Register with any serial and you'll see a popup with a word xxx- Write it down and click ok. You'll see a second popup with a serial yyy. Write it down. Install a clean app and register with xxx-yyy (don't forget the minus!). If the popup with the word doesn't appear, register only with the serial.

I think eon's files are newer..... and only the Nexus prc goes to the ram of your device.... the Standard and Dex database (db) files goes on the memory card.....Put them in the Palm/launcher folder.....

It is the persuit of Nexus that led me to this great forum and I have enjoyed myself ever since, thanks to all the gurus around (tempted not to mention names since I may accidentally leave some out as Gutta did)

For want of space I experimented putting the Nexus.prc file on the memory card (treo650 & 600) and it worked. It works even if I put the Card info a friend's treo. The only difference is that the 21 days registration starts anew in the new phone. Thanks to all of this great and L.O.V.E.L.Y forum

Hey Rogue, thanks a lot for the quick response! It still won't work for me. I installed it and ran the patch file and it said it fixed it. But when I run the program it still says that it's an unregistered version and won't let me restore more than 50 messages. Am I doing something wrong?

That should have taken care of the reg. Double check that you followed these steps (which I forgot to include earlier...sorry :(). I'm thinking the last step was missed.

How to use the patch:
- Extract the file TreoDesktop.7patcher.exe to the application directory after installing TreoDesktop.
- Run TreoDesktop.7patcher.exe and select "Apply patch".
- Register with any number (go to Settings|User configuration)

Well I tried those codes this morning, and they didnt work. :( I have tried every thing I can think of to get these 2 progs to work. I dont know if I am doing something wrong or not.

Gotta question though, why were those key gens 2 files, I have always just used the one keygen and it tells you the working code then shuts down. Ya then uninstall it and install the trial and put in the codes the key gen generated. I dont have no prob with those types of key gens, but the ones with 2 files, that very well be why I am not getting it to work right for me. I called my self doing exactly what those instructions said. Maybe someones gotta 1 file kengen somewheres but if so, I havent found it. if you can think of any thing else plzz let me know, Or perhaps do you have one? I appreciate you guys help more than you can imagine.

Obviously if soft reset not working he just need to do hard reset that will turn the pda to factory setting.
before perform the hard reset be sure that all important data is backed up and most important thing is the memo data that need to be backed up and copied back to this folder C:\Users\My Documents\Documents\Palm OS Desktop\'hot sync id'\memopad

Try Dbfixit (http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/dbfixit.htm), this well check all system dbs to check if they are corrupted, if so it well tell you the memos that are corrupted so just delete it or copy and paste it to a new one and delete it. If you can find the cracked version of Dbfixit it well do this for you.

Also think Tealscan tries to fix corrupted Palm apps, its the second tab "scan". It will find corrupted DB or probs, just press and select fix.

Another solution maybe use another memo app like PsMemo (which I prefer because it has search feature thats very good.): http://jove21.com/palm/files/category.php?k=Nightly

Lastly, you can do what NinjaBoyz says, hotsync first, hard reset and go to palm folder under backup and delete "memoDB" or all memo files and hotsync again.

I just tried it out and these instructions work.... Do them in order and take time to read.....

INSTRUCTIONS

install LMRegV.skg and MAReg.
run the mlicense app on your device, and choose registration.
then enter any 5 LETTERS(not numbers) as activation code.
DO NOT ALLOW THE DEVICE TO CONNECT TO THE NET.
then choose activate manually from the error dialogue.
at the 'enter your unlocking code' prompt, leave the field blank. then select next.
your 8 character unlock code should appear for various different Motionapps softwares . write the one your looking for down. In this case look for mVoice5
Then exit by pressing the home button on your device.

Now install Your motion apps software that you want. In this case it’s mVoice. Run the installer. Go to Enter Activation Code. In the Activation Code field enter any 5 LETTERS and press next. DO NOT ALLOW THE DEVICE TO CONNECT TO THE NET.
then choose activate manually from the error dialogue.

How do you do a Soft Reset exactly? Because if that is just taking the battery out and then putting it back in, then that did not work.

He also has a Macintosh so no C drive, but I am going to try and suggest a hard reset as I am sure everything is backed up and if he was not able to open up Memos then I am sure no new Memos were created; thus, data cannot be lost in the Memos if nothing was ever able to be created :)

I appreciate the help Ninja. I was hoping to figure out a way to delete a corrupted file or something as opposed to making him go through those steps b/c as you all know some times the older generations are not best at following directions when it comes to tech stuff.

I appreciate it and if anyone else has any advice, thanks in advance.

Obviously if soft reset not working he just need to do hard reset that will turn the pda to factory setting.
before perform the hard reset be sure that all important data is backed up and most important thing is the memo data that need to be backed up and copied back to this folder C:\Users\My Documents\Documents\Palm OS Desktop\'hot sync id'\memopad

MUH (MultiUserHack) will work on most programs and most Palms.

As for a user manual, well, there really isn't one, but if there was it would be:

1. Open MUH
2. Scroll down and select the app that you want to change the HSID for
3. Enter the HSID for that app (make sure Use Original HSID is not checked), tap OK
4. Check "Enable MUH", then exit MUH
5. Open the app you want to register and register with the serial that corresponds to the HSID that you enterend in MUH.

Yes, soft reset just remove the battery..
Even if ur uncle using Mac i think there must be backup folder, just do a little search in main drive.. Remember that u need to copy all of the files in memopad folder in user's files before doing hard reset. do a first hot sync and then copy back the memopad files to the older folder that will be created after first sync and do a hot sync again..
If this too hard just use suggestion from other members..

So heres a question, I have a Palm 700p with sprint and when someone sends me a picture text all I get is a link to it, but when I had AT&T it would show a picture text in the same way it would a regular text. Meaning I didnt get a link it would download it right to the phone and I would get a little icon on the main screen telling me I had a MMS message.. Is there a way or a program that would do the same thing with a sprint phone?

Palm designed some of the new Tungstens with an "expanding case" so you can collapse the unit and hide the Graffiti area. You can do almost everything with the case closed, with one exception - enter text! So if you want to enter something, even just a single digit, you need to slide the case open, use the Graffiti area, then (assuming you prefer to have the unit closed), slide the case closed again. What a pain!
TextMaster solves this problem by using either the "5-way navigator" button, the special "command stroke," or both. Whenever you are in a situation where you need to enter text (either the cursor is blinking or some text is highlighted), just press the "right" button on the navigator (or use the command stroke to access the special icon on the "command bar"). Up pops the onscreen keyboard! Enter your text, tap Done (or press Select on the navigator) and you're done! No need to open and close the case.Just the tool you need to make your new Tungsten that much more productive!

On the Tungsten C and the Treo 600 and 650, there's an actual keyboard. Why would you want to enter text with a stylus on an on-screen keyboard instead? Till I post this comment, there are still non of the posted application support auto save..
Let me define more on auto save so you guys can have more clear view.. auto save mean when u insert word and once u hit space bar the word will automatically inserted into database, even u type wrongly or short forms. this very helpful when typing SMS where every single short form consider as word.. auto save mean u don't need to add word into database manually or by double tap the word and adding it via pop up menu.
Thanks to Eon for posting the whole application and i hope you will keep up posting the predictive-text application, who knows some of them have hidden setting that I not discover yet..
Please let me know if I miss some of the setting that actually support auto save!
Till now only the best that we could have is TextPlus..
I will keep on trying finding this auto save application and let u guys know the result, hope u guys will keep on posting the matched applications..!

I performed a hard reset and tryed to reinstall my backup (I had just done one right before installing it) but as soon as the backup finishes the Treo asks to reset and never stops again.

Does anybody know what file should I delete to stop this (or what to do)?

The full non-beta version of PowerSDHC was just release 4 days ago. Has anyone tried to crack it? I think it is one of the most valuable software and is worth the money. For me, it might be the only software worth purchasing but if anyone has any solution for it, that'll be greatly appreciated because the SDHC cards are expensive enough as it is.

acessorizer, sorry im on opera minii and i don't have the link. Check it out at 1src.com. I never acessorized chattermail but I do have calender and todo and others. Just remebered that fastlaunch uses acessorizer to do it automaticly for you

Fastlaunch uses acessorizer to DA a app on the fly but some apps might not like to be acessorized. Thats why I just accessorize the apps i have test first plus a da launcher. I use zlaunchers launch anywhere feature that makes the side button a DA launcher.

