OK for the keygen lovers (and for those who think my patch could be a problem), here it is: VoiceDial 2.0.11 Self keygen!!

Again copy it to SD Card and launch it from there or copy from SD Card to RAM using ZLauncher's File Explorer or Resco Explorer.

When you run it you'll see a dialog with your registration code and hopefully your Palm won't crash :)

(I don't think it will but it will mess VoiceDial Main Form a little).

Then upload the original VoiceDial if you backed it up or run the installer again and register with the generated key.

And no, it doesn't seem to check it via Internet (so far).

It should work for any VoiceDial 2.xx I think.

You should NOT have to register. I have tried to get rid of all nag screens so you should be able to play with no problems. If you want to register, you can reg with any serial. It will work only when you're running the program. You will have to register every time you open the game. BUT you DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER to play the full game. That is just for folks who want to register. If you come across any problems down the line please let me know!

Can someone please help me I even updated with sprints 1.13 updater and put the FAT32 in place of the FATFS and still got the loop I'm thinking it may be a bug in the romtool or I am not puting the tool on my computer correctly something tells me that adding any files would be a problem deleting files from ram worked great I even poted my problem at treo central as have others and no reply it's just like everyone else once they have thiers working than they dont even care about the dude having problems!!
It's not that we don't care about someone else having problems as long as we've gotten our own working -- it's that we didn't know what was wrong or how to fix it. Several of us posted suggestions for you on here; none of them worked (until this most recent one) but we did try. fnt's instructions were exactly the same as every other tutorial out there, including my own; so either you didn't follow instructions properly the first time or there was some freak problem that happened (which is quote possible; that happens ALL THE TIME with these kinds of tools and ROM updates :))

As for the quote from treocentral, no, it is not true that you can only remove apps. You can certainly add, remove, and change. As proof, I've got Chatteremail in my ROM, among other things. I believe Shadowmite's original T650 tool may not have allowed you to add data, but you should not be using his tool anyway -- it's very unsafe.
I think it has a lot to do with the fact that your Treo is a Sprint one and not an Unlocked GSM Treo.

You should ask if anybody with a Sprint Treo here has successfully replaced FATFS with FAT32.
No, it has nothing to do with what firmware he's using. They all have been reported to work equally with this hack. I'm using Sprint 1.12a just like he was, and it worked fine for me.
For those of you that dont know how to use the Romtool,

Everyone, do NOT use this method! As I stated earlier, Shadowmite's T650 tool is dangerous! It requires the use of your SD card to perform the ROM update, which makes it extremely easy to brick your phone. In fact, if you do brick your phone using this SD method, the only way to get it back is using grack's ROMtool! Don't mess with Shadowmite's stuff in the first place and you won't have to worry about it.

Don't use the ROM he provided either (sorry, burn a blunt, nothing personal :)). He's using an older version of the SDHC slot driver hack that can sometimes break the Messaging app and require you to place that file into your RAM to get it working again. This is not an acceptable solution. Your Treo needs to be able to function properly upon a hard reset! Having a damaged file in ROM is unacceptable. If you're going to put the SDHC slot drivers in your ROM, please use the file I have attached below. They have been fixed so there is no text messaging bug as there is with the files in burn a blunt's ROM.

By the way, here are the instructions on adding SDHC slot drivers:

1. Use the ROMTool to ensure you have a good back up of your ROM just in case things go sour.
2. Start by removing from ROM "MMCBulverdeIntelDrv_Device.prc" (This is the file that is the driver for the current sd card host controller)
3. Add to ROM(from the previously downloaded zip files): "FAT32.prc", "SlotDriver_SDIO-sdsd.prc" and "SmartTextEngine_Device.prc"
4. Upload ROM with new files installed.
5. Verify SD card works(Legacy cards are still usable on this back compatible file system).

