What's up guys?

All I can say is you all are the best -- as others have mentioned. I just got on this past week and kingtyce has been hooking me up with great stuff (from snapper mail to cracks for numerous games and apps).

This may sound stupid, but I tried to search the attachments for a crack to the Voice Control app (comes on my phone when i got it from Sprint) and cannot find it on here. I see VoiceDial but don't have that and rather use what i have (for memory sake on my phone). Any chance anyone can help with that?

Another one I cannot seem to get working is the MobiTV either. I tried to download the other attachments in here and neither worked, and then this one MobiTV.patched_file_2.zip (http://www.gsmhosting.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=133862&d=1197263273) i could not open (i think that may be the right one but i cannot download it on my MAC as it says this is not compressed right).

Any help? That would be awesome guys -- I cannot say thank you enough.

A free way to watch cable TV.....ORB, orb.com The only draw back is you have to have a tuner card but they are super cheap ($15). And you have to get a splitter and hook up your cable to the computer....its very easy and if you already have a tuner card on your computer, orb is free.

Sad to say but you can't delete any app in your ROM. I too have a 755p and its a dam shame we can't do that yet if ever! What you can do is install the app called APLICATION PANEL. I believe its here if you search. It works GR8 on the 755p, even if your device resets it stays on it only dissappears if you hard reset or if you just delete the app. If its not here I will post it when I get to my pc. Hope this helps.

Yea..I tried clean uninstall and Uninstall (thanks for the links) and I cannot delete Voice Memo or Bejeweled off my phone because they say they are ROM files.

I think MikeJones is on to something -- I rather just keep it on than hide it. I am OCD (as mentioned in the posts) in that I would want it completely deleted, but looks like I am SOL :(

Install first a Uninstall app, like Uninstall Manager or Destaller. Then reset your palm with the 5-nav pressed up this way you will boot up palm in safe mode. Now use one of the uninstall apps and your done.

In any case that in normal palm bootup you can't delete a app, boot in safe mode because this way no app or switch is keep the app from being deleted.

Update: Just saw MikeJones tip, his right if the app in in ROM, just cooked rom will fix that. But if is a app in RAM your in luck.

If you are using Zlauncher, you can create a new tab, put all the apps that bother you that are in ROM and just hide the tab (tab properties) and then turn on "hide hidden tabs" in the tab menu.

a Palm OS 5 preference panel, which means you will not find it in the application launcher but in the "Preferences" screen. When you launch the preferences application you will see "Applications" under the "Personal" section. By default each application in RAM is selected (circle to the left of name) and therefore selectable from the Palm Launcher applications. If you want to hide an application, then you find it in the list (you can type a letter of the app to jump to that letter in the list) and tap the name to remove the circle from the left.

well i went through them and archive and install didn't work so i had to go through erase and install. they asked me to bring over my mac and they would back up the data but then i'd have to pay for that despite me owning the three year APPLE CARE.

I don't work for apple (but I have been thinking about getting a job at the Genius Bar in the Apple stores :)) I just know the tricks for apple since I have been working with these computers for the last 4 yrs....... On a quick note after you get your MB running I suggest you make an Image of your MAC HD on an external HD. That way its just like NVBackup but for your laptop. So if you have any future problems you can Hard Reset :) (format HD) and quickly reinstall everything using a Firewire Drive. To reinstall it will take only 15-20 min....which is WAY better than having to reinstall off the CD (up to 1 hr). Also when you install everything on the HD you can do a custome install and you don't have to have ALL the Languages from around the world. That alone will save you 1.9 GB of memory!

I tried that, but unfortunately Bejeweled and Voice Memo are apps in my ROM (not RAM sadly), so looks like i will just keep them as it seems like cooking ROM would be difficult.

And I don't use ZLauncher..I was recommended MegaLauncher (THANKS) as I LOVE IT and it's easy and great to use. I rather not hide apps, but delete them so i'll just keep them on in spite of it being an eye sore for me.

If anyone has recommendations for cool voice control or gps programs, please do let me know.

I got Microsoft Office 2008 (Version 12.0.1). It's the standard edition (not home & student one). It's pretty nice. I only had to do one update to it real quick after I installed -- a patch that took maybe 3 minutes to install. So not bad at all.

