Here is Fontsmoother 2.0 and the registration file.

This file will eliminate the need for YAHM that is on there now from the older version, which was stupid anyway. So now after this install you can delete YAHM on your device.

If you already installed the older version that was posted on here you can just install 2.0 over and no need to register.

But from what i've experienced from these two developers is that things just get better, and there aren't too many bugs anyway. I've personally never had any beta from Hobbyist or ShSh crash my palm.

I saw this requested much earlier in the thread, but couldn't tell from searching if it had ever been posted.

This is a PC app that is great for easily converting and resizing any movie to the proper format and size for your specific Palm device. Once you pass a movie through this program, its sure to work with Kinoma, Core Player, TPCMP, etc. I've had great success with it.

Well, the first time I ran it, it was 4 seconds,, about an hour later I ran it again and got 39 seconds, then again right after that and scored 75 seconds.
Running one right now.....taking a long time.............jeez.........................scre en went off..lol...ahh 74 seconds..

Wonder why my first run was so good? I have not added any software, just messed around with uncache..

I have searched everywhere for a way to get the Chatter EX plugin to not be a time limited 30 day demo version.

I have Chatter 3.0.1 fully registered, but evidently the EX plugin (needed if you want to use get mail from OWA - Outlook Web Access) requires some other type of serial or crack.

Anyone have any suggestions (or an alternative mail program that lets you access Outlook Web Access mail?)

Quite distinctly, I was politely requesting the actual keygen for Pocket Mini Golf from anyone who may have it, since there is obviously one out there. I'd rather do this sort of thing myself when possible, since I am capable of doing so and so that I'll still be able to have it further in the future if I go to another phone.

I got a 100M range usb bluetooth dongle and have found on the net that you can take them apart and make your own antanna with amazing results. Some have gotten over a mile(line of sight) distance with these homemade things.
Anyway... anything on this?

For sms scheduler you have to use multi user hack and change you name to Kracked dude and register with serial# 143422 use this callshield to patch your 2.7

There are almost 220 PAGES on here, and it has skyrocketed in no time. This many pages should tell you... Maybe you should search first before you post.

It does get old, and I mean old, as in telling people over and over, but it saves TIME.

I can see if this was page number 2, but its not, and if someone had quite a few posts, it might be different, but when you have people pop up, and their first post is asking for 3 or 4 items that are already on here, it can get frustrating.

And this applies to ALL NEW PEOPLE. I mean I would assume most people have used some type of board, and know what a search function is, and know that at the top of EVERY message board is a sticky that says.... PLEASE SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST.

Unfortunately our board here is not laid out in that way like other ones. Where you may see many, many TOPICS. All of ours are combined in this thread.

I've suggested to whomever runs this thing to switch it over to a more functional board for instance like all the other ones out there. I just dont know why it is so hard for them to do that :rolleyes:

It should be Palm Appz/Games as the main deal, then we should be able to post a NEW TOPIC under that, and have stickies, etc.

Instead we have to post 100s of replys. Gets old really. And its too bad we cant get them to make this better for us.

Anyway.... Guess we do what we can. Unless anyone wants to start their own board. :)

We need that sticky,how hard would that be.But ive come to the conclusion that whomever runs this board probably owns a ppc and doesnt ever visit this side of the tracks:D I think if we were to mosey on about this board we could pm somebody to at the very least add that sticky or maybe even put a sticky at the top of the thread FOR FILES ONLY to download into then all the bums could go there and all the thank you people could come here or visea versa:p anyway just my thought on the matter

Oh yes, I certainly agree that there are a lot of requests made here without people doing their homework. But there's also nothing more infuriating than getting the Search N@zi responses when you have done the due diligence search efforts, and still need legitimate help.

This is a very relevant question! I have the 700p, but the same 100M USB bluetooth dongle. Since WiFi cards aren't possible yet with the 700p, I have been looking into this same possibility for myself...so I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Another thing that would help out immensely would be to have the "Attachments" included in the search results.

