Run the installer from the MobiTV site

After it downloads flick through some channels

Then download and install the Patched version found here. BUT YOU MUST RUN THE "TRIAL" FIRST then install the pacthed version ON TOP of the TRIAL.

I'm not sure that'll work... I think you need to upgrade to 3.5 first anyway, and every site I've seen links to this:

The Curve, huh. I haven't heard to many bad things about it. If you have Sprint or AT&T palminfo center has an article for a free Centro. Or if you have sprint get insurance and smash/lose your 650 and pay $50 to get a new 755p or Centro. Just a thougt, :) decisions, decisions........ Just remember that touch screen will getcha, LMAO

You can't delete the Sprint TV from your ROM. I was just asking because I noticed some people I have talked to DO have the unlimited data so they have the basic sprint tv for free...and the "Links" work for them. And others that don't have the basic Sprint Tv the link doesn't work for them. My suggestion is go with the MobiTV APP and not the Sprint Tv link. The frame rate on the App is WAY better than the link. I just posted the links for convience. I know there are some lazy ones here, lol.

YW, to use Sirius link put it in blazer or whatever browser app your using on your Centro. It will open up the Sprint TV app and there you can choose the channels. I don't use it at all but its free :) some of the stations are hella week but oh well. Can't complain......

I just tested it out. I'm on my 755p now. I was just listening to POP-Chart Toping Hits and R&B Hits of the 80's
If you are manually putting the address recheck it and make sure you put it in properly. If you are on this site go back a page and just highlight the link and press the 5th hardbutton (middle of 5 way nav....oval button) it should automatically do everything from there.

Do you think you'd have any luck with "cracking" TV Guide for the Palm OS?

I got it from this sight a few months ago. It wasn't a "cracked" version but more like a work-around. I was successful at getting it to reset so that I could continue using it but lately I haven't been able to get it to work. I tried uninstalling it from my device and my computer desktop and re-installing it on both but I still get the message indicating that it had been installed on my device previously and that I must register it!

Any assistance in this area would be greatly appreciated!

From what I remember (dont have 650 any more) you need to have kinoma 4 ex installed.... I'm nowhere near my PC (out drinking.....SPRING BREAK). But as soon as I get to my PC I will upload Kinoma 4Ex for you...unless Tyce, Saber, Blizz or LD beat me to it. Maybe CORE player (dont know for a fact) will work. Since you have a 650 you may also need UMDH (I believe you will need this to up the memory). I think LD or Others (mybad if I missed you) may have posted it here. If not I will.............

There's a program called Comet by Natara that will do what you are looking for and the great thing is that it has already been offered here on this site! i don't recall who posted it but I'm sure if you do a "search" for it you'll be able to locate it!

It's a nice piece of software and it offers the use of a conduit so that you can keep a log on your computer desktop also! Check it out!

The guys on this site are great about offering help and opinions on various software available.... be sure to check back frequently.... there's always something happening here!

i know that this is a palm forum and i ought to be asking only palm stuff (i am referring to my previous post asking for bittorrent acceleration patch key).... but the fact is that this is sort of a friendly community now where i bet all of us behave like a family

I just successfully installed software on my Sprint Centro that provides the television listings for the locale cable company in my area.

Unfortunately it isn't free but I'll provide the information needed to perform the same tasks for those of you that migyt be interested in achieving the same. The costs for the service is $5.00 for two months or $20.00 for the entire year if I'm not mistakened!

As for Picture Link... I've already downloaded it and am using it! I used it to create picture icons of my wife and children then associated the icons with their individual phone numbers! When I tap the icon it automatically dials their number. You are correct! It is great!