I can get you a serial number for it, but not sure how to get the file to you because my bro downloaded it and he just file transfers things to me via ichat. I don't know how to upload it to the rapidshare.com sites or any of that, but am willing to learn if necessary.

Let me know what's up and I will hook it up for you if you want (nor a hassle for you).

Don't know what type of Centro you got (CDMA or GSM) so here is MobiTV 1.07 Patched

Run the installer from the MobiTV site

Download and install from here http://www.mobitv.com/getmobitv/

After it downloads flick through some channels

Then download and install the Patched version found here. BUT YOU MUST RUN THE "TRIAL" FIRST then install the pacthed version ON TOP of the TRIAL.

I'm looking for some help... I have a Sprint 700p and I'm trying to get MobiTV up and running. I downloaded the trial. It asked for an email and password to set up an account. Am I supposed to do that? I hit cancel and then went to the channels page. They were all greyed out except the MobiTV channel. I tried to watch the other channels first like you said, then installed the patch. After I installed the patch, nothing changed. Yes use your treo to download it. When you download it, it comes in a NUTSHELL installer. Just hit the Install MobiTV icon and it will install. Then when the reg screen pops up with email stuff. Hit cancel there, then exit MobiTV and install the patch on top of that...when you copy it. Your phone will say that it already installed and do you want to over write. Say yes to overwrite the unregistered version of Mobitv with the reged version

3. Unzip and install the unlocker

:D Good glad it works...... I have that same problem cuz of the patch. Just leave the preferences alone in MobiTV and your good to go... if your looking for smooth streaming and a nice picture I would suggest sling box and sling player or orb just because it streams YOUR cable channels and not coming from an overloaded server.

Yea..Kingtyce hooked me up with Sling Player but i realized I would have to buy Sling Box.

Sling box :eek: no....sorry. I'm cheap so I went with orb since its free. You can setup the upload speed on your pc and its smooth as can be. Actually with orb its only 1-2 sec behind your actual cable. I tested it standing next to my tv watching the same channel. Check it out www.orb.com As far as the Sprint TV........what can I say......ummmm, it SUX bad. The See channels you get with the data pack are ok like..quick peel hard boiled egg and stuff like that but the sprint tv xtra links are horrible. They are not setup to watch on the treo's, its just a generic setup for all sprint tv enabled phones. Its choppy and audio doesn't line up with the video. Thats why I like orb you can set the kbs so its not choppy and you don't have to buffer, just connect and your watching. :D

PocketTunes Deluxe....just update to 4.0.6 and on the reg screen put in 3AA79-7UW6S give that a try it registered mine last week with a new HSID....ENJOY

Probably wrong thread, but lots of intelligent people here. Having major problems with Audio Gateway. Whenever I enable it and then try to listen to pTunes or Coreplayer, all I get is a buzzing sound, high-pitched squeal or some sort other strange noise. However, if I run pTunes in the background before I run SAG, I am able to hear the music. Strange, right? Also, tried numerous versions or SAG (most recently 1.20) and all have same issue. Just started happening recently (3 days ago). With the strange noises, when I go to turn off SAG, I either get an error message of code = 5 or code = 4, depending on the version of SAG being used. Beyond frustrating. If anyone has any help, or can recommend any other software to listen through bluetooth stereo headphones on 700p, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Some devices don't work well with Audio Gateway.......I should know. I've been having alot of problems with the 700p and centro.........I did alot of research and found that the 700p has problems with stereo headphones. Hope this helps.

I could try to run Bootcamp or Parallels as I run Leopard-- my brother has both those and he has a macbook. I guess I just detest windows so adamantly (i understand this may be a paradox since I do us MS OFFICE, but we cannot win them all and that is money).