A whole lot of relevant posts on this thread contain the keywords only in the attachment, and therefore do not show up in any search results.

Bingo, I feel the exact same way.

On one hand, we have a very good thing going here, and I wouldn't want anything to mess that up. On the other hand, a typical message board would have a subforum for Palm Appz and one for Palm Gamez, and an individual thread for each application and game.

I know of a particular board already setup, and laid out exactly how you are talking about. It even has the Palm Appz, and Palm Gamez subforums. However, not many people know about it and it isn't highly travelled yet. But rather than setting a board up from scratch, this one would be prime for us to collectively experiment with or migrate over to ;) :cool::D

Sure, you could cut and paste the URL, and then open Kinoma... But that's way too much work.

Here's an easier way:

Step 1: Make sure the ASX file extension is associated with Kinoma 4EX or whatever media player you want to use for embeded media. You can use Resco Explorer for this or Zlauncher. If you don't have either and need a freeware program, try this:

Step 2: In blazer (or another javascript compatable browser), create a new bookmark. Call the bookmark something like "Embeded Media Getter" or "ASX maker" or something you'll remember.

**make sure it is exact, so use cut and paste or save this to a text file and send it to your device**


Now...if you go to a website that has an embeded flv, wmv or other compatable file, just hit that bookmark (while on that page).

Once kinoma loads, you can always hit the backspace (<-) to go back to blazer, without having to do the whole home->web->url thing

Thanks!I dont know I'm yet to get that to work actualy I dont think it does work as far as an .asx file in zlauncher you could try going to your card through zlauncher and move that file inyo the kinoma folder that was created on the card then go into kinoma and run the .asx but my experience with kinoma and .asx is that 75% of them dont work anyway good luck with that

The code you are refering to requires you to use Multi User Hack along with the user name that was provided in that post. MUH is also posted in this thread.

There is also a cracked pac-man app in an earlier post in this thread that doesn't require registering.

Installed patched version and can't create more then 2 accounts (not 3 msn but msn/yim,aim,icq), can't enter registration code either.
The patched version is still trial, maybe only the expiration date is patched.

no probs mr bomb, can't say i'm a huge MSN user anyway, and i don't think it's the patching that's the problem, i think it's just that every MSN client for Palm seems to suck balls. why is it so hard for at least one company to get it spot on? then there's the fact that microsoft love to make changes to the MSN service that prevent anything other than the official MSN client from connecting. you'd think that would be against anti-monopoly legislation.

here ya go, try this. it may not be perfect, so PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS so i can work on it more. while snooping around in the file, i found two extra modes "pyramid" and "pyramania" so they are enabled. however, it doesn't actually display statistics or the online code for either of them. i can't actually tell what the difference in the two modes might be.

I got a 100M range usb bluetooth dongle and have found on the net that you can take them apart and make your own antanna with amazing results. Some have gotten over a mile(line of sight) distance with these homemade things.
Anyway... anything on this?

This is a very relevant question! I have the 700p, but the same 100M USB bluetooth dongle. Since WiFi cards aren't possible yet with the 700p, I have been looking into this same possibility for myself...so I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Again the problem is that, or any other deal we post cant be a sticky cause for one, we can't sticky, and two, unlike other boards, we don't have a few moderators on here, which would be nice just for this forum.

Like I said before... This whole board how they have it is bass akwards. Not much we can do for the time being unless we keep bugging them.

It must be a higher % than that ,I havent had any complaints as far as registering the app(though I havent used it) any feedback on wether the patch worked or not would be appriciated

And as far as the time limit I've been told that there is a file for that ,that can be erased when the period is up to start the trial over but you will have to redo all the personal settings,

Yeah, it sure would be nice to have this option. However, WiFi is not possible on the Treo 700p. And from what I can tell, it has to be tweaked into working on the 650.

For people like me, the BT connection is one of the only ways to accomplish this.

I've only used Fast Hide. They look very similar, but I'll use Invisible tonight and let you know.

