This forum is getting addictive..Amazing response.

I use centro. I want to send my callid most of the time so my friends know I am calling, but want to hide callerid now and again.

Does anyone know of some shortcuts or softies to do this?

At the moment, I keep having to go to phone, call preference, etc etc to set it each time.

You could dial *67 before the phone number that you are dialing... that will hide your caller id. This is for USA... other country codes vary. It won't work for dialing emergency services and 800 numbers though. To test it, you can call your home phone from cell.

Blazer requires a proxy server when using under bluetooth and a wi-fi
connection. You can find a few on the web that seem to work for awhile
not to many in usa but look around and put a proxy number and port number in blazer and you will surf. If you use google.com and 80 for port
you can surf google. you can also type just yahoo.com port 80 and search on yahoo. Its a cellular way of being able to control us.

I just downloaded the trial version of Lightwave 2.82 by ToySoft. I used the ToySoft Keygen to generate a registration code for both... my HotSync ID and HSSN. My HSID is gmathews08 and my HSSN is P2P20BD7V116. The keygen generated codes 10817 & 03874 for my HSID and 14384 & 06841 for my HSSN. The problem is.... none of these codes will allow me to register the software.

Please tell me what I have done wrong because I can't seem to gernerate a code that will work....

Hey everyone. To repeat a common phrase, "This Thread Rocks".

A question to Centro users out there, has anyone had problems with their phone not going into sleep mode while using 2Day? This happens occasionally for me when the phone it turned off while in the 2Day screen. It happens 100% of the time when the phone turns itself on automatically while the 2Day screen was opened last. No issues if TakePhone was last opened, or any other program, only 2Day.

I really like 2Day since it matches the look of TakePhone which I like even more. My current work around is to make sure I never turn off my phone while 2Day is active, but I would like a better fix if it is out there. I am thinking it may be a preference but I have played with most of them with no luck.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to whomever posted TakePhone and 2Day and even greater thanks to whomever suggested using Treo Battery to keep track of when your phone goes into sleep mode. I could not live with out it.

The the new version of lightwav 2.82 does not work with the new toysoft keygen.......but there is a work around........

These instructions go with the files that you downloaded from my post only.....

here are the instructions:


First install and run LightWav28Installer. Now on the registration screen it may show your hotsync ID or your serial number. Write that down. Now onto the keygen. Install and run toysoft keygen. In the drop down box where it says application, choose lightwav2. Then input your hotsync name and serial number if it was available from the lightwav registration screen. Now press generate. Now go back to lightwav and try registering with those serial numbers.

After you have registered lightwav again. Run lightwav and press the menu button. Go to general preferences and uncheck enable lightwav. Now install the newest version of lightwav (lightwav282).

Another option is PDANet. I use it on my 755p and it works great. You do need a data plan to use it. Sprint has a $15.00/mo unlimited plan (not sure about other providers plans). There is a version for the treo 650 also. Give it a try!

Great news:
I just figure it out that u can just delete some useless app on ur palm,
On my centro I just drag 'My Centro' , 'QuickTour' and other app into the trash bin on Zlauncher(might not working on other device)
Use ur Zlauncher's file manager to delete unwanted tutorial/tips that took up a lot of space, the files will be marked with blue color on Zlauncher's file manager which means it can be deleted and something that related to guide and tutorial/tips that u have read or unwanted..
U might also want to check the left over files that not be removed completely after u uninstall app, this can be done by sorting according to creator names, if it does not have valid creator names it means it junk file that does nothing on ur palm unless eating space...
*Careful not to delete important files
*Be sure to make a copy of the files that u might need it somehow in future..

My apologies to the forum, it seems I did not put in enough work before asking for assistance. I thought I checked every preference and every LightSpeed setting but it seems I missed one. I just did a second round of testing and found the culprit.

Anyone with a Centro and problems with 2Day not going into sleep mode, go to:

Preferences > Monitoring > Misc. > Phone Sound

Disable this and everything seems to work fine.

I hope this helps someone in the future. I really like the TakePhone, 2Day, 4Cast package and believe others may also.

Good tips. A tip of my own, with zlauncher after you installed a app and you want to remove it right after (should always use uninstall manager) you can go to the zlauncher file manager and list by created date and delete left over files from this last installation. The created date list of zlauncher file manager is the most correct of the file managers i have used (filez, resco explorer, 3xcom). Also you can give a look at filez save preference list and go to the end and see what was add with that instalation and remove if you want. For exemple skinUI would add a save prefence saying it was a Memo prefrence (this was the trick to save its install date).

I was just pointing that there maybe a sleep on prob that not all have noticed. In all they are very stable. I have send a screenshot that the developer asked me to send him of my 2day "operation" configurations. He is looking into it.

And its doesn't happen all the time and it may not be with 2day and be with another app. In the past I suspected pxa clocker.

After a soft reset I tried all above but now its not sticking. Maybe the misc phone sound fixed it and it needed a reset. I have noticed that it happens mostly in the afternoon, I do a reset every morning. Maybe its a memory leak and it may not be with 2day. I'm out of ideas. I still waiting what the developer says about this.