Holy crap :eek:I I just DL'ed it after seeing it on mytreo forum and I have to say its not too interesting...in my eyes. Kinoma 4.4EX already has a google and youtube search...in the media guide. If you don't have Kinoma I suggest to get it. Oh Ya, YC you can stream ORB through Kinoma and watch whats actually on YOUR cable tv. You basically stream through your PC. You will need a tuner card but their way cheap. This TabiVideo Player is not all that. All it searches is youtube and google. Can't even watch movies I already have on my card! :mad: Plus on my NEW 755p (got it in the mail yesterday :D) just the buffering to connect to any video was way to long (45 sec to over 1 min :eek:). The video quality is about as good as SPRINT TV APP (which SUX). But I would love to hear what others say about this piece of software before I try to patch it.


And I don't know if I mentioned this to you YC but orb is FREE. Really its the only way I watch tv on my treo. I hate that with mobitv you can't see whats on before actually clicking on the link and waiting for it to load. All though I have heard better things about Sling Box. But that is not free orb is.....

ok, just downloaded limewire pro via torrents(small torrents are fast-- upto 135kbps) but the sad part is that it doesn't even work

over that i have already downloaded over 30% of one and over 40% of the other file

limewire wants to overwrite them and start from the f*cking beginning

ok, even that is fine.... but then it doesn't even download (just like ares, they have some wierd enemity like me with vista)

let's see how this goes.... after i finish these downloads, i'll look for a torrent thing on my mac

i already have speed download 5, but will have to check after my macbook returns this 5th (gone for upgrade of HHD, etc.)

i have to agree that this is the first torrent client that makes my downloads faster than uploads

and i love this (it also have so many other things i can keep doing along with the downloads

the version im running is v4.1.0p(build 11364). The one i downloaded here was build 11046. When i ran 11046 it asked to connect and update so i did and thats what it updated to, 11364.
Looks like the patch doesn't allow for the update to stay reg'd.
I haven't found a new patch for build 11364, maybe someone else on here has...
If not, I'd recommend removing 11364 and re-installing 11046 and not allowing it to update until a new patch can be located.

A browser that you can see the whole page and zoom? Well that would be Opera Mini, its not the best but it works. You may also want to look at nWeb/Web Pro, Xiino, Universe (beta, but they say it will be finished in JULY) and I'm not sure but I think you can use NetFront (I don't own a TX maybe someone else can help). All have been posted here i believe, just do a search for them and they should work. Word of advice.....OPERA is great but there are some downfalls. You can't cut and past, when you go to download it will open up blazer and this browser was not made specifically for Palm OS, it was made for JAVA which means you will need to download JVM for Palm OS. And as far as flash video goes. You can't watch it on your phone unless your using some kind of 3rd party media player. At palmpowerups they have FlashPlayer for Palm OS but its only version 5 so any site that has flash now you can't watch. Hope this helps a little. Also I would suggest buying kinoma since there are to many problems with the patched version, but you may want to also look at CORE PLAYER it also has a little brother named TCMP (which is free) and was posted several pages back.

I did. the patched file is the prc (exe file). the languages are the pdb's and they do not need to be patched.

Just because the app lets you go in to register again does not mean that its not registered.

Wow that's a first. i have compared download speeds with both before and utorrent was better by far.

i first was downloading it from bittorrent, then from azureus and then from utorrent ( now i am successfully completing it from utorrent [finally] just a few percents to go)[applaud]




and i am so happy


all i know is that every torrent client is the same behind it's frame and all it does is slow your downoads after an hour or two

so i kept on juggling them


if you know any other cool torrent client which will let me download fast then please inform

in the beginning, i told ppl that i was having only 30 kbps of download speed.

i got it from usedpdaparts for $95 and i am happy that i made the worth of every dollar i spent on that

it's now amazingly fast

it resets in 22 secs and that's without cleanstart or uncache enabled

i bet i could knock 2-3 secs further off with them

it's just a really cool upgrade which should take lots of space to explain

so i just made a document out of it so that you can all read it and know how good this upgrade has been for me

i recommend all the lifedrive users who have not yet shifted to read this

Are you just trying to access it using photo booth? If you have and that doesn't fix it....check your activity monitor and "kill" any program that will use it, then try. And last but not least if all else fails boot up in safe mode and access the camera it should work. Also you can run disk utility and check then fix disk permissions. I know at work we get mac's all the time and after I install software or even install an image, the disk permissions are jacked up and the only TRUE way to fix the permissions and verifiy the HD is through the install cd....if you need help let me know....I do this at work all day so its pretty easy.