Here's that too, for the sake of reference:

i tried fast hide, i like the setup way better, looks nicer, i like how you canhide the actual fasthide program in the preferences list BUT when you try to run a program that is hidden for example: i hid tasks, calendar, messanger. when i go to calendar and tap on my tasks it resets everytime... i think i will use a combination of both invisible and fasthide... invisible for apps that i have buttons for (calendar, messanger, tasks, memo... etc) and fasthide for more secretive things like kinoma player (to view hidden picture/video of my girlfriend... of the not so family friendly type :cool: .) ,and rescoexplorer which can be used to find these pics/vids... over all i like it...

this is sort of a crazy, round-about way to do it... but it might be better than nothing. if you use a program like RescoExplorer or FileZ to make a copy of the program (since its a ROM app, right? if not, skip that part) you can use Bird to edit the form that displays the incoming text and alter the color... MAYBE. if there are duplicate programs in the ROM and RAM, the RAM one is used, so the altered-color one would be used... of course, thats at the expense of a little RAM. if not a word of this makes any sense to you, then just post a copy of the program and i'll try it.

Well... either this only works 1/3 of the time or maybe it only works with all ones? elcabezon and rflores, try filling the registration with all ones... I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, but without a Treo to test it on, there really isn't much I can do. I haven't even seen the program run before. I did the patching all 'by feel.' anythingbutmine, how many ones did it take? was that the first thing you tried? give us more clues as to what you may have done to get it to work that the others didnt.

I got it kinda started... but it is going to take a lot of work. By that, I mean probably a couple of days for me. Perhaps (hopefully!) someone can get it patched before I can. I also like to rearrange things to my liking in apps... like the original powerrun had really big, bold print that looked gross to me. gone. or if i think a button is in an inoptimal place... or a word is misspelled. and i remake the icons sometimes. i have the office 2003 icon for doc2go... or there is the slighty more involved transition i did to make NetFront more Firefoxy... resulting in my goofy, just-for-fun release of 'FireFront'

I heard this was hogging up some peoples Treos and some other stuff and a newer beta is in the works. It had seem to slow things down a bunch. Seem to be a 9 beta 4 out today instead of the 3, but not sure yet what it fixed.

I use to have that page (I think) bookmarked for my Zlauncher beta page, then one day it resorted to Launch Anywhere.

Haven't tried it or seen any screen shots cause I like what I have, but if there is GOOD feedback later I may try it.

it is still in beta version so yes, prob still buggy...people mentioned that it does pop up under hede in palminternals meaning that is slows down the device....

Also the clock and date are wayy to small imo.. I check the date and time frequently on my treo for sales calls etc and this would by annoying since it so small.

Actually no, I don't use that function. I see how it may come in handy, but I seem to have mine customized how I like it. May try it out once things get fixed more.

Ok I figured out how to use the keygen. Figured i'd go ahead and share with you all if anyone is having the same problem i did.

Ok I figured out how to use the keygen. Figured i'd go ahead and share with you all if anyone is having the same problem i did.

- I installed all 3 files.
- I then opened up buzz and wrote down the Serial #
- Then I installed the keygen

Haha, I just found the special instructions for this keygen and was coming to post them. Looks like you figured them out already :) Good job, glad you were successful, I was getting ready to test it on the Simulator.

Here are the formal instructions...the only thing I see in addition is the recommendation to add a zero to the number it gives you if necessary:
Install Buzz on your device, and go to reg screen to get the hardware serial.
Install keygen on device or simulator. Use MultiUserHack or other means to set username for Buzz keygen to be the hardware serial obtained previously.
Enter any serial in the keygen, to get your real Buzz serial.
As usual with ToySoft apps, serial should be 5 digits, so add zero to the front if you only get 4.

Use a card reader or card read program to put the roms directly into the firestorm file that is now on the card ,also I believe you can trick your hotsync into believeing that roms are .prc if you change the .rom or whatever to .prc then you can hotsync them and if they dont go into the proper file you could use zlauncher or something else to move them into the firestorm folder hope this makes sense anyway good luck it's alot easier than it sounds:p

Thank you so, so much for the feedback!! Have you figured out what the differences between pyramid and pyramania are? I thought it was weird that they were included in the code as options... but were hidden. They may not be finished or may be buggy or something, but I figured a new buggy option is better than a hidden buggy one.