To tell you the truth...NOPE. I don't work for apple (but I have been thinking about getting a job at the Genius Bar in the Apple stores :)) I just know the tricks for apple since I have been working with these computers for the last 4 yrs....... On a quick note after you get your MB running I suggest you make an Image of your MAC HD on an external HD. That way its just like NVBackup but for your laptop. So if you have any future problems you can Hard Reset :) (format HD) and quickly reinstall everything using a Firewire Drive. To reinstall it will take only 15-20 min....which is WAY better than having to reinstall off the CD (up to 1 hr). Also when you install everything on the HD you can do a custome install and you don't have to have ALL the Languages from around the world. That alone will save you 1.9 GB of memory!

actually i am also planning on that one.
i am as of now considering some external HDDs





as for the langs, i already have saved 3.6 GB by deleting them with an app called monolingual (freeware)

Which MS Office 08 do you have....the home, student or the coperate edition? I have a co-worker that had to replace their HD and lost everything. I have found it at several different places....spookyigloo.net, projectw. But I want to find the LATEST version, I have only been able to get the First version of 08 and I really don't want to throw that on the Mac and then have to do all the updates from MS (each update takes up to 15 min). just got the news in a newsletter... no name yet... still experimental.

if your finger moves an inch then the whole finger recognition is wrecked and then you lose all your data as you are supposed to provide the same finger print (whether clear or blotted one)

it uses 256 bit encryption which makes the data really safe.

i don't run such things on my macbook either.

but i can surely tell you about dual and triple platforms.

first of all... if you don't have a copy of windows... then crossovers is for you.

it runs win as if it was mac... inside mac with mac frames.

next if you need to have proper win running on your macbook (many drivers don't work on crossovers... it should be only used if you need to run keygens), you should go in for VMWare fusion ( it needs a copy of windows) this is the best for playing games.

then you have parallels which is somewhat similar to fusion but it's like google and yahoo fight out there, fusion being google and parallels being yahoo.


go in for fusion.

if you want a proper win PC which will utilise all your processing power and ram(ideal setup for gaming) then you need to go with boot camp. it needs to be booted alone and not with mac, so only one platform at a time.


for normal exe files, go in for crossovers. lightweight and zippy.


whichever one you go in for, i'll provide you with the link. you can also try KCNSrews posted by mikejones who???? not me atleast :p

And when I delete things in my trash -- the emails re-pull them later on. It happened with Versamail all the time and annoyed me. I don't delete messages from the server as I have 3 email accounts pulling, but I would think once it pulled them that it would not pull again when i empty my trash on my treo. Even if i change the settings to pull only last 10 messages or whatever -- it will pull those again. I take it that's just the way it is, huh?

As far as I know...blackberry's don't have that problem, so i am hoping snappermail in the next update or something will be able to fix that.

If you have any advice -- I'm always all ears.

don't install this on your LD unless you have a CF


it takes 8.5 MB of space.
it drinks you battery as if it was a thirsty man from desert ( that's because, MD takes up a lot of battery too)
it runs slower than a bullock cart
hangs most of the times
even if it doesn't hang, it will surely give you 10-15 secs pauses every now and then due to the stupid MD




otherwise if you have a CF or any other palm, it should be o.k.

I have been trying different mails now for a minute. I just put SnapperMail on my phone, but I am trying to find the best thing to use.

If you say Lambic mail -- do tell. I want to know what is the best one to use. Right now I am about to try Apple Mail for my palm (maybe tomorrow now since i have to sleep) now that I set up my Mail App on my mac just now.

That also happened to me with versamail. Since I've been using the last version of chattermail (not cracked, uninstall and install it every 30 days) with IMAP protocol I have never saw this happen again with gmail account.

chattermails multitasking is great, you never see nothing happen and no slowdowns and it has some power battery features, wastes less battery.

There's no crack for Chattermail? I just downloaded it but have not installed it yet. So you would have to install/re-install it after the trial period? I KNOW someone on here has a crack ;)

I have been trying to find the right e-mail app the past week -- so I'm not quite happy as you can see. The alert page of SnapperMail is better than the Versamail bell alert (which i was using since i got my 755p), but the other features on SnapperMail are nice (other than checking e-mail). Here are two easy to read PDFs to help you out. The first one tells you how to use the ROMtool program and the second is a listing of all the files in the ROM, what they do, which are safe to remove and which are not. The following instructions are based off the Sprint ROM; if yours is another carrier, the file names may be slightly different (for example, SPCS designates Sprint).

1) Basically what you'll want to do is install the ROMtool app, put your Treo into bootloader mode, plug in your hotsync cable and run ROMtool. It will take a minute or two to load the proper data into your Treo. Keep watching the screen on your Treo and eventually an image will pop up with the ROMtool graphic. ROMtool will then say it's ready on your PC.

