It's hard to compress/convert a 4GB video to 700MB and get the same picture quality....just my opinion;)

I think skins has to be installed in ram for it to show up in takephone....

Also there is no simple way to show how to crack softwares...... I posted a crack manual a while back.....but I did a search for it and can't locate it.....so here is the manual again.....

Put the skins in SD card under Palm\Programs\Takephone\Skins and u will see them

put the clocks skin under Palm\Programs\Takephone\Clocks

I was reading up and I think PalmVnc has some compatibility issues with Vista....
Did you try using XP compatability mode in Vista? Right click the desktop client .exe file and select Properties then select Compatability. Let me know. There may be issues with Vista but it may work in compatability mode.

Hi.
I asked a question earlier about Custom ROMs and I just wanted to let you all know (those interested) regarding my progress on it. I followed the thread on treocentral and found it amazing useful. Read all the posts on the 30 pages and then followed through on customizing my ROM. Found the process to be relatively easy, had no problems worth mentioning. Was able to customize the ROM to remove all other languages except english, removed Versamail (which I don't use) and added FAT32 support plus a few useful stuff as LinkStart, CardReader, iSilo, BUtler, DateBk6 and IBM Java. The phone runs a little faster, SD card access is faster, resets are fewer.

When I see the files size on my Desktop the sizes are:
My base ROM was 18.0Mb
The bare bones stripped ROM was 12.4 Mb
Present ROM is 15.9 Mb

Sysinfo shows the present ROM to be 16.2 Mb, RAM to be 17.3 Mb and Free space is 10.2 Mb

Overall my Treo 650 runs a lot better. The link for those interested is

On some of the skyscape apps the .pdb files(palm database) need to be installed to the ram of your device and not the sd card...... In MosbyPDQ it registered for me when i installed the MosbysPDQ.pdb file to the ram of my treo......it did not register when it was on the card

1. extract.
2. run SkyscapeKG2008.exe
3. click SELECT FILE. point to .pdb of any skyscape app you want to install ( prc and pdb file should have the same file name)
4. enter your device id (A Device ID is 8 characters long!)
5. click generate. voila!!!!!!!

NO!!!! there are two files with the same name......but one is a prc file and the other is a pdb file......you are going to look for the pdb file...

Maybe kingtyce, gutta moss or eon could work on RDM+. I would like the patch for RDM+ also.

What device are you using palmVNC on? Are you connecting over the internet using palmVNC? If so, the speed problem could be related to your data plan speed. I have a Treo 755p which uses the 3g network and palmVNC is pretty fast on my XP computer. Haven't tried on Vista yet.
Hopefully one of the guys can get a patch for RDM+ for you.:)

Maybe kingtyce, gutta moss or eon could work on RDM+. I would like the patch for RDM+ also.

What device are you using palmVNC on? Are you connecting over the internet using palmVNC? If so, the speed problem could be related to your data plan speed. I have a Treo 755p which uses the 3g network and palmVNC is pretty fast on my XP computer. Haven't tried on Vista yet.
Hopefully one of the guys can get a patch for RDM+ for you.:)



I actually installed (palmvnc) on my treo650 and it works pretty good and not slow,all trhough a Bluetooth connection with WINXP laptop,with this setup i can remote control the pc,and even shut it down...

King, there is any incompability of lightwav and takephone? I am asking this because I use takephone and installed lightwav but nothing was happening when I received calls (lightwav did not start to work).
Sory to interfere, but for me beter to use Phone Technician to manage ringtone because it realy stable:
-integrate with system ringtone
-small or nearly zero bugs
-easy to setup and using its own mp3 player
-got all setup like LightWav except for picture dial that u can use TakePhone

Incidentally... I do have a question for those of you that have tried Softick's Audio Gateway. I downloaded the "patched" version (Audio gateway Version 1.20.1995) here and just recently had a chance to attempt to use it at the local Verizon Store. I got it to "pair" with the A2DP device but when I attempted to listen to MP3 files using Pocket Tunes all I got was garbage! If I switched to Internal Speaker I could hear the music fine!

Question... are there specific setting that should be used to hear my MP3 files using Softick's Audio Gateway? Is Pocket Tunes compatible with Softick's Audio Gateway? What are the conditions I should use to "configure" Audio Gateway? At the moment I have it configured for 230+ Kbps (Medium), "Disable Filter" is not checked and I only have the "Be quiet during phone calls" option checked under Troubleshooting Settings!