I would personaly suggest ljp nothing can beat it nes,gb,gbc,sms,genesis,atari,neogeo,gamegear need I say more and as far as the 5 way keypad i'm pretty sure you need to set up the controls and if you cant then again i suggest ljp I mean you just cant beat genesis in the palm of your hand and gbc as well as nes rock the house

After it gives you a key, write it down, uninstall the keygen, install the original version, and register with the key you wrote down. Thats how they typically work...

Self-keygen = most (not all) applications will ask for your reg code. Then, they will calculate your correct code and compare both. If equal they will mark it registered and go on. A self-keygen is an application that has been patched so, just after it finishes calculating your real code, it pops a message box with it for you.

Can you see the difference? On the first case, the patcher has to fully understand how the application calculates the correct reg code and duplicate it's code on a new appication. On the second case all we need is to find where the comparition between real <-> informed code is beeing done and replace it with a popup message showing the real one.

Why the later is not the choosen method always? Because several developers try to make this very difficult if not impossible. How? Instead of comparing the codez, they follow a diffrent approach. They normally calculate an encripted version of the code and, when you are asked for the reg code, what you entered is also encripted and then, both encripted (real & informed) are compared. If they match it means that the unencripted version are also the same so you are validated.:D

All I can say is to not give up, try to find updates to any software you have, try to figure out what is causing the problems... it sucks that Palm is releasing such bug-prone, over-sensitive hardware lately, but its better than the alternative. Someday they'll regain control of PalmOS or maybe ALP will really be awesome and things will just work... someday...

The lag is going to happen on most of our devices. Palm addressed this issue, but they say not EVERYONE is experiencing it, so who knows if they will make a fix or not. I think its a bunch of crap if you ask me. They sent a reply to a post that was made from MANY people addressing issues like that.

Some think its versamail, some think its palms deal, etc. Alll I can say is for now there is no REAL fix.

Crashing can happen, and the more patched apps and more apps you have in general, then your chances are higher.

I still have about 7mb left on my 700 and my crashes are minimal. Every once in a blue moon I have one, and then if I can't fix it, I delete the program(s)

Haha, I just found the special instructions for this keygen and was coming to post them. Looks like you figured them out already :) Good job, glad you were successful, I was getting ready to test it on the Simulator.

OK! props to subvert for this lesson:

A quick lesson in self-keygens.

Firstly, nearly all self-keygens that I write follow the same basic pattern.
Assuming the serial is in register D0 as in this app, we write

2F00 MOVE.L D0,-(A7)
4857 PEA (A7)
4E4FA0C9 SysTrapStrIToA
3F3C0708 MOVEW #1800
4E4FA194 SysTrapFrmAlert

Line by line this does the foollowing.

1. Moves the D0 register to the A7 register, neccessary for further processing. If the serial is already in an A register, leave it there, and change the next instruction.
2. Pushes the A7 register to the stack for processing. For A0, use 4850, for A1, 4851 etc
3. With the serial now on the stack, we can deal with it. If the serial is numeric, as it usually is, we first need to convert it to decimal with this instruction.
4. This now calls up an alert form, in this case the one numbered 1800. This alert could be an existing form, or one you rewrote, but it must contain the string ^1, which tells the app to take the variable sitting on the stack, which is our serial. ^1^2 will take the last two variables sitting on the stack if they exist. If you use a two-variable alert form, you MUST pass a second variable to display else you get an error. the code 4878000 is PEA$0000,W, which basically passes an empty string to the stack, so use this to fill an empty variable, or re-write the alert form.
5. This simply displays the alert form, hopefully displaying our serial.

You can follow this with a 4E4FAo8C instruction, which forces a reset, since many apps will reset anyhow after the alert.