I know I have seen something on here about this in the past, but now that I am looking for it, I can't find it.

What options are there for "multi-tasking" in the Palm OS. For example, i am browsing in Blazer or Opera and click a link to send an email. That link exits the browser and pops up Chatter. I send the message. Now how can I quickly switch back to where I was in the browser? Is there any utility that does that?

I use FastLaunch and LOVE IT.

Never used OnTop or anything, but Fast Launch is great and it's great for me -- especially if you are on the web and want to go to an app and then back to the webpage as you don't have to re-load anything.

I recommend FastLaunch but only because I have not used OnTop, but FastLaunch gets the job done.

Whenever I Hotsync -- I get the following error in regards to my Voice Memo v. 1.4 and it's VERY ANNOYING:

"Voice Memo conduit cannot synchronize with the Voice Memo database on the Handheld, because the version of the database on the Handheld or the desktop does not match that expected by the Voice Memo conduit.
Voice Memo synchronization failed
“Voice Memo” failed (error = #-1)"

I have had this problem persisting for a while -- tried deleting voice memo on the handheld and cannot do that for some odd reason. Any suggestions -- even an update to make sure the versions match or something would be helpful.

just an addition input on this. for those people who dont synchronize you can download prc and pdb files instead of exe by choosing MAC OS instead of windows OS and you try to generate a code on a pdb not prc.

Here is Act 2008 desktop .exe with palm sync and keygen...........

Extract Act 2008 then run setup .exe......run keygen to get registration for act.....in the setup choose to register over the phone.... use activation number to input in keygen then press generate.....use serial to register.....

After you register the desktop version, sync your palm with desktop version and it will install a registered palm version on your device......

Act 2008 is a large file....I had to upload in 3 parts.....

in my case with skyscape appz i put all smartlibs to my device and prc and pdb to mmc. you can try using powerrun if you. i haven't tested it yet with skyscape appz but with the other appz i have no problem with powerrun.

The code that you got from the keygen is correct..... after you use the keygen you have to uninstall it before you install takephone 7.60.....you cannot install it over the keygen........let me know

I think takephone is the best interface app for palm..... Why don't you uninstall the version you have on your device....then do a soft reset....then install this new version of takephone (takephone 7.60_020)

There is a slight, yet noticeable, delay in loading things on it, but I think it's pretty cool as there are a lot of nice features that are part of it.

I did not have any problem registering it and even was able to do the automatic update for it recently.

Why don't you use the unpatched version for now......If you need a serial generated for it post your HSID and one will be generated for you....

I will be checking the patched version out right now.....

Anyone have any idea why this app suddenly stops being able to delete notes?

As of now, I have to store them on my sd card and delete them with a file manager.

I would install it again on the PC and try to uninstall first on the PC than Palm. If this doesn't work use "Registry First Aid" (http://apps.katz.cd/search/first+aid+registry) and look for that app and delete all entries. Hope this helps

Hi, I have a small issue with my font smoother; with any font that I use whenever anything is highlighted the words get all pixelated and it is difficult to read. has anyone run across this problem?

Just figure it out..
The problem is not with your fontsmoother, u got palmrevolt or skinUI installed?
It might be one of them causing it..
Here are quick solution* work on Messaging and most application:
1. Set the skin in palmrevolt or skinUI to default.
2. Go back to app that the font get pixelated and u see it fixed..
3. Reactivate ur skin in palmrevolt or skinUI and the font still be fine..

Here are quick solution* work on Messaging and most application:
1. Set the skin in palmrevolt or skinUI to default.
2. Go back to app that the font get pixelated and u see it fixed..
3. Reactivate ur skin in palmrevolt or skinUI and the font still be fine..

Thats antialising that does apps have.

Another thing that may happen to you that happened to me and it took me some time to discover. Fontsmooth also can make some old games, their colors go all wrong. You have to disable on does apps in fontsmooth. In general in all games I disable fontsmooth or any app i see that txt does need it or because it has no text or it has it text fixed by the same app (like takephone). Palm runs much smoother. You should also disable skinUI in apps you seen that don't need it (same exemple takephone, its already UI beautifull)