Under Quality Tweaks I have the "Faster Analysis", "Simple Bits Allocation" and "Use Generic Stereo Only" options checked... "Disable Volume Control" is not checked!

Any suggestons.... I'M thinking about getting a A2DP device for Christmas and I want to make sure it works!

.rar files work similar to .zip files. Multiple files are compressed and contained within one archive (the .rar file). It allows transfer of multiple files without having to select and transer all the files individually and also saves storage space. A password can even be added for protection.
You can download WinRAR from the link below to create, modify and open .rar files. Once you've installed WinRAR on your system, the icon for .rar files will change into a stack of 3 books. Simply double-click the file and WinRAR will open the archive. From there, you can select the 'Extract to' icon and decompress the files into a specified folder for use.

That was a windows OS, and I use Macs at home. I have loaded Mobile RAR on my palm, but I can't get the .rar files that I download to copy to Missing Sync's install conduit. It opens on the palm and registered, but that's it. Of course I can't get Register Jar to do anything other than where my jad/jar files will be stored, either.

You wouldn't know it by my posts, but I consider myself to be computer literate. Particularly since I can use both PC and Mac.

i actually found that if you use resco file explorer, the file might stay registered. i had sent a copy of bejeweled to one of my friends using resco file explorer and the game stayed registered on the other persons phone.
can anyone else confirm this or was it a one time thing?

Hey Ponch33... I noticed that also! I hope it isn't an indication that the site is slowing down although I seriously doubt it!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I figured out a ay to get Audio Gateway by Softick to work. A few posts back I asked if anyone was having problems with it once a connection was established between the device and the A2DP Bluetooth headphones. All that I heard once I tried to listen to my MP3 files using Pocket Tunes was garbeled sound. I was in an AT&T Phone Store and the salesman suggested I start playing my MP3 files using Pocket Tunes then select the Audio Gateway Icon and switch to "Stream to A2DP Device" and it worked! The music played clearly and sounded great!

I just wanted to pass that info on for anyone else that might be experiencing that problem!

Now I have a request... Can anyone provide a patched or cracked version of Ringtone Shuffler v1.01? The name says it all... it allows you to select different ringtones and then plays a different ringtone from that list when your phone rings. I was looking for a feature similar to the 3 Skypephone in the UK for the Palm Centro and came across a product called iskoot. The problem however is that everytime I try to start it, it pauses for about 30 seconds and then says "Service Busy. Please try again later". I have a Sprint service plan so I'm guessing it has something to do with the plan or maybe its the fact that Centro doesn't have Wifi. I don't know for sure so I was wondering if someone else could see how to get this to work.

I suggest you try DayNotez by Natara Software! It can be found at: http://www.natara.com/daynotez.

It is a nice program and even offers a desktop conduit to sync your information. It is also "password" protected!

The "cracked" or "patched" version is available if you serach for it!

no zlauncher has to run on the main memory but zlaunchers main feature is to put other apps run from your card. Just hold down a app icon and a popup menu pops up and select move to card, then select path: zlauncher and check related databases and create shortcut. After installing it you launch UltraVNC on your Vista computer (you can launch the UltraVNC Server (App mode), which only runs during your current computer session...until shutdown or you can run UltraVNC Server (Install Service) and it will load each time you boot your computer. After you launch UltraVNC you will see a blue "eye" icon in the lower right of your Vista computer that tells you UltraVNC is running.

Next after you install PalmVNC on your palm you will need to add a new connection. You will name the connection and put the IP address (that your ISP assigns to your internet connection). You can leave the rest of the settings as is.

Then you will have to configure your internet router using port forwarding to point palmVNC to the computer you want to access. If you have questions about port forwarding let me know. Give a try again with these steps and let me know if it works. It is reasonable fast on my palm 755p with the 3G network.

ON WINDOWS XP: press the start button, go to all programs, then go to accessories and choose command prompt( a black box with white writing).... now locate your SAG( softick audio gateway) keygen on your pc..... right click over the keygen and choose copy.....now go to the command prompt box and paste the keygen in it and press enter.....you will then be prompt to put in your device specific code......after you put your code in press enter......you should now see your registration key........

this is the most functional version so far but not 100 % functional. won't reset on chat. no timestamp on chat. password sometimes will not function. i've been using this on treo650 and am satisfied.