In the case of this app, you have found the code in D0, so we are nearly there. We have the following code :-

We see that the thank you form has 3 variables, ^1^2^3, and they are loaded from the A0 register. The first two are basically blank, then our thank you message is passed. So, rather than re-invent the wheel, let's just re-use the code that is there to display our serial.
I re-wrote it as follows

As you can see, we have simply replaced the first variable instrution with our instructions to present the serial, so now we are passing the alert firstly our serial, then the blank variable, then the thank you message, which is displayed on the alert in reverse order, so it says Thank You, followed by our serial.

Hope that makes it a bit clearer, seeing it in an app that you have patched already yourself. Don't worry though, it took me ages to make my first working keygen.

A couple of words of advice, prcedit is definitely the way to go in my opinion, stick with it, but do get yourself SouthDebugger instead of debuffer, it is far superior, and the version 18alpha available from here works perfectly with the OS5 simulator as well. The best thing about South is, you don't have to manually convert registers from hex to decimal, and once you have broken into it, you can step through the app line by line to follow a key check routine, which can be really useful to see where to place your keygen instructions.

P.P.S just re-read your prereg instructions. Note that all you did was kill the register nag at the end of the level. Other unregistered restrictions may still be active, so it is not strictly a pre-reg patch.
Also, in prcedit, you are searching up or down for the call for the link L76 or whatever. Much better to use the LCR tab to find the call, there may well be more than one call to the link.
Also on prcedit, if you have a call to a link (i.e. BNE Lxx) and want to know what is at the link, highlight the Lxx and press F10, and it will jump to the link code. Have a look, and press F12 to get back to the original call again.
Finally, to edit the code, simply press F9 to jump to the hex editor at the point where you were in the code, and F9 to go back to the code. This is invaluable when you have multiple code tabs.

Now I wanted to know if anyone could make the interface abit more pleasing. I think that the buttons are way to small on the interface. can anyone make them a bit bigger?? Also the clock and date are wayy to small imo.. I check the date and time frequently on my treo for sales calls etc and this would by annoying since it so small.

can this be done??

Sorry my friend, but since I can't run this app myself, its too difficult to figure out where to alter this. Most likely, its not something that could have been changed (with reasonable effort) anyway.

Nothing I do would be possible without PRCedit. To anyone interested in learning, skip all the other tools. I was pretty discouraged until I tried PRCedit.
Where can we get SouthDebugger? Sounds excellent, but I can only seem find older versions... and they're all shareware. Some other guy is looking for it too... in this thread (http://gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=65887&highlight=SouthDebugger) but that's several years old...

I think I have a partial solution for the repeated requests for appz and gamez already posted in the thread. I've noticed that the "search this thread" option is not availible to users that have not signed in. New users are therefore likely not to find what they are looking for, then sign up, and then post prior to even knowing about the "search this thread" option. Why not make it an option availible to all users registered or not?

O.K. let me step by step for you go to card in zlauncher click on palm folder then click on launcher folder at least thats hoe it is on my treo and as far as firestorm and nesem and gizmo and on and on....
I would personaly suggest ljp nothing can beat it nes,gb,gbc,sms,genesis,atari,neogeo,gamegear need I say more and as far as the 5 way keypad i'm pretty sure you need to set up the controls and if you cant then again i suggest ljp I mean you just cant beat genesis in the palm of your hand and gbc as well as nes rock the house

someone posted a link to a rom site a page or two back... another good bet is torrent tracker search... ie isohunt , demonoid (my favorite) or piratebay... also any number of irc channels on different networks (undernet, dalnet, etc)

my only complaint was the last time i tried ljp it wouldnt play atari 2600 bowling (oh well) or atari 2600 superman...

Unfortunately you are under the PALM section, so I don't think many will be able to help you out here. Might want to check the section for Pocket PCs.

I know it may seem like this is where they could be, because of the jacked up way they have the forum laid out, but there is another section on here for what you are looking for.

Who ever set the forum up the way they did didn't do a very good job of layout and organization. :rolleyes:
