I do agree that you have mentioned a great software application for the palm O.S! MobiTalk sound fantastic!

I haven't downloaded or installed the trial version on my device because it doesn't mention it being compatible with the Palm Centro! I emailed their "technical help" department to ask if it was compatible and am awaiting a response! I hope it is!

So... I echo Lifedrive-n's request.... If anyone has... or can provide a keygen for this fantastic software (mobiTalk)... please do so! We all would appreciate it!

some movies play choppy on tcpmp unless you convert them and make them smaller(lower quality). as for coreplayer you don't need to.

I'm not familiar with PrefExport. Is it an application that is installed on the palm device or is it a windows O.S program? If it is a Windows program is it ran in DOS? :confused:

I apologize... but I hesitate when it comes to installing software/programs that I am not familiar with because I have had such bad luck when I do so... I usually end up having my computer infected with some type of virus which causes me to have to format my hard drive and reload everything! I hope you understand!

Hey I think I just broke the registration for audio gateway. I am posting my method to see if anyone can confirm or deny. First, I used resco explorer to delete the two SwSs files ( I think thats the name). Then I opened the audiogateway. it showed the "trial software good for 14 days" or whatever. Then I hit home to exit the app (because I remembered I needed to change my hotsync name). I clicked on change name ( a freeware app, easy to find) and changed my name. Then I went into audiogateway again, only I didn't get a nag screen! Just out of curiosity I checked the registration page, and it showed my new hotsync id, but the . I exited and changed my name back and went back into audiogateway, again no nag screen, and the registration page showed my changed hotsync id. Time will tell if this worked, I guess. Also, I later found out my device name was blank in bluetooth, weird mystery. BTW I am on a palm centro.

Nope, too many others have used it successfully for it to have something to do w/ HSID....Double check that u entered everything correctly (aside from NX, everything else is a number & not an I or O)

wardensecurity is patched... you do not need pref export for tht

pref export is a palm prog


it's something like this



a palm with NVFS or let's say all palm os have some preference which are equivalent to a window's registry



all the apps put in their prefences in the palm device


with the help of tht the app is able to tell whether you have registered your app or not



trial sof's are able to tell how many days are left for your trial




when you trial ends..... and you delets the app......... these are not deleted



so if you install the app after some time.... the app refers to the preference and is able to tell you tht no more days are left



so if you delete these preferences ..... then you can use the trial version over and over again

so you have to search for the pref of the app with the number and then delete it



this one app is more user friendly than and has many more features than the previously use pprm.prc


this can delete the prevf on the spot without the need of a reset and this can expor all you prefs into a *prc on a card





you must have seen some ppl giving registration file with app


tht reg file can be generated frm this app

all you have to do is tick a particular app and say export


and then install the exported pref app to any palm and the thing is going to work







<WARNING: if you delete any preference of an app tht isalready registered then that particular app becomes a trial>

Anyone use any of these? Are they better than blazer? or (Crash!) Opera?

(the browsers you listed either suck or cant be obtained yet)
The conclusion ive come up with on browsing with my centro is this, i have 3 browsers; 1)Palm Blazer, it really isnt that bad if you switch to small font mode, still kinda sucks for the more sophisticated sites but come on how much can you expect. 2) Opera Mini 3, crashes allot or hangs up but has some cool features likes skins and the whole pressing back scrolls animation and it also does a decent job of rendering sites, at least better than blazer. 3)Opera Mini 4, i only really have this because it will load this java website i have to use everyday for work that none of the other browser will. Its a step better than O3 but i cant stand the color red (yah i know im weird) and it has no skin option plus just like O3 it crashes or hangs up a bit.

It seems to me that here within the next year or so mobile browsers are going to get amazing (a mobile firefox would be sweet and i think is planned) the only problem us Palm users need fear is that it seems to me like people are leaning more towards Symbian and that *** awfull thing microsoft makes and less toward Palm, I think Centro being as cheap as it is may have helped that though. We'll see.

