I tried Initiate Pro but did not like it too much. It seems to have so many features and advantages that I am not likely to use even 5% of its many functionalities. I somehow like a "lean and mean" over an "amazing and bloated" software so its back to Treo Launcher for me. At least for now ...:D

Zlauncher is the best, but I stopped using it because the new version of TakePhone (Takephone 7.60_020) replaces the home launcher with an I-bar style launcher.......It's Beautiful......

Hi I had a problem when I installed Khroma and immediately my Treo 650 went in for a reset and all my codes and serials were wiped out, though the contacts, address book and memos were uneffected. I had to rush back home to pick them all up from my PC. I have put them all in a memopad so as not to have the same problem again. But my question is - Is there some software which can restore all our codes and serials in such a situation? Thanks

Yes there is. In reality what you lost was the save preference file. This happens because it becomes corrupted and the palmos tries to fix it with a default one which of course loses all your codes. One app that monitors this is Reset Doctor (in my experence don't use the cache clean, just the save preference backup, crash log, and if you know what you are doing the lock preference feature thats stops some palm bugs BUT ONLY IF YOU KNOW WHAT IT DOES).

Another way, is to have a backup app (nvbackup and i have backups in two cycles, 2 days, sometimes it may take long before you discover you had lost your codes) and when this happens just look for "save preference" file and the "unsaved preference" and just restore theses files.

I use both, none are perfect (just remember if you use both and what to use nvbackup disable reset doctor). You always have the file from your comp if you use hotsync.

But are you using styletap? All prc normally are executables on the PalmOS and pdb are databases or files that store stuff. if you have two prc maybe its best to install both. But if you are getting that error on your WM its because you may not have styletap installed so it can run prcs which are normally palm executable apps

......I just like the look of the I-bar of takephone, but I don't think it has all the functions of Zlauncher....Plus Zlauncher takes up too much space on my ram......But as I said before, Zlauncher is still the best...

You can use ereader for the palm......it's free, but the ebooks are not......
and I can't tell you where to find the ebooks

The first screen is the Launcher screen (when you press the home button) with all your apps and games.....

To get your message icons to the right of the screen go to preferences/Plugins in "Find" screen and change them to the right.....

I haven't tried to perform this operation before but it seems to me that it would/could be useful.

Here's the situation that made me think of it....
I have a copy of my son's resume in Documents-To-Go, Ver 10.001(194). He needed a copy printed out but didn't have it on his computer at home... only on the computer at school. If I had the software I could have faxed it to him from my Sprint phone to my Hewlett Packard, All-In-One OfficeJet - MOdel 600.

After much aggravation and testing I've found out that this marvelous software doesn't work with the Sprint Centro... and it has nothing to do withthe software... there's a problem with the firmware of the Sprint Centro!

"Unfortunately, the last Centro update did not fix the issue with the device. The Centro simply refuses to dial the modem. Without that, there is no possibility of fax. Not just for CS Fax, but CS Online and anything else that uses the modem port.

About the only thing you can do at this point is contact Palm support and say "I can't dial the wireless modem - it never connects." If enough people contact Palm they may do something about it.

There's nothing technically wrong with the Centro; internally it looks almost identical to a 700/755. But somewhere along the line they made a firmware change that prevents it from dialing."

From the looks of it it doesn't appear that any fax software will work!

Are you aware of any other software applications that will allow me to send/receive faxes from my device?

Maybe there is a compatibility issue with your centro and that version......Try going to http://www.astraware.com/palm/bejeweled2/ and download the new version of bejeweled 2......

If it installs successfully then post your HSID and a key will be generated for you.....

the flash player doesn't work through the browser. You have to download swf to your palm and run it through the flash player. Also this flash playes just runs flash 5 swfs. Good luck.

Well I tried my best to patch BEIKS Dictionary Reader 6.0. This is what i came up with. they are no nag screens. you can use sound on the basic expressions in the talking dictionary files. the other sound files dont seem to work but the translation is there. so in all i think i got a 99.9% patch.

Install BDicty 6.0 patch and any DICTIONARY database downloaded from http://www.beiks.com :p

anyone, I have installed Firestorm in my Palm TX,I can load GBA roms and they run ok but when i press left or right navigation key, the program does not respond... I am very sure that my palm tx's buttons are not damaged or malfunctioning so i guess the firestorm emulator is the one with the problem. hope some one can help me with this thank you very much in advance!!!

I think you don't have the correct genesis roms installed on the card...... the extension on the genesis roms must be .SMD in order for in to show up.....

Never heard probs with zlauncher but with sKinUI (had to turn off the button effects on the camera and media and camcorder apps).

A suggest, why not use PhotosHQ or "Rapid Movie" and stop using the camera app, photoshq is better and may fix your zlauncher problem.

If it is pdf files then perhaps you can use OpenOffice which has got an option to convert into pdf format. Works well for me. If it is iSilo readable pdb files you are referring to, iSiloX would be adequate, I think.

Hello.
I use to send & receive SMS via Bluethooth with my Palm TX. I use the SMS application from palm (V.5.4.1p).
To configure your TX, go to "preferences", then "Bluethooth", "Setup Devices", "Phone Setup" and follow the phone detection process. (Make sure that buethooth is ON in your Nokia and it's configured to be detected)
Once you have configured the connection between your Tx and your Nokia. Just use the SMS application of Palm doing a "Send & Check"

If you have a Treo 680 I would suggest doing the following:

1. Download from http://piloc.penreader.com (http://www.c4pda.com/redirector.php?url=http://piloc.penreader.com) the "Lite" version for the desired language. (Deluxe Lite does not work)
2. Install the attached here Piloc 3.6 and the language file you have.
3. Do not enable after install Piloc 3.6 just enter the serial from the old keygen (the universal keygen dated 2004) and quit if the serial is accepted, if not warm reset and delete Piloc.
4. Warm reset and install the attached here Piloc 3.72.
5. Do not enter any serials any more, try to enable Piloc if it switch the language to the desired one and under the "Device Flash ID: ******** " is listed and the serial "S/N: ******** " you are good to go. If not warm reset and delete Piloc.


Remember 3.6 will crash Treo 680 so do not enable it or do warm reset if you enter into reset loop.

That is the only way I found to get different language support on my Treo 680.

I don't know that but PhotosHq detects movement and asks if you want to discard image. I also use "Rapid Movie" which takes photos in 1 seconds time intervals and this way you can take a few photos first and pick the best one (very useful in a music club which you can catch the lights and get a great photo in the dark). You can use Live! which films and then you can make each frame into a photo but photos are just 320x320. I still perfer rapid movie.

But sadly focus i think is impossible because its a hardware feature but i could be wrong (i hope)

You might want to take a look at TabiCam! I'm not sure it allows you to use the your device's camera as a webcam but if you have a webcam the software could be useful!

KingTyce offered a patched version of this software a few posts back... maybe 3 or 4 pages back!

This isn't RDM+ but it close. This software does almost the exact same as RDM+ and its free. Its called palm VNC 2.0.

VNC is a family of servers and clients that provide remote access to your Windows, Mac, or Unix/Linux workstation over any TCP/IP connection such as an Internet connection, LAN connection, BlueTooth or WiFi connection.

What app and keygen are you talking about? Usually a game ID can be found in the drop box under options. It will tell you in the registration process. Hope that helps.

I use centro. I want to send my callid most of the time so my friends know I am calling, but want to hide callerid now and again.

Does anyone know of some shortcuts or softies to do this?
