will 16 gb sdhc card works on my custom fat32 modified rom in my treo 650..i m using 8 gb now and its working like a charm but i was wondering if 16 gb sdhc will work or not ..if anyone have tried it and if it works then i am planning to buy a 16 gb sdhc card ..can any1 suggest me on this if it works on treo 650 or not???thanks in advance






Your 8 gig card should be sdhc. As long as your custom rom supports sdhc you should be ok.

I tried installing the slingplayer patched version on my Centro, but received a reinstall message. Anyone else have problems with the slingplayer found in the attachments section?

I honestly believe this forum is the best place to obtain the newest apps for the Palm OS. Thank you everyone for your time and effort.


I've also had this happen. Best solution is to download slingplayer installer from sling site, install, then copy patched version from your card to phone (replaces installed with patched version). Good luck.

Hopefully someone can help me. Here is a link to RealDice Texas Hold'em v1.1. I Know this is an older version but unlike the newer versions, this one allows 2 players to play via blutooth. I've downloaded and played the most recent RealDice Hold'em but I miss the bluetooth play. I had a keygen for this but now Norton says its a trojan virus. I'm hoping someone can patch or perhaps create another keygen. Many thanks in advance.

Just wanted to say I was not offended and no I have not tested it out myself. but just like you I"ve heard that you can use any sdhc card with sdio. Maybe on the other forum the person stated that it can only support up to 8 gigs at that point in time. remember 16 & 32 gig sd cards are just now available. sorry for the misunderstanding.

Yes its an unlock GSM ROM with blazer 4.3.2.1 and it also have CKOS n real player have been removed n instead of it i have put TCPMP will all the plugin and a patch audiogateway 1.6 version n it also have a preregistered RescoExplorer,splashID,Bdicty,voicememo,notepad,fi leZ,filepc2pda,ledoff,uninstall manager,x-master,clockPop5,watchM,keyshade hack(by which u can turn on or off the keyboard light anytime with the side button)...i put all this coz my ROM size is big since its a Asia Pacific Rim(APR) ROM...n yes i can give you if you want it but i need to know what is the size of your ROM ..coz if it is smaller than 8.9 mb then it will b of no use since it wont fit ...APR has the largest ROM so my DBcache size decrease to around 21 mb ...n i also have the Smallest ROM too i.e. Sprint ROM but it doesn't contain the above apps though ..but with this Sprint ROM your DBcache will increase to 24 MB n to do it we have to resize the ROM with SD card method ...if you are interested then i will upload it..n 1 more thing ROM tool is not at all risky to use ..its fun to play around :D

Without it, it is impossible to load any custom ROM, and with it, you may as well create your own personal ROM that you can update as many times as you want when new or upgraded software comes out.

Believe me, it is way more satisfying that way, and it would be yours.

The drivers listed here for the FAT32 and SDHC upgrade work just fine, but do not attempt to load anything other than the ones listed from the mytreo site 6 or 7 posts below this.
If you wade through all the relevant stuff regarding customising you ROM then you cannot go wrong, but a little time needs to be spent leaning first.;)

well without the ROM tool there is another way to load any custom ROM ..using Shadowmite rom modifier and using the SD card upgrade method and it is the only way to resize your whole treo Memory system ..i mean if you want your ROM to b small so that you can increase your DBcache..treo 650 have total 32MB memory out of which the biggest ROM i.e APR ROM occupy around ~9 MB so its DBcache is smaller..Sprint have the smallest ROM there fore its DBcache is bigger ...no matter how much apps you remove 4rm ur ROM its DBcache size wont increase until you resize your Whole memory System with SD card update method and 1 more thing it doesnt matter wat ROM you use (APR,Sprint,etc...)as long as if your custom ROM fits the Given ROM size of ur Treo..and you can put any apps in your ROM which doesnt extend itself wen you open the software ..like you cannot put Volume care in ROM bcoz it extend its size next to available memory when we activated it but ROM memory cannot b utilize as it is read only memory so your treo will keep on resetting and wont b able to boot up at all

thx Chucky and codpeice, I have a Treo 650 ENA (I guess its the GSM unlock European or International version). I know my DBcache is low but I have it so tweaked that it is very stable with old 11 Mb dbcache. I did put a custom rom 2 years ago through a SD card. I also doesn't have realplayer, has only two languages, blazer 4.3, fat32, camcorder. I guess have to learn to use the rom tool. I once tried it but things didn't look they were going well. I do have 300 apps installed on my treo but of course mostly are on my 4gb card. I have only 6.7 Mb free.

Oh by the way today I did some experimenting, I use Chatermail so I moved the Versamails file to my card to see if my Palm would be stable and yes for now everything is ok and I got 500 kb free. I moved all the mm*.* files (the mmidcache came back again but there small), iidatalib.prc, midataidcache.prc. I did have to safe boot to move some files. 4 of them were being started on boot. The other day I had moved the addressdb.pdb, tododb.pdb, datebookdp.pdb and I didn't lose no data and freed up memory because Palm created them again but smaller, got another 500 kb. I guess these last files were from updates from my old palms (i never hard reseted since my Palm IIIx, IIIc, TT, and now Treo), they were all updated from each other. Just wanted to share this, maybe it maybe usefull. Oh by the way there is a file from zlauncher that grows alot and can be deleted, mine was at 3mb of space a will back. Its the zl_cardProgramLauncedDB, this thing can grow.

Mr.Pratik i learn 4rm ur reset loop thread that you have a xcingular tro650 so that means the ROM i have posted above won't fit in your ROM therefore u will have to stripe off some applications like TCPMP n its plugins..or the Splash ID..or else i can give you another modified ROM for Xcingular by which u can unbrand your Xcingular to ENA n it will also remove the useless apps by Xcingular..
but it has english language only..and its a sd card method which will resize your ROM too so u will have around 24 MB user memory..reply me if u want it
n also ur reset loop can b fixed with Grack ROM tool..as soon as it start to reset hold ur hotsync button n reset it again manually during the self reset loop so that the Bootloader can stop ur palm OS to boot and u can replace ur ROM with another Uncorrupted ROM..but u have to know how to use the ROMtool(grack ROM tool)...reply back if u have any problem:)

i got the game registered and it will play now...but...i can't exit it - no matter what i try to do. the only way to exit is to sync it, then the game will stop-but if you start it again there is no escape!! Does it need downloaded again or what

I recently installed Crazy Alarms 2.2 and attempted to use the Toysoft Keygen provided in the forum. My hotsync name appears in the space behine the term: HSID. I select Crazy Alarm from the drop down menu and hit "Generate" and it provides me with a HSID Serial and HSSN Serial. My problem is when I type in the number generated it doesn'T register Crazy Alarms!

Should I be typing in something different? Should I be typing in something in the space behind HSSN? If so... what?

Question... how do I generate a working registration code for Crazy Alarms 2.2?

On the centro,use your volume up key on the side.This will not be your exit key but after you press it,press your phone icon key and you will exit the game.(Took me a while to figure that out also!)Hope it helps.

What additional software is recomended for the Centro? We just got them a week ago and haven't downloaded anything but Pac Man for the kids. I'm sure what the kids need will be different than what we need. The kids use theirs mainly for typical kids stuff...texting, games, music, etc. and we just want to get the most out of them! I used to use CallFilter and it worked well for a while and then stopped. The ignore feature stopped working -- I would get an error msg in the log saying "Ignore button not found". I tried formatting the Treo (650) and reinstalled -- again it worked for a while and then the same msg. I tried removing and reinstalling -- didn't work. The other programs I have are documents to go and datebook 6.
I've tried CallShield -- that works fine but doesn't allow me to use the bluetooth headset button to answer -- I have to use the phone answer button.
I now use Calllock and this works well for me, though the features are limited compared to CallFilter.

Do a search for Mp3 Sound Cutter.Don't remember who uploaded it but it works great.You can customize all of your ringtones on the centro with it.You will also need ringo pro(works best and easiest for this).Again,just search the posts for it,that's how I found it.I no longer use any of my centro's original ringtones for calls,sms alerts or anything else.Hope this helps.After you get these programs, if you need help using them,just let me know.The first time is kinda time consuming if you don't know what you are doing,after that,it's a breeze.

So far when i pull up the preferences for my various email accounts the only options i'm allowed to choose from are MIDI (crappy soundy alerts that sound like they were played on your little brother's Casio keyboard)

i think both aren't solve yet. try using mundu IM but pls follow the instructions . if you have previous installation of mundu im pls make sure you delete it and there's no footprint or whatsoever.

first install mundu_im_4.1_11364_patched.prc
second install mundu_im_4.1_11364_orig.prc, it will still say its a trial version but it will not have an end date. It will not however connect with yahoo and it will say " cannot connect to servers"

do not delete anything from here on.

third install munduim_for_palm_4.1.0.prc, it will still say its a trial version but it will not have an end date, it will connect and log you in to yahoo messenger.

you will have the latest version 11628 not the 11364

I don't have that feature, mine version I'm noticing now is 1.3. But I remember putting 1.3.1 beta but I do remember a year back callfilter wasn't stable. Maybe I by accident installed 1.3 and its more stable. I don't really know, but I know that I don't have the lock feature. I don't really need it.

Why don't you try to change your keyguard, if your using palm default try butler or keyguardExt and see if things get better. Or if your already using one of theses try using the default or a new keyguard. By the way do you have callfilter locked with resco locker? I notice that it gets very stable with this setup.

picturesms will loop reset treo650 but its a nice app. smsmachine by suntzu is a good app 2. with sms machine you can block and autoreply to any text or call. but you can't find any crack or keygen for suntzu series since he is respected in any forum because he has been helpful in this community.

I saw in the applications you have posted a garmin and tom tom torrent for the phone. When I downloaded the Tom Tom it downloads as a Iso. I burned it onto a dvd so it would play. I dont know why I burned it, but I did. I Dont know how to put it onto the phone and get it to work.

If its for taking fotos with your camera, theres PhotosHQ, you can search the thread for it, then goto the PhotosHQ site and download the latest version and just install over it. If the object is moving you can use Teksphotos (freeware) which takes a number of fotos and then just pick the best one. You can also do this with Live! it films and you can make each frame a foto. This is very good for moving objects.

If it for viewing, Resco Viewer (who can find it here too) is fast but Palm Media view is slow but better quality. I guess its slow because it most be optimizing each foto. Resco is way faster but quality is not being fix, this said doesn't mine its not good, I use it. The quality fix that palm Media view does its not very importante, you notice it more when you zoom. For the rest Resco is way better.

Oh by the way I overclock PhotosHQ and Resco Viewer. PhotosHQ is very slow when it takes two photos on one snap.

Call me old fashioned ;) but I have used this for a while now and it syncs beautifully with Ultrasoft Money, so I would hate to break a good relationship.

If there is any way that a newer version would work flawlessly and connect to UK Banks in the same way that 2005 does, then I am prepared to update, but it has got to work as well as 2005.

The only way I know how to do this on Sprint (which I have as well) is to dial *70 and then the number like *70772-221-3456 (just some numbers I made up, I don't know if this is a REAL number) that way it will only disable call waiting on the call you PLACE. I don't think there is a way to just "Enable and Disable" call waiting like an app. It would be cool if someone could come up with it though. This only works for outgoing calls not incoming. If it is someone in your contacts just add the *70 to it and if its not someone in your contacts, when that person calls tell them you will call them right back with that *70 in front of THEIR number. I hope this helps a little.....

Unfortunately I'll have to wait until i get home to try what you've suggested because I have no way of installing the prc. file from work without hotsyncing it via my computer at home!

That leads to my next question! Is there a way for me to install a software application (prc. file) on my device (Sprint Centro) without having to hotsync it via my personal computer at home and be able to load and access it?

I'm aware that some software applications offer the ability to use SMS or email to send the software to the device but for those that don't... well I'm lost!

Does anyone know of a site on the web that can be used to send the .prc file to my device via email or SMS so that I can install it and be able to access it?

If anyone can provide any suggestions I'm all ears!

I use to use versa mail but everytime it went to get my mail from gmail accopunt it receive one mail then error press again to get mail receive another error
i stop using that and now use chattermail works great. there are setting like not to delete mail from server and i stay offline until i want to fetch my mail.

so yes i would recommend chattermail but it take time to get use to with all the settings..

It will retrieve Yahoo, Hotmail, gmail and SprintPCS mail and more (any POP or IMAP email client). It is MUCH better than Versamail. Just remember...the sprint email app is full of bugs. Sprint themselves did not make that app. It is a known fact that sprint email WILL drain your battery very FAST. You would be better to use chatter (which has direct push technology) or snappermail. Personally I like chatter its very easy to learn. Good luck!!!!

Mybad use the dial pad to do it, like your gonna call someone. just put the codes in and the menu's should pop up. By the way SPRINT uses ## I believe verizon uses *#. Check with your service provider on what the first 2 symbols are. And enter the codes.

to get your regcode try this:

Chattermail v3.0.6.1 -- NO SERIAL or KEYGEN REQUIRED!!

Just go to Pref -> Console

Type "oldserver" + 2 spaces + your hotsync ID + % (percentage sign)
And it will generate the code for you without installing a keygen



then uninstall version 3.0.6.1 and install the latest version and enter the serial generated. attached is version 3.0.6.1. pls download the latest version.

Anyone know how to exit these games? Haven't figured out how to get out of the game without removing battery on my centro and/or calling my number so that the phone rings. To exit push the white button next to the letter Z then the home button. Hope that helps.:)

It updates through the phone... no hotsync is required.
If you have an internet plan on your phone your fine.
(Ex. Sprint Power Vision). You can set it to automatically update
weather.

RingoPro has some incompatibility issues with some of the newer devices..... You can try out Lightwav pro or Ringcare. Both are in this thread. Do a Search. If you have in problems feel free to ask for help.

I had that same problem. It only happens with the patched version.....

Just remember...the sprint email app is full of bugs. Sprint themselves did not make that app. It is a known fact that sprint email WILL drain your battery very FAST. You would be better to use chatter (which has direct push technology) or snappermail. Personally I like chatter its very easy to learn. Good luck!!!!

I have used Sprint Mobile Email since it was put out, and it is awesome.
For the record, I have never had it crash. It DOES have the push feature, supports multiple accounts, and as far as I am concerned the fact that sprint didn't write it is a positive, not a negative (It's produced by seven, the first developer of pushed based mobile email). Go to menu/settings, and change your schedule options if you are worried about the battery. This program even let's me email .exe files from my google account! And when I had a question about the program (didn't know how to turn off the vibrate on mail recieved), the developers answered my emails quickly and courteously, and asked if I had any suggestions for future realeases. In short, SME rocks!

I had that same problem. It only happens with the patched version.....
Here is another version along with keygen and instructions. You should be OK with this one. MAKE SURE TO READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU INSTALL

Thanks king i just downloaded Ringcare

i have a centro and i'm having the hardest time getting any of my mp3's to show up in my email alert list

When i go to email accounts i go into preferences and then pick on alert and i get a drop down box full of MIDI tones but no mp3's


Am i doing something wrong?

I like Ringcare but is there any program that will allow mp3 to be selected as email alerts for the centro