I have about 120 contacts and could never find the time or space(on phone) to program all that crap.. That is just totally unecceptable.
At first I didnt like how voicedial would repeat me and ask for work/mobile/home phone numbers... But you can turn conformation off. I have not had it dial a wrong number yet. I do however have a bit of trouble launching apps, When I try to open PTunes,, I usually end up opening bluetooth.
Having a motorola v710 with voicesignal's software(older software) I learned that I could NEVER call a number like "dial 555-666-1212" it would just NEVER understand digits for me. So I cant comment on the new voicedials digit recognition cuz its habbit for me to not use it.

I have mentioned this before also. It understands english language very well,, lol.
I mean, try to sound like an american CNN news guy. I have tried to alter my voice and pronounce things in a southern accent, canadian type, and mexican,, the thing recognizes most of it..

VoiceSecureIt doesn't use VoiceLib 2.0. It uses a different library called BioVoiceLib.

I just tried to generate serials for VoiceDialIt and VoiceNavIt for the Palm Treo 650 Simulator and it worked as well as they did in my Treo (it generated correct codes for the simulator), so I really don't know why you aren't getting the right codes.

Anyone else with this problem?

Well the Slotdriver file i used cant be to faulty considering the fact that im on the Sprint Treo 650 now with a 4Gb Transcend SDHC card in it. I used the method i posted and had NO problems. So like i said in my post, use at your own risk...

Here is the Rom with the "New" SlotDriver added to it for those of you that aint happy with my original one. I havnt tried this one yet so I cant say that it works. The SlotDriver you provided is also the same size as mine so maybe its just named different? Im not sure but here it is..

If you install v7 with the installer from the developer's website, then install this patched v6 prc over it, it appears to work with the v7 enhancements. I haven't delved too deeply into the program, but all functions in the trial seem to work fine even after installing the v6 patch.

The problem is that I can't figure out how to get the companion food app patched along with the main app. I will try again, but hopefully someone else will get it worked out.

The KG insists that the files exist, and they aren't in the program directory. It also prompts for an 8 digit device ID? I have no clue what this is. Help please?

I believe PWCPP has an import and export and i'm pretty sure that you can create xml's of your patches
PWCPP's import/export feature only imports and exports individual XMLs from your main XML database. It will not compare two PRCs and generate an XML.

Thank you for redoing your ROM file to share with us.

You're right, the slot driver isn't faulty -- but the SmartTextEngine_Device.prc is. It's quite evident it's faulty considering it has to be put in RAM on some Treos after a hard reset.

As I said earlier, the Treo should be able to function properly after a hard reset; we shouldn't have to remember to put files back into RAM every time we hard reset to get the thing to work. Things need to be done right the first time :)

As for your SD method of updating the ROM, if that's the method you'd like to use, be my guest. There's nothing inherently "wrong" with that method, because it works just as well when it works. I just felt it was worth noting to everyone on here that grack's ROMtool is a much easier and much SAFER method. :cool:

I don't know of a program that will do that, but I'm not a cracker :) I didn't know you didn't edit it in PRCEdit; I'm guessing IDAPro doesn't have the XML feature. I'm thinking maybe you could probably write your own XML file if you had an example one to look at?

Hello.before I found this post, I'm using takephone 7.002 patched I found few pages ago, but it doesn't registeer. Still have the 30 day trial.


Then I followed your advise.

Installed version 6.50, it says it's registered and there's no entry for the serial #. I guess it's registered.

Then overwrite version 7.008, entered the serial # you posted. I got an error.

Please help.

I told him if all else fails I would just e-mail keyoe and ask what the limited functions are on the demo then go from there.

Hotsync it into your palm, execute it, and write down your key. Please tell me your experiences with this. It should tell you the same code than the SelfKeygen version generates.

Good question. I believe I've explained my solution on here before. I just use MultiUserHack on the simulator. You might be able to use ChangeName or whatever the 3rd party app that is mentioned on Palm's site is called. Sorry, I just realized that I'm too tired to be too explainy... if google and a little time can't reveal a solution to you, then I'll try to be more helpful tomorrow.

I have a rather thorough background in TRS-BASIC and TI-BASIC. I had a decent grasp of TI-Assembly. I got a 100% in C++ a couple of years ago, but never pursued it any further than that. I've maintained a working knowledge of HTML, Javascript, and CSS for... well... as long as I can remember. Now I am getting a pretty good understanding of 68K Assembly.