2) The FIRST thing you'll want to do is BACKUP YOUR EXISTING ROM! This is extremely important should you screw something up! DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP! This is done on the Download ROM tab. Save it as a ZIP + MD5. You may want to set the backup as read-only if you'd like to be extra careful.

3) Next, make a COPY of your backed up ROM into another folder. (If your ROM is in a ZIP, you may unzip it to a folder.)

4) Nagivate to the folder you unzipped your ROM files into and delete the following files if you'd like to remove these apps:

GetBC/Handago/Downloads:

LD man -- Trying to set up Apple Mail on my versamail 3.5.5 (or whatever). It's not working.

I tried chattermail today -- the only thing i did not like was that all the emails would not come to one folder (nor did versamail, but snappermail did) but i could not even press the email icon to cycle through my 3 email accounts.

Hmm...e-mail is the last thing I need to get working. Makes me thing i should have stopped playing around with it and just be happy i can send and receive emails

I am going to stop posting -- I think I am posting way too much. SORRY.

But wanted to let you all know that i am not going to use chattermail b/c when you do that method of registration (oldserver+2 spaces+hotsync id+%) and try to upgrade the chattermail (or even without trying that), it crashes and cycles off. But then the worst part is on the re-start ChatterEmail is not even on the phone (you have to re-install it and I've done this 3 times now). So just a warning -- maybe a bug I wanted you all to know about the newest verstion of chatteremail.

I'll let you all be now..i have said too much. I may try iambic (agendus mail) as someone else had suggested, or I may just give it a rest and go back to versamail.

All good. I am just focusing on e-mail. Running out of space on my palm and I don't really need the web like that.

Just trying to see if I like Agendus on this trial version -- snapper mail would have been nice if it would pull mail in the background (although agendus looks the nicest and would be nice if I can hit the Email button on my treo and cycle through the accounts at least since they don't come to one general folder like snapper mail). send a cool looking mail from apple mail using the stationary and try to receive it with treo. you will never manage to get it right. the images will never show even if you use the HTML view in iambic mail which uses blazer.

sry wajid. no other way. give your device ID and that's not your HSID. your device id will not change even if you change your HSID.

you will find it in the about or register dialog box in any of the iambic apps.

like mine is OHYIF

Like I said before, I use a non registered version, just don't register it. After 30 days just uninstall and install again, the setup wizard is very fast, you get it running in no time. When the crack comes around well use it.

But anyway if want to use versamail, the version that comes with centro is the best. I don't know if 755p comes with that version. It has better background functions.

It keeps resetting, I can do a soft reset and get it working, but I cant manage to uninstall or delete any of the files in the ram. I installed cleanuninstaller (put it in the sd card because I really cant install anything in the ram, it resets and doesnt show the cleanuninstall icon) but when I try to uninstall the mobilext file it resets, and starts the cycle over again.

Yes it does work. I installed it on a 700p and it works perfectly. make sure you go through the steps in order.

Try doing a warm reset and uninstall it from there. warm reset is holding up on your device and doing a soft reset and the same time. make sure to keep holding up until your device restarts fully. then let go. then you should be able to uninstall whatever you want.

@MIKEJONES, I tried it once way back but at the time I felt the app was to big and heavy. I only want the sms block. I have a Treo six fifty and I do have alot of apps on it but there all on my 4gb card and this app needs to be in memory to work in the background. i'm a bit new to this all - i got a treo 680 last week it came with tt6 and gps so i copied the tt card to a bigger 2gb sd card i bought but now the tt6 is much slower than from the original card what is the reason? Assuming you have an SDHC card reader, I would format from a command prompt:

Yea..I just requested Ultimate Phone about a week ago. It's pretty cool -- big fan of it.

You'll enjoy it as well. The battery does seem to die on my phone now that I am using Ultimate Phone and MegaLauncher as my launcher, but it's well-worth it.

May have to get an extended battery, but I hate buying things (ha):)

For all of those that need Lightwav.....The current downloads from toysoft are jacked up. They do not contain the reg routine so here is a way to reg it.

okay, i 8may8 have found a solution. i installed a cracker version of lightwav 2.3 then installed 2.8 over it. it *seems* to have worked. i've uploaded the cracked 2.3 version and here are step by step instructions how i did it.