Kind Of A-N-A-L Retentive Like to have a clean device as best a I can I don't know why ...

I used multiuserhack to change the HSID but when I went to register Audio Gateway 1.2 it told me...

"failed to read hotsync name. you need to assign a hotsync name to device before registering."

A browser that you can see the whole page and zoom? Well that would be Opera Mini, its not the best but it works. You may also want to look at nWeb/Web Pro, Xiino, Universe (beta, but they say it will be finished in JULY) and I'm not sure but I think you can use NetFront (I don't own a TX maybe someone else can help). All have been posted here i believe, just do a search for them and they should work. Word of advice.....OPERA is great but there are some downfalls. You can't cut and past, when you go to download it will open up blazer and this browser was not made specifically for Palm OS, it was made for JAVA which means you will need to download JVM for Palm OS. And as far as flash video goes. You can't watch it on your phone unless your using some kind of 3rd party media player. At palmpowerups they have FlashPlayer for Palm OS but its only version 5 so any site that has flash now you can't watch. Hope this helps a little. Also I would suggest buying kinoma since there are to many problems with the patched version, but you may want to also look at CORE PLAYER it also has a little brother named TCMP (which is free) and was posted several pages back.

Sorry MikeJones there is a Hidden feature in Opera Mini 4, if you need to copy and past just open up the palm keyboard and if you press the menu key, you will see the copy and past. Download with the new Operamini 4.1 beta is now done by Opera. I usually come to the site and write in the forum with OperaMini. By the way you should install FontSmoother and use a 8pt font, makes the pages much better.

hi everyone, i just received my Compact Flash today and i am just loving it

i got it from usedpdaparts for $95 and i am happy that i made the worth of every dollar i spent on that

it's now amazingly fast

it resets in 22 secs and that's without cleanstart or uncache enabled

i bet i could knock 2-3 secs further off with them

it's just a really cool upgrade which should take lots of space to explain

so i just made a document out of it so that you can all read it and know how good this upgrade has been for me

i recommend all the lifedrive users who have not yet shifted to read this

PXA Clocker can be used with any PalmOS PDA based on Intel PXA25x/26x/27x processor family. The list of devices include Tungsten C, Tungsten T3, Tungsten T5, Tungsten E2, Zire 72, Zire 31, LifeDrive, TX, and many of Sony Clie devices (NX60, NX70V, NX73V, NX80V, NZ90, TG50). Treo 650 and 700p smartphones are also supported (see note about 700p below).

It is safe to run PXA Clocker on any device to see if it is supported. Unsupported devices will display an error message and the application will quit.

I've heard it may freeze up the 680 & require pulling the battery, so use at your own discretion...

Well there was the a thread about that at sprintusers and treocentral. But it was about defragmenting a SD CARD. From what I know flash drives have a read/write LIFETIMER you can delete and add files so many times before the card will fail and you will be outta luck unless you have some software on your computer to extract the DATA off them. I don't know the exact number of times you can use it before it dies...every card/flash drive is different. I'll try to look around for some more info and what to do if it dies. All though I do know if its Kingston it has a life time warranty and if it fails with files on it...contact them and they will have you send it in, extract the data and put it on a new flash drive for you.

I'm pretty OCD when it comes to some things - like my computer and now my new Palm so I do ( and did ) a lot of resets to keep my palm clean and the way I like it. if Hotsync (does) update eveything you use on it ( I know I should read a bit more in the manual but it might be a quick Answer ) - like if I install ( with HS ) an app and then I go back and put an older version - deleting the new version on the palm then HS the old version will HS keep the new one as in the profile of the HSID and install the new version instead of the old one I want ?