As you can see, I am no programmer, or only a beginner at that. I tried dabbling with OnBoardC and CodeWarrior... but haven't had the time to get past "Hello World!"

So this answer is more of a guess than anything else, but I'd assume the structure of the language for CodeWarrior is fairly similar between processors/devices... and many of the instructions are probably the same/similar. Of course, the headers and include files and stuff are gonna be different. The actually device-specific assembly is created when it is compiled... and the compiler is just interpreting the programming language into processor-specific code.

I think. Its a good guess either way.

Well if this might be a little help my tools for Palm cracks are:

- PRCEdit (to disassemble 68K PRCs)
- IDAPro (to disassemble ARM PRCs)
- Systraps R9 lookup table.txt (ha! a must! nobody can crack PNOlets without this info)
- Systraps.txt (for 68K, so you can set breakpoints in the debugger)
- Bird for PalmOS (A MUST!!! this should be in every cracker Palm's ROM)
- Palm OS Garnet Simulator
- Palm Treo 650 Simulator (if the Garnet crashes with some PRC, this one is way slower).
- Palm Debugger (Only works with 68K code)
- Any hex editor.

Now for Windows cracks, I don't think SoftIce is used anymore. I use OllyDbg like everybody else, along with W32DASM, and any hex editor. IDAPro also works with x86 files (it's a cross disassembler).

About Code Warrior, no clue. I don't use it. I compile my own Palm programs using GNU PRC-Tools. A Palm program has a different philosophy than a Symbian or Windows program, so it's programmed different. Palm programs are event-driven, so you most of the times wait for an event and then do something when you get one.

If your question is that if you can use Code Warrior for Symbian (ARM) to compile a Palm program, no way. Even though Palms have ARM CPUs now, they emulate a 68000 CPU. So you need a compiler that generates 68K code to make a PRC. Also, PalmOS have a way to go back to ARM so you can run ARM native subroutines in your own program. That's if you want to do something faster (since all 68K code is emulated it's slow).

So if you want to make a complicated program, like let's say TCPMC, you need a compiler that generates 68K and ARM code. Only Code Warrior for Palm does that (as far as I know), no other Code Warrior would work. Of course, GNU PRC-Tools also works to generate both and create a single PRC with 68K code segments and ARM code segments, but every PRC start point must be in 68K code.

Howdy folks... I have a request... A mystery sort of:

I recently decided to change my HotSyncName from my FULL NAME to 'IamAJD.' Of course, I had to reregister bunches of stuff, but I managed (I'm really bad about using keygens, writing down the keys, and then getting rid of them... good thing I refound them all using "SEARCH THIS THREAD").

Oddly enough, I cannot seem to find out how in the world I had the game Edge registered. It was with my old HSN, not using MUH. I've searched for a keygen, but I came up empty handed. I assume that someone provided me with a registration code... I can't imagine I actually *paid* for something.

So, if you have a keygen for Edge, could you please share it? If you won't do that (which I understand) then could you please send me a registration code for IamAJD (Edge ID: 143695640).

Strangely I found that the mmsoftware keygen generates a different key on the simulator with the same hotsync name then it does when installed on the treo650.

The problem here is that apparently the Device ID affects somehow the HotSync ID for this game.

Vivent Jones is what worked for my device, but not for everybody's Vingent Jones ,Vintent,Vincent will work for just a few too.

Apparently the 4th letter of the HSID gets affected by the deviceID.

Some other HotSyncID's known to work are:

Vintent Jones
Vinpent Jones

If you dont get to run the 1.2 mission , you have to mess up a little with the 4th letter of the HSID until you make it run.

When you click on About inside MT you should get this ID in order to it to work properly:

ID:56:69:6E:60:65:6E:65:73:2C

This ID changes depending on your HSID. If you try Vincent Jones and dont get this ID EXACTLY as I wrote it, it wont work. Normally the 4th number (60) and the last one (2C) get different, and the problem gets solved changing the 4th letter of "Vinvent" to some other one, till you get 60 and 2C respectively on the ID string.