Heres what i do, i DL a whole *** load of ebooks (usually .pdf format) and then use www.mobipocket.com (http://gsmhosting.com/vbb/www.mobipocket.com) to make them palm friendly as it does a really good job on formatting them and its also free, the only problem i have ran into is the people who make ebook torrents name the files in a rediculous way that palm doesnt like to much (long *** names with like the author and title and year it was published and authors moms name ect) so renaming and converting my 4gb (so far) library is an ongoing task.

What are the options:

A new NetFront from Access. They currently released something about a new version for Windows Mobile. The only existing version for Palm OS was released for Sony Clié. The Clié version is known as a nice and decent browser and there are successful attempts to have it work on other Palm OS 5 devices. But this is an hack and not everyone wants to do. I’m not sure how well the relations are between Access and Palm nowadays, but some money from Palm could convince Access to make a version running on all current Palm OS devices. But looks like Palm isn’t interested…
A native Opera. Rumors are Opera 9 might come native to Palm OS. But looking on the descending market it might be just wishful thinking.
A port of the Gecko engine (Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape). The engine is known for taking much memory, but there are versions for mobile Nokia devices. Based on them, one could try to port a Gecko-based browser to Palm OS.
Finally, a port of the WebKit project. This is something Donald C. Kirker wants to do and I’m supposed to help him. But honestly, I lost the track of the activities as I had other things to do. As far as I know also Donald has to earn money for daily living - you can imagine how much time is left for such a big project. You see, there are 4 options. Option 1 and 2 might cost Palm a lot of money for licenses. Option 3 and 4 just need work and time. In my opinion, Palm could profit from the iPhone hype and benefit from a WebKit port with a similar interface to Safari on iPhone or iPod Touch.

Well, let’s look back to the PalmPDF project I did over a year ago: 4 weeks until you get it compiled and linked, 4 weeks until you removed the obvious bugs and crashes. Then you release a beta and let it test from users. Now you will need to fine tune the GUI and catch the remaining bugs. This might be another month work but over a bigger time frame. Now we have 3 month work for a decent browser compatible with the growing list of web-apps compatible with Safari on iPhone. 3 month, well I would do it for 20000 US-$. Palm this is an offer! If you think about the number of devices sold each year and the list of devices already sold - this are a few cents per device.
Well, as we speak about such projects: Ever thought about having WiFi on your Treo smartphone? Well, if you don’t have WiFi directly, it might be an option to have a BT-to-WiFi-bridge in your pocket which you can enable if necessary and connect from your Treo -> to the bridge and the bridge connects to the WiFi-network. Cool stuff isn’t it? Palm sells the TX. Nice device, not too expensive with WiFi and BT. One would say, an ideal device for such a bridge. I made some test and could create the correct service on the TX, but unfortunately the Treo didn’t recognized my TX as network/modem device. Here I probably need some insides. Palm? Can you help me?

Anyone use any of these? Are they better than blazer? or (Crash!) Opera?

Contrary to popular belief nWeb 4.5 does exist and runs on the 650 700 755.
its on my 755 now it had some great potential but the develper never finished porting it from t600 to 650/700. the version we got from them is usable on 650/700 platform it just isnt the most stable thing out there. 5way nav is 50/50 but it does fine when needed which is everyday for work.

Universe will be "THE" Palm OS browser in the end. IMOP

I wasn't aware that I already had the ToySoft Keygen installed on my device and when I went to check it I noticed that it listed both SayIt & Voice Mail Recorder! :D

When I get home from work I'll download both software applications to see if they work although I'm almost positive they will..... I haven't had any problem yet when I follow the directions you guys give here on this forum!

i am using RC8 and i tried RC9 which is not available just like tht

but RC9 had some errors with loading snes too!!! well in tht case i am happy with RC8

when i load a game in nes... it starts frm the very beginning(:()

in RC9 also didn't help nes.. rather with snes.. it says "not snes9x file. freeze..... (though it never froze.. but it said that)



i'd be really thankful to help with nes.... i just love contra but am saddened with this part

Take a look at the following previous posts, they should help u out...

here is the keygen (Thanx and credit goes To Suntzu) for all motion apps.....;)

just hotsync this ...... then note down all the serial

Steps for Applying Keygen:

1. First, backup your data (use this to restore if something happens).
2. Phone off.
3. Enter any 5 digits on Registration Step 1. It will say error, select register manually. DO NOT ENTER ANYTHING, just hit the next button.
4. You will get a series of 22 Error messages. EACH Error message gives you an unlock code for the following programs and in this order:
1 - mvoice4
2 - mdesk
3 - mdesk pro
4 - mMovie
5 - mRing for Treo600
6 - mRing for treo650
7 - msafe
8 - mVoiceMail
9 - mVoice Mail pro v2.7
10 - mNews
11 - mLights
12 - mCamlock Personal
13 - mCamlock enterprise
14 - mVoice Mail pro v3.0
15 - mVoice Mail pro(G729) v3.0
16 - mvoice4
17 - mocean
18 - mvoicemail5
19 - mvoicemail5
20 - mvoice5
21 - mocean3
22 - msafe4
23 - mRing45.
After you are done recording all the codes (memorize, scribble, type, etc), reinstall the original LMreg.prc.
6. You can then follow the same directions as above, but put in the unlock codes to the programs you want.

NOTE: For mOcean, you may need to write down #17 and #21. When you go to register, enter #17. It will ask if you have any more programs to register, then enter #23. Then you should be set.

NOTE #2: - Use the REAL DEVICE. Do not use Simulator because the resulting key/serial will be different. ALSO, if you are using multiuser hack make sure the program you are running and LMreg both have the same hotsync name or it won't register for you.

i am using RC8 and i tried RC9 which is not available just like tht

but RC9 had some errors with loading snes too!!! well in tht case i am happy with RC8

when i load a game in nes... it starts frm the very beginning(:()

in RC9 also didn't help nes.. rather with snes.. it says "not snes9x file. freeze..... (though it never froze.. but it said that)



i'd be really thankful to help with nes.... i just love contra but am saddened with this part

I'm not at my pc right now so I can't post the keygen here. But if you do a search for the toysoft keygen it should pop up. Down load it..sync it to your phone. Open the app, fill in the first to lines with her info select Lightwav2. I did that on my 755p and got the serial for Lightwav and it worked, it should work on the centro. On the side note my GF just got a Centro and I want to set it up on her phone this weekend. Let me know if it works so I know when I see her I can put it on hers. Thanx and hope this helps.

the toysoft keygen does not work for the centro. you have to use hotsync switch and the buzz subverted keygen. since you supplied your serial number i went ahead and generated your reg code for you.

it should be 13909. if you have any problems feel free to ask.

Ok. that worked. I feel stupid....thats what I did the first time but like I said it was running on my card. I just moved it over to my treo and the first time it froze...or I could have been impatient. But I reset my phone and now it works.....Thanks RogueSaber. I gess it just needs to run from the device and not the card.

kingtyce, I wanted to thank for the help with 2play it worked just fine.

I wanna know if anyone knows of a keygen or password for cardlauncher, or an app that does the same. I remember seen a couple of them around, but I just cant think of their names.


and last but no least, what is the best IM program. I got mundu, and it was working alright, but now, after a month of using it, it doesnt open, saying ot expired two weeks ago, no idea how that happened.

OK, I suppose some got confused on my directions, so I'l try again:

1. Download ALL 3 files (***.part1.rar, ***.part2.rar, & ***.part3.rar)
2. Go to the folder where u downloaded the files.
3. Double-click on ***.part1.rar
4. Select where to extract the .prc to & hit OK

U only need to open the first file (or in truth ANY 1 of the files). WinRAR will automatically piece the 3 archives together and give u 1 file (the .prc)

4 questions


1. how to change icons individually in the native applications launcher

2. how to store database files by smartlist to go on card in access native format

3. there are many progs for windows which upload files to gmail hdd (it's stored in the form of emails with attachments)
can tht be done on palm..... if not are there any better ftp(s) other than drive hq through which i can store unlimited files???
and access them through resco explorer seamlessly

4. how do i password protect doc to go 10 files
i want it like the windows version does it ..... not just change the extension and call it encrypted like mencytor