Ok also if I use the key ( like the one king gave me / Thanks Again ) and then I do a reset will / does that SN that the key gives work - if I use the same HSID ?

What is the newest release of ZLoader - I have 5.45 - I got it installed but was wondering how / what files you need the INFO I have didnt explain much other than the PRC of the ZLoader and a Theme installed. Is there folder you make / place on your SD card - eg: sounds - pic - backgrounds - icons ?

As long as the .prc name is the same, it will install the most recent one you installed (as in which version u last installed, not necessarily the newest)

Yes, the same SN will still work as long as the HSID remains the same

@LD (sorry it took so long to respond to you I was out of town)

In the tungsten-t series there is access but lifedrives will not allow you to edit their permanent ROM (the area it reads from when you perform a secure reset to self-install the programs palm sends with the LD). The only way to do it is with the update. It is not too hard really and if you just make an image of your CF that they send you from usedpdaparts.com if you mess it up, just reflash it with the correct image. (you may need an IDE to CF adapter in order to re-write the CF with the LD image or some similar adapter as some users have not had success re-writing with the USB ones. I used USB though with success.).

My advice to you is maybe befriend someone who has some experience troubleshooting the update file if something was edited wrong or find someone with an already hacked file (sorry my cd apparently ran away). I happened to have it work for me first try so I really didn't have to go and fix things or start all over and I don't have much experience with this or I'd try to help you by myself. If all else fails and you really cannot get it back the way you bought it, you can always call the company and tell them the image on the CF didn't work and they will probably re-flash it for you.

Easy overclocking would be to demo dmitrygr's programs either dynaclock or warpspeed from palmpowerups.com. Please see if your device is listed in the compatible palm list. Keep in mind if you overclock you will experience a screen whine (whinehack may help, it didn't for me but worked for LD I think) and your unit may get hotter than the manufacturer intended, possibly damaging it. Please always read up on any material you can find about overclocking palms before attempting to do it.

If you need any help with software, this is the forum to be in and there are lots of people available to help. :) Good Luck.

Are you just trying to access it using photo booth? If you have and that doesn't fix it....check your activity monitor and "kill" any program that will use it, then try. And last but not least if all else fails boot up in safe mode and access the camera it should work. Also you can run disk utility and check then fix disk permissions. I know at work we get mac's all the time and after I install software or even install an image, the disk permissions are jacked up and the only TRUE way to fix the permissions and verifiy the HD is through the install cd....if you need help let me know....I do this at work all day so its pretty easy.

that's the problem that occurs if you assign the changed HSID to the app and not the other IMP components of the app




like along with the app there would be some libraries involved


if you don't change their name, probably it wouldn't work for you

yes they did have write cycles

but you know... now with advanced technologies.. they no longer do

so if you get a latest one.. it shouldn't die (that is not for around 50- 100 year... i don't know after that... i'd probably buy the latest palm then :p )

Hey guys I found something that seems very very promising.....for those who seen this at ******** mybad for the repeat but for those who can't or haven't check it out

Apt

Apt is not the Debian-linux package manager, it is an application for handheld devices running PalmOS 5.0+, such as the Palm Tx, Z22, Tungsten E2 and all Treos.

Apt replaces much or all of the functionality of: button launchers, profile managers, screen configuration utilities, button launchers, (McPhling, Multilauncher etc), general utilities (Autooff, Energy Dimmer, AppLock, myKbd macros, Event Launcher, HandyAid, InsertSD etc) and many more, as well as having loads of other amazing features never before seen on Palm OS.

