are out of luck.

Now I was told it was cause VoiceIt wont let them use the voice library anymore.

This is the same app that Initiate uses too to launch voice commands. Initiate though only allows 15 commands. That's cause VOICE IT wants a chunk of the money.

So here is what we should do, and i'm looking for some help.

VoiceIt has their OWN programs that do the same thing.

VoiceNavIt 2.0 navigates the palm devices. Launch MP3 you got it, etc.

VoiceDialIt 2.0 is the PHONE dialing part of the deal.

Now, i've attached the 2 programs for someone to PATCH as these are the trial ones. Both are in the VoiceIt download.

These should work with all of our devices. I'm hoping this is less trouble than trying to work on VoiceCall and all the headaches we had.

i finally got desperate bought GBULATOR. its a GB/GBC emulator. i bought it to play pokemon crystal but that basterd doesnt work with gbulator. something to do with the clock or timer in the actual gameboy color device and so it work for like 1 minute into gameplay then it screws up and starts over. so i have to stick to pokemon blue yellow or red... boring...

if anyone is interested i can upload them here along with whatever is needed to try to see if wheelie or any other cracking/patching/keygenerating beast can hook it up for yall.

VoiceDialIt 2.0 is the PHONE dialing part of the deal.

Now, i've attached the 2 programs for someone to PATCH as these are the trial ones. Both are in the VoiceIt download.

These should work with all of our devices. I'm hoping this is less trouble than trying to work on VoiceCall and all the headaches we had.

I am by no means the person to hear to about this app, but it seems to me that this apps are almost like Dmitry's...no one has patched them to my knowledge.....But only time will tell ;)

adambomb whats the word on that GIZMO emulator?

i finally got desperate bought GBULATOR. its a GB/GBC emulator. i bought it to play pokemon crystal but that basterd doesnt work with gbulator. something to do with the clock or timer in the actual gameboy color device and so it work for like 1 minute into gameplay then it screws up and starts over. so i have to stick to pokemon blue yellow or red... boring...

if anyone is interested i can upload them here along with whatever is needed to try to see if wheelie or any other cracking/patching/keygenerating beast can hook it up for yall.

Have you tryed LJP?...On a second thought...Does LJP runs GameBoy Color?....I guess, I just have never payed attention but it's worth the try :D