I have this little app that will help you discover what is the right HSID you need in order to make it run. Hope you find it useful if you get any problems running it. Use MUH on this app, and run it, if you see that the string didnt match, go back to MUH and change the 4th letter of the HSID and run it again until it matches but just like anyone else i hate using MUH this is now the only app/game i have that i have to use MUH

Some programs go by both the ROM ID and HSN. I believe HSNSwitch will let you simluate a different ROM as well as a different HSN.

EASY!! Run the installer on the Garnet Simulator. After the program is installed, RIGHT-CLICK on the title bar and go to Storage -> Export Database (or something like this... all from memory) and it'll let you save the installed program(s) and database(s)... one at a time.

So, I accomplished a major life goal today everyone. I patched a program completely onboard... all on my palm, no computer. Using (of course) BIRD, the most excellent piece of Palm Freeware there is! It wasnt the most difficult patch to do and its not the coolest program around, but I'm a dork so I like it. It can be nice for the 'wow, your pda can do that?' factor amongst your dorky friends. Enjoy Planetarium 2.4. The databases are optional.

Here's what I do:

1.- Install it on the Palm OS Garnet simulator, it'll create the PRCs and PDBs.
2.- After it extracts, right click on the simulator Storage -> Export Database and save your PRCs in your PC.

If the installer is high-tech and runs in ARM only:

1.- Upload it to your Palm
2.- Run it, of course.
3.- Copy new created PRCs to SD card using FileZ, ZLauncher's File Manager, Resco Explorer, whatever.
4.- Using SD Card Reader or CardReader program copy the PRCs to your PC.

Well I patched it and it runs but then says

Is that normal too? Maybe you need things like UDMH or who knows to run this game. I'm not sure (but it should be) that the patch is fine.

If I can't run it or understand the registration process (if any) then I can't create a keygen for it (but it's way easy to patch).

I'll try a hard reset wiping everything on my Treo installing the patched game and see if it runs like that.

Does this game runs on a Palm Treo 650? 'cos I can't run it not even in the simulator.

Thanks, but the keygen provided looks for 2 files with the same name but with different extensions, i.e. something.prc and something.pdb . The KG insists that the files exist, and they aren't in the program directory. It also prompts for an 8 digit device ID? I have no clue what this is. Help please?

Let's start with the basics...are you using the version of Taber's and/or Davis's from the Skyscape website? The Skyscape keygen will only work with their releases of the guides.

I did not try Taber's, but I did test Davis's from Skyscape, and Davis's had a Drugguide.prc and a Drugguide.pdb file. See Post # 4067 for a detailed explanation of how I generated the serial and where to find the Device ID.

The only reason I presonally talked about banning, and I will take the blame for that is because I have moderated a previous board who now has 460 THOUSAND members. Yes you read that right.

And what eventually happens (and this started around 10k members) is that you have people who post 5 posts telling someone they are *%*%* or what ever and they clutter things beyond belief.

I remember one instance where it was on EVERY section and it was so hard to get rid of.

Along with attachments for our forum, it is asking for trouble.

I just posted a note to let people know ahead of time. Kind of like the SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST DEAL. If we dont enforce ANYTHING, that is when things become problems. Sure we all want good people over there, but you know what happens.

Its no harm to anyone. We are just trying to keep it decent. I mean so far there are almost 120 memebers and that is only in a few days. If it takes off more and more 500 is just around the corner.

Again, its not to be full of anything or BOSS around people its only to make note of what we expect. I know I would be pretty mad if people always uploaded virus crap and then posted all over to just trash a board.

And all of that is the last thing anyone wants as well as the people who got it up and going.

Hopefully this makes sense and you dont see it as me busting your chops :) Just trying to explain it in terms of what we dont want to happen.

I dont want to spend 3hrs trying to ban someone who creates a new profile every 5 minutes. Did that once, and had to go to the Internet service provider because the forum exploded in hell and no one could post cause this person was posting 10 posts per section as fast as I could delete.