1.) Hotsync cracked 2.3 to phone (not SD card)
2.) Rename 2.8 lightwave to "LightWav.cracked.prc" (same as 2.3 ver)
3.)Disabled Lightwav and lauch after reset
4.) Hotsync renamed 2.8 to phone
5.) See if it worked

OR you can do this

Yes it does work. I installed it on a 700p and it works perfectly. make sure you go through the steps in order.

Try doing a warm reset and uninstall it from there. warm reset is holding up on your device and doing a soft reset and the same time. make sure to keep holding up until your device restarts fully. then let go. then you should be able to uninstall whatever you want.


I tried that and it doesnt let me uninstall it or delete it.
any other ideas?

Try usind OpenDNS's dns server. It works for me and lots of Windows Mobile guy sware to it. Its not a app its a DNS configurations.

I don't know if its your case but there is a known bug on card mounting. I have this prob with a new 4gb card I bought which is much faster than my last 4gb card but I this bug. In my case its mostly on boot. I had to take out and insert again card so PALM would have it mounted.

Install CardKeeper (freeware: http://mytreo.net/downloads/cardkeeper,75.html), it ******* your card mount and if it detects that it losed it, it tries to mount again. l also suggest BlkCardApp (also freeware: http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/System-Utilities/Enhancements/BlockCardApp-60576.shtml), this app helps the screen not change to card screen when cardkeeper auto mounts. Good Combo. Give it a try, its safe.

Sorry LD, but I think the Centro comes with the Fat32 drivers, its in ROM (only 650, 700p didn't come if I'm not mistaken). But I do agree on formating it with fat32, check out the last threads on formating cards.

My launcher, is iphone style, just the fav first screen orderby most used apps, have to press 5-nav to check out other tabs: today screen, web, games, unfiled (testing out apps), phone. The rest is hidden: main, system, DAs, ALL, Benchmark. And my phone app is like a Treo 750 HTC Touch like Windows Mobile 6 Black theme. All on a Treo Six Fifty cooked rom with 4Gb card with 507 Mhz pumped up on some apps.

You can only block sms per user inserted by hand, what a pain. Its this feature I want because I have 80 numbers in spam category/group which I don't want to get sms from.

I like call filter too, it gets the job done well...
There are only few problems that I have with it on my 755 that I didn't with my 650
for example:

I have a category that is marked private, and it intercepts all my private contacts when callfilter is activated...
I put the option of getting a text from a private contact, so that it will lock my phone a text is received.
When I enter my password to unlock it, resets my phone.

another issues is... when someone leaves me a voice mail and you have it to notify you with a blinking LED light... The light will blink, but once you listen to the message the light stays blinking and you have to reset the blinking light manually. On the 650; as soon as you listened to your voice mail it would stop the LED from blinking.

And lastly, Most important; When you have call filter enabled; if you have your private numbers to get sent to voice mail, and you are already on a phone call... the call waiting shows your incoming private contact (this only happens when you are already on a call)

I'm pretty sure that these things only unconvinced me; but they are a real problem because this app is one of my most used ...and also my most crucial app.

Your getting things confused. The program has it's own made up device id not your device id. that's why it was only 5 letters. Now if the program asked for your serial number then you will find it as Mikey stated.

Here is PDAbs for palm os with keygen. Install and run keygen. then try to register with any letter/number and you will see your reg code. you do not need to write it down because it will register the app for you. Now install the orignal prc over the keygen and your good to go.

yesterday i found that i didn't have the fat32 driver in my RAM and so i simply copied it from ROM to RAM using Resco explorer


i got a loop reset which wouldn't even stop with warm reset.

my data is back (as always, i had backup) and the LF is up and running.

Don't remember who put the Taktik game (http://www.kickoo.com/?page=taktik/index) here a while ago, put when I played it I was hooked but fast after I started to always win. The games AI is so stupid. Anyway it plays like a chess/checkers games but with some twists and nice graphics. Does anyone know of any chess game that is also great a fun to look at. I remember years ago Battle Chess for Dos and Amiga was very cool. There was a guy that was doing a DOS emulator for palm but I don't know if he finished it, I was hoping to put Battle chess which is free for Dos on that emulator.

Is there any fun looking chess or even checkers games out there or there all dull?
