man!!! that's scaring the sh*t out of everyone....


well it doesn't brick the palms

once with my LD... i put warpspeed on full

and then... the whole screen went white/greyish

and then it remained like that till the battery ran out....

reset didn't work and all that...

you'd be lucky if you have a treo... you could simply remove the batt and then shove it back in

that would work

but it could destroy the processor over a period of time

I only said it got hot but it didn't brick phone, I'm still using it for two year now and using right now to write this through Opera Mini at 506 Mhz.

Any way through trial and error and some foruns that I read, the max overclock with Pxa Clocker on a Treo 650 is 506 MHZ. Higher then this is very unstable. But I do stress that I stopped putting the whole system at this rate. I just put launchers, web browsers, messeging, callfilter, calender, task, every that should be fast.

My tungsten c is working on 400Mhz, I'm oveclocking it on 530 Mhz, is still working but I hear some strange sound (something like ultra fast wizz :D ) and I'm return previously 400Mhz and nothing is happend :)

That sounds like the same problem I'm having with my Treo 650. Read pages 549 and 548 on this thread, MikeJones offers some great advice and resources that offers a lot of help on 4gb sd cards and card readers. Good luck and you can thank him for the posts.

Mybad, LOL.....I guess I should have added this. I don't use any of these programs like ARD (only at work). I tried the patch and it also didn't work. I actually had to go back and read (come on I'm a guy....we don't need stinkn' instructions, LOL) What you need to do is after you install it all from the website. Close the little red Liberty icon on the taskbar. Next open the patched version and when it ask for the ID and reg code add in this

HSID: kracked dude (The first line ID)

Serial: 06093 (Reg code)

you may have to install the prc by itself FIRST and use MUH it to change your hotsync name to...... kracked dude

I tried it and works on my treo. Hope this helps

I haven't seen the Centro rom on a 650 but I have seen the 700 and 755p rom on the 650. I actually got to play around with the 700 version and it was pretty amazing. The only downside is some functions don't work properly ie. Bluetooth, Hotsync. There is a guy named Kocoman over at treocentral who came up with the way to flash the roms with only a SD card you may also find him at mytreo.net Its really easy and instruction are straight forward. And just a thought but what about the LINUX on 650's. I seen they actually got a full linux download somewhere with instructions. I also seen that it has all the working functions of the original ROM, like phone, BT, Hotsync, camera and web. Let me find the link and I'll hook you guys up with it.

see......now your talking. all you had to do was explain your situation. since you don't have a hotsync name, install MUH to your device and give ultimate phone a hotsync name. if you don't have MUH you can download it by doing a search on this forum. Afterwards you can go through the whole keygen/utimate phone procedure. YOU NEED A HOTSYNC NAME FOR KEYGENS TO WORK!!!!!!!

Just Iphones, WM have the "like gps" feature. The Iphones also use WIFI access points with GSM antennas to determine your position with Google Maps. Palm didn't put this feature so Google couldn't use it for Palm. Maybe a Centro Update could be planned. For now you have to use Google Maps and by hand put a address near you. Or buy a bluetooth gps and install "Where am I" and it where so you on Google Maps your position.

This is want I know but I could be wrong, if anyone whats to correct me?

My only guess would be, when you downloaded ringo the first time you got a currupt file. Sometimes that happens when you download files. Go here and download the full file again. I haven't tried to download it but I'm pretty sure it comes in a zip file (the full installer). Sometimes companies have several parts you need to download. Mybad go here and download the trial on top of the registered file it will stay registered. If that doesn't work I don't know what to say besides maybe uninstall the app then reinstall it. You may also look into Lightwav Pro, that's what I use and its great as well as easy to use. I don't know about ringo but with lightwav you can use pics, animated gif pics or live video for ringers and you can run them straight from the card. Hope this helps.

why don't you copy the bluetooth files from you current ROM using resco explorer to an SD card and then try out flshing and then install these things to RAM using resco explorer again

It is nice how small time is need to reset tungsten c, and full reset is done for 5-6 seconds!!! I remember my first palm, m125, that was so sloooooooow :D sometimes 10-15sec to reset :D I nedd to change a batery on tungsten c, but how... ;)

and it actually hard resets faster as it deletes everything in a jiffy (1-2 seconds)

LD I didn't understand you too. Correct me if I'm wrong, but at the time 3 Palms came out : Tungstun C with keyboard, 400 Mhz processor, WIFI, no bluetooth hardware, mono output for sound, Palm OS 5. Tungstun T had the bluetooth, no WIFI, a slide out graffi area, no keyboard, i think a 150 Mhz texas instrument processor, stereo output, Palm OS 5. Tungstun W the first GSM palm but you had to use a earphone, keyboard, Palm OS 4, i think it had no bluetooth and no wifi.

My Treo 650 also take a long time to bootup (not as much as LD), with both Palm logos, network GSM trun on, pxa clocker, resco locker, takes 1 minute and 40 seconds (1m25 when you see the first screen but you can't do nothing almost). If I do a soft reset (reset with 5-nav pressed up), it like safe boot, its real fast, about 15 seconds with both Palm logos.

Hey LD, You know you can flash your CF with a custom Image of the os (as long as it's the same file length) with the crap taken out of the installer. So when you hard reset it will only install the apps you want and use?

You can remove the crap like addit+ (causes most of the hangups), docs to go (I never use them anyway) stuff like that and your soft resets will be like a T/T or T/X speed. I HATED the 2-3 min startup of my LifeDrive. It helps lots and now it's fast! There are plenty of tutorials on how to add/remove installer files and programs when you have the LifeFlash self-upgrade.

My ISO has a lot of things removed, I'd send it to you but for some reason I can not find the dvd with the backup for the life of me.... I'll try to re-look around.


To all the people wanting to get serials/keygens:
Many of the ones you are asking for have been posted in the past. People tire of answering the same requests over and over. There is a reason why the forum rules say use search first then post.

If you log in (it doesn't appear when you're logged out) there is a "Search This Thread" link right underneath the page numbers at the top.

Tips: try to search with 1 or 2 keywords. Ex: I want to find "The incredible edible egg" type in either "edible" or "incredible egg", etc.

I just purchased a Centro and was able to install Bejeweled but when I tried to enter that key, it wouldn't allow because it was too long for the line. this freeware called whinehack removes it and makes your palm ultra silent

ok so here it is


install a copy of resco explorer

go to your ROM and select the bluetooth files of your palm (they have self explainatory names like bluetooth.prc, etc.)

in the menu press copy to... (copy to a SD card... if you don't have one then use softick RAM drive)


then install the 700 ROM to your phone


then, press and hold the files you have and then click on install to RAM option

this way.... you would use a 700p ROM with 650 bluetooth files

so this shall make your bluetooth work









i think that 700's ROM is not making you bluetooth work as 700p must be having bluetooth 2.0 and 650 has bluetooth 1.1 i guess (like my LD)

my palm Vx used to reset with it's memory full in 7 seconds and with nothing on it's memory (after hard reset) it used to reset in 4 seconds


palm Vx was the pinnacle of speed (only that you could run almost like NOTHING on it


if i compare my Ld with my Vx today.... i realise that my palm Vx couldn't run even a single app that i have on my LD today


still i am amazingly joyful (my dog's name is joy by the way) with my LD (soo to be LF)

Hello Everyone...

I know its been awhile since I've last posted but I've been very busy with the demands of family and work!

I was on a few nights ago looking for the lastest version of Teallock...Teallock 6.73 and fortunately I was able to locate it usng the "search" option above. The post said that it was a "cracked" version. I downloaded it and installed it on my device then attempted to register it but wasn't able to.

Am I missing something... or has it been so long since I've last posted that I've forgotten how to use a "cracked" version of software?

Please help and/or explain... I can't seem to get the "cracked" version of Teallock 6.73 to register on my device.

I know its been awhile since I've last posted but I've been very busy with the demands of family and work!

I was on a few nights ago looking for the lastest version of Teallock...Teallock 6.73 and fortunately I was able to locate it usng the "search" option above. The post said that it was a "cracked" version. I downloaded it and installed it on my device then attempted to register it but wasn't able to.

Am I missing something... or has it been so long since I've last posted that I've forgotten how to use a "cracked" version of software?

Please help and/or explain... I can't seem to get the "cracked" version of Teallock 6.73 to register on my device.

When you say load, load it in the phone right? I load the three files and still i can't run bebop, still say unable to load PToolbox. I noticed that the PToolbox has a separate icon, but the bebopmap is hidden. Maybe that's the reason i can't run it?