And if was a paid job that wouldn't have been so bad :D

looks like this is only a DEMO. Demo versions cannot be ptched because the developer purposely writes a short version of the game/app. and since I dont know the missing code to turn the game/app into the FULL version, there's just nothing i can do.

maybe someone else has a copy or can do something with it?

DISCLAIMER: As many of you know, I never actually have a clue what I'm talking about and this post is no exception.

PalmOS5 just isn't a multitasking OS, so no, there is no *real* way to do it. If you try iSpin (http://www.taptarget.com/products/ispin.html) (a *cheap* taskbar+desktop+startmenu type launcher replacement with a file browser), it mimics this ability... but in all actuallity it is just re-opening the app. When I last used it, it was pretty cheezy and it was sorta buggy with some programs, but that was close to a year and a half ago and on a Zire 71. Give it a try, it may be a perfect match and you might just love it.

PalmOS6 was supposed to be multitasking... or something close to multitasking (multithreading I think??). So if you could talk ($$) Access/PalmSource into releasing it to you (us!) and somehow get it installed and working correctly, that might do the trick. And, unless I'm mistaken, you'd have the only OS6 device ever.

I guess that's your first Palm :)

Palm can't execute an application from the SD Card directly. To execute it, it has to copy it first to RAM and then execute it from there, and after that usually erases it from RAM.

That's why I use ZLauncher! After I install a new program to my Palm, I can click it in ZLauncher and tell it to copy to the SD Card, including PDBs and everything! (not only the program itself). When I run it, it copies all the files to RAM, execute it, and then wipe it.

Another question that I have as well is that i am trying to download the latest bluetooth software for my Treo 650... where can I get that w/o having to update my Treo.

Bluetooth drivers are in the ROM of the Palm so you have to update it. Actually I didn't know there were bluetooth drivers update for the Treo 650 (or maybe I'm confused as usual).

Pocket Tunes serial ONLY WORK with Pocket Tunes 4.0.0.

If you want 4.0.1, you have to install 4.0.0 first, register it, and then update. The serial everybody has is banned in 4.0.1.

i installed ptunes 4.0 from what was posted in this thread but forgot to uncheck the "check for updates every X amount of days box, so i think they eventually figured it out that i didn't buy it and i started to see the trial pop ups. i uninstalled it and reinstalled it using the same serial for the 2nd time and it took it. this time i remembered to uncheck that box and so far so good. also upgraded to 4.0.1 both times and the app stayed regged.

Yes, things are being updated over at the other forum.

I know one is a "thank you" button like we have here.

So if you ever have problems, just know that more than likely it is upgrades to make things even better.

Didn't know you wanted to create another forum. Not sure why since the whole reasoning behind this new one was just that purpose.

I see nothing wrong with the new one, and in fact it is WAY better than the layout here. I just dont see what another one will get over the one we have.

The whole reason for the new one was so it was easier to navigate and more functional than this one. Everything here is over there, but it'll be much more organized.

I doubt you can have much more at the other (new) forum besides a few more topics, but just thought i'd save you the headache.

But at least that is your headache, I already have enough of those :D

Thanks, but everything I've tried which has been posted to this point has not worked. It seems like every key or keygen has been exclusively for PT Ver 3 and not for Ver 4.

Someone claimed to have Ver 4 working, so apparently, it is possible. If someone wants to PM me, that's fine, too. Thanks for the flames though. Beaten to death or not, it doesn't seem that the Pocket Tunes 4 key issue has been resolved as of yet.

See post #3646 for Pocket Tunes v4.0. Install and register with 3HJRX-HYUA2. Then install Ptunes 4.01 over it and it should remain registered.

As stated above, be sure to keep "Check for updates every 30 days" UNCHECKED, or it will stop working after it checks their server for an update.

i wouldn't hold my breath tho... its one of those demo-only kinda apps that you have to register to download the FULL version. if you can find the FULL version, we can patch it.

Yeah, try that and see what happens. You may need to register if you haven't and maybe agree to something. Not sure if that is an absolute thing, but try what Smoove said.