All of that sits in a 36k resident program

SOMETHINGS THIS CAN DO:
set IR always off except in apps where you need to beam
have on-screen graffiti only where you need it (it can get in the way other places)
turn off those annoying system sounds, except for in your speaking dictionary app
keep prying eyes away from particular apps, but access them quickly yourself
have different colour themes for different apps
change your hotsync name and keep using those apps registered with the old name
calls up your most-used apps and functions extremely quickly
different macros for differet programs
launch apps extremely quickly by letter. Just start writing whenever a field does not have focus (see 'list menu' above).
enable all apps that require it after a soft reset
dim brightness slowly down in some apps to save energy when you're not using them. As soon as you tap, restore brightness to normal.
scroll with pen strokes either in a fixed position or anywhere on the screen
use your 5-way navigator with older games that only read hard keys usually.
disable buttons when you don't want your palm accidentally turned on
make a little diagonal stroke in the corner of the screen to rotate it
call up different applications depending which SD card you insert
setup a 'loop' of applications: use the same button to cycle through the applications in the loop.
clear a fields text with a single swipe through the middle
have a star menu with your most used apps always on the 5-way navigator and the most recent apps handy below
turn on onscreen graffiti when command bar comes up, turn off when it's gone

Most of the triggers above can be used to perform most combinations of the following actions:
Launch: application, DA, panel, last application, application-by-letter (enter 'co' for apps starting with 'co'), recent x applications, four different lists of favourite applications
Show time, date

Well there was the a thread about that at sprintusers and treocentral. But it was about defragmenting a SD CARD. From what I know flash drives have a read/write LIFETIMER you can delete and add files so many times before the card will fail and you will be outta luck unless you have some software on your computer to extract the DATA off them. I don't know the exact number of times you can use it before it dies...every card/flash drive is different. I'll try to look around for some more info and what to do if it dies. All though I do know if its Kingston it has a life time warranty and if it fails with files on it...contact them and they will have you send it in, extract the data and put it on a new flash drive for you.

Ok, I just got Softick Audio Gateway code to work...

Method:
1. Uninstalled old install with clean uninstall.
2. Changed the HSID of the install file after dropping it on my SD card.
3. Installed Softick Audio Gateway to RAM
4. Used the Registration Code:32PV-XJAL-T4VS-4JWP

BAM!!!!

It accepted the code.
I must thank lifedrive-n for the insight on my dilimma.
Now I just need to get it overclocked!!!!

I have a 4 GB Mini SDHC for one of my back-up cards on my Treo and it works great...... At first it was SUPER slow but I re-formated it and now its great, its fast and the Treo doesn't "lose" it like many other devices do with cards.

Easy overclocking would be to demo dmitrygr's programs either dynaclock or warpspeed from palmpowerups.com. Please see if your device is listed in the compatible palm list. Keep in mind if you overclock you will experience a screen whine (whinehack may help, it didn't for me but worked for LD I think) and your unit may get hotter than the manufacturer intended, possibly damaging it. Please always read up on any material you can find about overclocking palms before attempting to do it.

If you need any help with software, this is the forum to be in and there are lots of people available to help. :) Good Luck.


dynaclock will never overclock even if you need it for progs like LJP and NesEM


warpspeed will overclock and it will do it amazingly

wll just got to tell you that whinehack will not usually work if you overclock







you see.... LDs have a screenwhine even if you don't overclock

and if you use whinehack at the native speed then if works

else it doesn't

@LD (sorry it took so long to respond to you I was out of town)

In the tungsten-t series there is access but lifedrives will not allow you to edit their permanent ROM (the area it reads from when you perform a secure reset to self-install the programs palm sends with the LD). The only way to do it is with the update. It is not too hard really and if you just make an image of your CF that they send you from usedpdaparts.com if you mess it up, just reflash it with the correct image. (you may need an IDE to CF adapter in order to re-write the CF with the LD image or some similar adapter as some users have not had success re-writing with the USB ones. I used USB though with success.).

My advice to you is maybe befriend someone who has some experience troubleshooting the update file if something was edited wrong or find someone with an already hacked file (sorry my cd apparently ran away). I happened to have it work for me first try so I really didn't have to go and fix things or start all over and I don't have much experience with this or I'd try to help you by myself. If all else fails and you really cannot get it back the way you bought it, you can always call the company and tell them the image on the CF didn't work and they will probably re-flash it for you.