HSID is HotSync ID - THe name you use for your palm when transferring software to it

Right, load all files to the phone (not to a card which may cause probs). PToolbox is a separate icon & bebopmap works with bebop (so u won't see an icon for it)

Lifedrive-n... I also want to thank you. I did download Teallock from one of your previous postings... I just wasn't aware that I didn't need to attempt to register it! I read your posts indicating that you experienced problems with TealLock. I used it without any problems on my old device... a Sony Clie UX50... and it worked flawlessly! I downloaded and tried Warden but I couldn't get it to function reliably. I had it setup to allow two programs to run while my device was locked... AutoSync and Resco Backup v2.20.1. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work all the time and I can't risk losing all my data or not having my data! I'm hoping the latest version of Teallock works on my Palm Centro! Wish me luck!

Actually, if you go to the DA's office (BEFORE the court date) and show proof that you did indeed have current insurance coverage at the time, they should drop the charge of failure to provide proof of insurance. (It will lighten the burden on their number of court cases). Granted, they'll probably give you a light slap on the back of the hand & tell you that you must keep a current copy in your vehicle...Just smile and nod in agreement. It beats having to take time off to go through the court system.

actually............ i'm staying away from all the teal apps

you know what???? they are all developed for use without much hacking into the palm os


but you probably know how much i've already hacked into my LD (thanks to dmitry and cmlx at pda4x)


i now use almost every app of dmitry made for PDA (not smartphone)

i should be able to use even warpspeed when CF has been installed

now my LD has a mac skin (but not as elegant as the mac itself) , it usually underclocks (dynaclock), i have unlimited dynamic memory (you know this one don't you?), i have a very good DBCache (uncache.... still not moved over to cleanstart), my cache cleans up every once in a while(reset doctor),and you still have no idea how much more i have hacked into the LD




but you know.... life without this hacking becomes pain the the A$$

so i can always keep away from these incompatible apps

Going to check this out, but till now I have saved memory on my Treo 650 (which doesn't have alot) by using my card with Zlauncher, you can move the app and its files all to card then when the app is run, it moves the app to main memory and executes. Easy.

For exemple, my Opera Mini has all the java files on the card, when I run it in Zlauncher, zlauncher puts all the java files and opera mini in main memory and runs, saving alot of space. And by the way when you leave the app and enter zlauncher it deletes the files in main memory.

I tried the 1.0.4 version from this forum and then I installed 1.0.8 on top and it worked. Now my Treo 650 has a better camera. I had no Pxa clock it at 507 mhz cause its a bit slow doing it all through software but its great.

but the best is the need for speed mobile (you need JVM for it)

Question.... Do any of you know of software similiar to AutoSync which will allow you to set a time for your device to sync with your computer automatically. I'm having a problem with getting AutoSync to work with Teallock!

Lifedrive_n may have a point!

I'll keep trying! In the meantime and in between time I'd appreciate any advice, suggestions or recommendations offered!

My guess would be it needs to be loaded in RAM & not the card. Not sure though, I don't use the program...

@country... you might try all the things in the world but doesn't autosync hotsync with the computer???


did you add hotsync to teallock allow list:eek:? did you add auto sync to teal lock allow list?


do the above and if you still experience problems then follow the below steps


ok, these are a few thing i think might solve your problems


but they are sheer compromises if you want to use teal lock



1. if you use cleanstart or uncache, add both teallock and autosync and every component of it's to your list of which apps recieve reset code on a reset

2. if that doesn't work then stop using cleanstart and uncache

3. if you don't use cleanstart or uncache or the above doesn't work for you..... then use tealscan and then add autosync and all it's components to protected memory list


4. stop skinUI for these apps or all the apps if this doesn't work too (i was having agendus 12.05 errors with skinUI)


5. stop using zlauncher (any other launcher)

6. most important, for a proper hotsync you processor frequency must be default STOP USING OVERCLOCKING OR UNDERCLOCKING UTILITIES (ALSO APPLIES TO OTHERS READING THIS.... EVEN DRIVE MODE NEEDS DEFAULT PROCESSOR FREQUENCY)

7. do not change the DA names in application launcher using change me!