That is I couldn't hear the other party and they couldn't hear me but I could (only once) hit the keyguard and continue to talk. After trial and error I found that my Centros screen would dim during a call as per prefs settings then when it further powered down the call would be "disconnected". No readjustment of the Centro prefs changes the disconnect. My sister also has a Centro so I duplicated her preference settings but again nothing changed. I'm left with a software conflict but since my sister is not as "Palm Savvy" as I am she can't really help me. I'm hoping someone here has either gone through this already or might have an idea what might spark this behavior. Anyone have any ideas? My Mom and Sister are getting tired of me having to call them back every few minutes during a conversation. Please Help!

Do you have phone technician installed? It also has a screen off feature and maybe its the responsible. If not you can try installing and use its feature, maybe it can overwrite something in your system.

For memos I use psmemo which is free. For contacts I use Takephone which has one of the best search engine.

You can always use Iniciate which is a launch with works much like google desktop search, it indexas almost everything on your palm and can be searched but its only useful with a keyboard palm, treo, centro, etc..

Yes I tried this key as well, still whenever I connect my Motorola S9 headset with my Centro it plays either no sound at all and will not play any songs via ptunes or it will do a screeching noise when time passes as if it is playing. Whenever I go back into Audio Gateway after the "issues" with ptunes it says it threw an Error Code: 5

Read up on it a bit and says it is due to an invalid key is the most I've found on the site for SAG...any more help? I originally thought I was making the codes incorrectly, but it did the same thing with this code as well.

Also I thought I should mention the software works perfectly fine if I stay in the trial period, PTunes and all works great, but whenever I try regging, it flukes out never to work again....

You can always use IniTiate which is a launcher with works much like google desktop search, it indexas almost everything on your palm and can be searched but its only useful with a keyboard palm, treo, centro, etc..

Hi, I got Treo 650 and COreplayer keeps saying out of memory i got UDMH etc. but it wont work with this FLV file.

TCPMP works great for me but cant play FLV's

Uninstall Coreplayer and do a soft reset......then install coreplayer back on your treo again and add it to the UDMH list......then run coreplayer and see if the problem persists.....

Yes I tried this key as well, still whenever I connect my Motorola S9 headset with my Centro it plays either no sound at all and will not play any songs via ptunes or it will do a screeching noise when time passes as if it is playing. Whenever I go back into Audio Gateway after the "issues" with ptunes it says it threw an Error Code: 5

Read up on it a bit and says it is due to an invalid key is the most I've found on the site for SAG...any more help? I originally thought I was making the codes incorrectly, but it did the same thing with this code as well.

Also I thought I should mention the software works perfectly fine if I stay in the trial period, PTunes and all works great, but whenever I try regging, it flukes out never to work again....

This is hard for some user, try to change ur HSID to be simpler; u can try first by using MUH..
If it still not working u hav last hard option that is to hard reset ur device n change ur HSID, it may worthed if u got lot bugs to fix..

Did hotsync for contacts, calendar, etc. Not sure about the treo desktop, requires donation to be able to use full features. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, when I try to open QuickInstall, it gives an error message that I don' have a user name assigned in Palm Desktop. As far as I can see I do. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall? Working with original cdrom that came w phone, but have new computer w Vista, could this just be one more Vista compatibility problem?

I suggest that you uninstall Palm Desktop from your pc......then go to Palm.com and download Palm Desktop for 650 and reinstall it to your pc.....then try using quickinstall and the other features of the palm desktop that were not working.......

I don't know what to tell you...... I installed it on a centro and a 700p and it worked on both...... maybe it's a compatibility issue

Starting from sign up this forum till this moment I've not facing any problem with virus, I just use Kaspersky Internet Security and AVG on another PC..

There are two possibilities here, ur computer's av is too advance until it detect keygen,patch,crack or other free alternative way as viruses..
Secondly, ur system is already infected by virus!!

try this 4cast self-keygen. install then reg with any code your real code will appear. do a clean installation and reg with the code generated above. goodluck.

Can't help you with RDM+ but have you tried PalmVNC. It is free and comes with a desktop client and a palm client. It works great. I use it on my Treo 755p. There are a couple of posts a few pages back about palmVNC. You can also google it and download the free programs. If you decide to use palmVNC see my thread about installation if you have a network.

Atom Life is Great..... I love the fact that it has a second camera for video calls...... It also has some great reviews too...... I think that's your best choice as of right now...... go ahead and get it.....

I was looking for a feature similar to the 3 Skypephone in the UK for the Palm Centro and came across a product called iskoot. The problem however is that everytime I try to start it, it pauses for about 30 seconds and then says "Service Busy. Please try again later". I have a Sprint service plan so I'm guessing it has something to do with the plan or maybe its the fact that Centro doesn't have Wifi. I don't know for sure so I was wondering if someone else could see how to get this to work.

I am using it on a Windows XP machine and have not tried it on Vista. You might try running the desktop client in "XP compatability mode" in Vista. I did this with another program I have on a Vista machine and it worked. I believe you would just right click on the desktop client file and select Compatability Mode from the menu. Hope this helps. Let me know.