8. LAST AND FINAL OPTION IS TO STOP USING TEAL LOCK IF YOU REALLY WANT TO USE AUTO SYNC OR STOP USING AUTOSYNC IF YOU WANT TO USE TEAL LOCK:p:p

I never uesed MUH nut HSNswitch, if you install the app on the card you have to make to versions, one for the card and for the main memory. Maybe MUH you have to do the same. Think of it has two different apps.

well i have never had this problem, but i have read that resco explorer can solve this. install resco explorer and through the menu try "repair file associations". if you don't have resco explorer do a search or use this forum link http://www.gsmhosting.com/vbb/misc.php?do=showattachments&t=202671. good luck?

I just researched the pxaclocker that was posted here and it works just as beautifully, i think it may be more stable too. I'm using it on my treo 680. I still can't find the astraware keygen though.

Hey Rouge, It's funny that when I first started using the astraware keygen, it worked like a charm and I downloaded a ton of astraware games. About a good two days after that, everytime I tried using the keygen, it just would cause my 650 to crash. Dosen't make any sense at all.

I've heard pros & cons for both Lightspeed and PXA clocker. It just seems to be individual preference and trial & error. PXA clocker wil only work on Palms using a PXA-based processor whereas Lightspeed is supposed to work on all Palms (Intel XScale, Texas Instruments OMAP, i.MX1/i.MXL and Samsung processors).
There is always a possibility of 'bricking' ur device by overclocking since ur running the processor at a faster speed than what it should run and in turn creating more heat inside it. However, most processors should be able to handle slight increases do to tolerance and the manufacturer always limiting the speed below what it can truly handle. But running a processor at its limit (or beyond) for any great length of time will only result in a nifty looking coaster on your coffee table...:eek:

When i used PXA clocker it worked so well and quick i assumed it was really more stable. There is one major problem though. Yes the cracked version of Pxa clocker here has a prob with the power button, if you take out the card, u will not have to take the battery out. I suggest the freeware version with combo powerup, this way on reset pxa clocker is started and you just have to press on until some finds a good crack for pxa clocker.

I have done speed testes with lightspeed 3 and pxa clocker 5.1 with Speedy 7 (u have to put speedy at the clock speed if you are not clocker the whole system) and pxa clocker is much faster on my treo 650. Pxa clocker should not be more than 507 mhz on a treo 650.

I teste both apps with the max clock and speedy says pxa clocker is best for treo 650. I haven't tried warpspeed.

The value you put in the clocker apps is not the real life speed cuz of system alarms and notifications.

Update:
-Lightspeed 3 at 520 Mhz and Speedy 6.4 gives me 395 MHz real speed
-Pxa Clocker at 506 MHz and Speedy says 423 MHz.

So I guess Pxa clocker looks slow but indeed is faster. I feel its more nerves than lightspeed.

What do you guys think? Have you did yours tests?

Yes the cracked version of Pxa clocker here has a prob with the power button, if you take out the card, u will not have to take the battery out. I suggest the freeware version with combo powerup, this way on reset pxa clocker is started and you just have to press on until some finds a good crack for pxa clocker.

I have done speed testes with lightspeed 3 and pxa clocker 5.1 with Speedy 7 (u have to put speedy at the clock speed if you are not clocker the whole system) and pxa clocker is much faster on my treo 650. Pxa clocker should not be more than 507 mhz on a treo 650.

I teste both apps with the max clock and speedy says pxa clocker is best for treo 650. I haven't tried warpspeed.

The value you put in the clocker apps is not the real life speed cuz of system alarms and notifications.

Update:
-Lightspeed 3 at 520 Mhz and Speedy 6.4 gives me 395 MHz real speed
-Pxa Clocker at 506 MHz and Speedy says 423 MHz.

So I guess Pxa clocker looks slow but indeed is faster. I feel its more nerves than lightspeed.

What do you guys think? Have you did yours tests?

If you can get ahold of any Treo 600, 700, 755p or centro usb cord, they will all work. You can also set up a hotsync using Bluetooth. I heard some people were successful getting a hotsync through a net setting but I have no clue on that. I actually did a hotsync the first couple minutes I got my phone...then I used NVBackup to back up my "blank" treo so when ever I need to do spring cleaning on my treo I can just hard reset and restore the "blank" backup. So I can install everything I NEED (ie Chatter) that uses my HSID. I just went to my hotsync icon and you can also do IR hotsync to a PC/Handheld. That way you maybe able to get a HSID for your palm.

@country... you might try all the things in the world but doesn't autosync hotsync with the computer???


did you add hotsync to teallock allow list:eek:? did you add auto sync to teal lock allow list?


do the above and if you still experience problems then follow the below steps


ok, these are a few thing i think might solve your problems


but they are sheer compromises if you want to use teal lock



1. if you use cleanstart or uncache, add both teallock and autosync and every component of it's to your list of which apps recieve reset code on a reset

2. if that doesn't work then stop using cleanstart and uncache

3. if you don't use cleanstart or uncache or the above doesn't work for you..... then use tealscan and then add autosync and all it's components to protected memory list


4. stop skinUI for these apps or all the apps if this doesn't work too (i was having agendus 12.05 errors with skinUI)


5. stop using zlauncher (any other launcher)

6. most important, for a proper hotsync you processor frequency must be default STOP USING OVERCLOCKING OR UNDERCLOCKING UTILITIES (ALSO APPLIES TO OTHERS READING THIS.... EVEN DRIVE MODE NEEDS DEFAULT PROCESSOR FREQUENCY)

7. do not change the DA names in application launcher using change me!

8. LAST AND FINAL OPTION IS TO STOP USING TEAL LOCK IF YOU REALLY WANT TO USE AUTO SYNC OR STOP USING AUTOSYNC IF YOU WANT TO USE TEAL LOCK:p:p

I actually had already done what you suggested in step 1. I don't have Cleanstart or Uncache installedon my device nor do I have anything that allows over/under-clocking.

It's funny... sometimes it appears to work! I'll have to keep diagnosing the problem to make sure I can get it to function reliably. if not then i will try what you suggested in step number 3!

I do have ZLauncher installed but I'm not willing to part with it yet.. even though it takes up sooooooooo much memory space!

What you suggested in steps 4 & 7 don't apply to me and number 8.... well... if I can have my way... and I can be pretty stubborn... I'm gonna keep both and MAKEthem play well together! (smile)

Benchmark hasn't been updated since 2005, Speedy 7 just came out this week. It even as some Windows Mobile device to compare to.

But any way see if you can beat 813 in benchmark with lightspeed. I'm using a Treo 650.

yes i agree you should not overclock the whole system. I just overclock zlauncher and some fast through apps like calendar, todo, etc... I also overclock photosHQ cuz its a bit slow. I also am overclock Operamini which I'm right now to write this

the official thing which will work for centro is the lightspeed 3.0

I just researched the pxaclocker that was posted here and it works just as beautifully, i think it may be more stable too. I'm using it on my treo 680. I still can't find the astraware keygen though.

i can only say that you provide tyce or saber with the HSID and they generate the code for you

Hey Rouge, It's funny that when I first started using the astraware keygen, it worked like a charm and I downloaded a ton of astraware games. About a good two days after that, everytime I tried using the keygen, it just would cause my 650 to crash. Dosen't make any sense at all.

Just installed Sysinfo and right below the real performace which mine is 500 Mhz, it has a button to Speedy, and Speedy says 423 Mhz real speed. So even SysInfo looks at Speedy, it gives you the real speed because it tests with apps you have installed on your device which can be working in the background (with palm internals you can see the system alarms and notifications). SysInfo just gives you the speed that the processor is at, but like you have notice may not be at that speed because of each one of our systems are set up.

I still have to test with Warpspeed, for now Pxa Clocker is the fastest on a Treo 650.

Just read the help next to the cpu speed in SysInfo, it says that it give a fast read but for better real benchmark use Speedy.

My guess would be it needs to be loaded in RAM & not the card. Not sure though, I don't use the program...

Actually it does work. on the keygen screen where it says can't find dictionary, dont try to look for it. just press the menu button and press register. try to register with any 8 DIGIT letter/number and you will see your real serial. write that down. then uninstall keygen and install original dic app. your real serial should look like this, example: DTG-7D123456-7F14-F8.

you are only going to be using the 7D123456 portion of your serial to register.

Don't know what type of Centro you got (CDMA or GSM) so here is MobiTV 1.07 Patched

Run the installer from the MobiTV site

Download and install from here http://www.mobitv.com/getmobitv/

After it downloads flick through some channels

Then download and install the Patched version found here. BUT YOU MUST RUN THE "TRIAL" FIRST then install the pacthed version ON TOP of the TRIAL.
