I'm using the normal one that came with treo 650. I tried PictureSMS, looks very good but two things that buged me, was it having a SMS blocker. If this SMS blocker had block by category, I would use it but since it doesn't and I use Callfilter. And they don't work well together. Another thing I didn't like was it having its own property database and not use the Palm one.

Theres also PagerSMS but I can't remember now but I think it had the same probs.

Anyone know or have more opinions on theses or other SMS apps?

Yeah, the registration system on the new version is F$&%ed up.....use this patched version...


Forget about the keygen.........This is the newest version of LightwavPro 2.8.2_115 patched by me.......It's a preregistered patch......does not expire....


INSTRUCTIONS:
First install LightWav282Installer to your device and run the installation..... then copy over with LightWav.KT.patched to your device......

MadMax001, I have not tried that, but there is a good program I recommend. It is called PDACookBook Plus. I use it myself, you can view the info from here.

It comes with 1200+ recipes, very useful database/sorting options, etc. It allows you to add your own, and also has a pc conduit that comes with it and syncs wonderfully. I've used it for awhile, and I've been really happy with it. I had a 2 gig card and recently bought a 4 gig one. In order to use the 4 gig i simply copied and pasted all the folders on my old card to my new card. IS THIS RIGHT?
Now my new card is visible at times (on and off). Music is in Ptunes and then it isn't.
COULD this be the cause off my resets? (my new memory card?

Which Palm are you using? I had a similar problem sometime back and traced it one or the other application I was using (I forget which - unfortunately:confused::confused:). I finally did a warm reset followed by a soft reset which seemed to solve matters for a while. I had also transferred my files from a 1GB card to a 2GB card similarly but did not have any problems on that issue. I think some software is likely to be responsible for your resetting problem.

I forgot to say that this is caused by more apps on boot and save preferences getting bigger assuming its not a hardware failure and that on boot your card is not getting mounted. I recently have had problems with resets on my phone and i performed hard reset already and im starting to believe that it could be my memory card causing this. I had a 2 gig card and recently bought a 4 gig one. In order to use the 4 gig i simply copied and pasted all the folders on my old card to my new card. IS THIS RIGHT?
Now my new card is visible at times (on and off). Music is in Ptunes and then it isn't.
COULD this be the cause off my resets? (my new memory card?


Here's another idea of what the problem might be, considering you had no problems before you changed the card.
You have to be careful copying and pasting: if you're doing it in Windows, many times the folder does not show all files. You have to check, in folder options, "Show All Files" (to show hidden files) and, after that, in the open folder, allways do a "refresh".
Like that, you'll be sure to really copy all files to the new card, which should work flawlessly. Otherwwise, missing files might be the reason for the failures.

Which Palm are you using? I had a similar problem sometime back and traced it one or the other application I was using (I forget which - unfortunately:confused::confused:). I finally did a warm reset followed by a soft reset which seemed to solve matters for a while. I had also transferred my files from a 1GB card to a 2GB card similarly but did not have any problems on that issue. I think some software is likely to be responsible for your resetting problem.
Just my thoughts.:):)

Yes I have had that in the past. And it may crash your palm depending on the software aggressiveness to fire up the card.

First you should format your 4gb card with (note that the q: should be the card drive, don't make the mistake to format a harddrive):
format q: /FS:FAT32 /A:16k

This makes it faster, Oh don't forget to put a label, card without labels I think it makes it not work well.

Than install "cardkeeper": http://mytreo.net/downloads/cardkeeper,75.html

Turn on the detect unmounted card and check also attempt card re-mount.

If you have safeguard install it also has this feature.

A few days back I had a serious problem with the SMS application in that the moment I opened one the Treo 650 woud reset. [I was/am using a customised ROM, by the way]. Searching for a solution led me to delete my message database - which led to my losing all my SMS of over 5 months. That did not solve the problem completely. One of the masters suggested that some other SMS application must have caused some corrption somewhere [I had used some SMS Pager or some such]. Had to start from scratch, to re-cusomise the ROM, hard resets, re-install all applications, etc. Moral of the story TO ME was: Don't mess with other SMS applications.
I did not like the in-built SMS application of the Treo 650, now I'm a firm fan.:D:D:D

I've worked in IT for far too long and I'll be honest with you--no overclocking ever made a real difference in computing speed for me, and I have to guess that the scale is even smaller on a Palm. Ask yourself this: what is too slow? If you can't answer that, don't install an overclocker!

Maybe the patch got overwritten....did you install the manual files from the other folders???........In any case just install the patched file again and see if it still happens...... I have been using this patch for a while now and it does not show this message or any other nag message....

am using an unlocked treo650 from cingular. lightspeed and warpspeed give me a white screen so i shifted to pxa clocker but i have to uncheck REACTIVATE ON RESET to avoid loop resets and other problems. that does the trick for me..:D:D

If you only what the info a Moxy and Xiino/Blazer combo is the best you can go with PalmOS. But if you what a desktop web like browser, Opera Mini is the best you can do on the Palm OS (you should install fontsmoother and use the Android Font (small size) for Opera mini or any other browser, for a better experience)

I started off using snappermail when I was in tech school. I loved it because I was able to stay in contact with my wife and family. I switched to Chattermail and have not looked back. I live by it. My suggestion would be to try both and see which you like better. I have also tried SME (Sprint Mobile Email by Seven). Both SME and Chatteremail push email to your device.

Use the gotreo keygen.....it's pretty much straight forward....serial must be 5 digits.....so if you only get 4 digits just add a zero in front of the numbers

I have been having a problem with the game Duck Hunt for a while.
Im not sure if it has happened to any of you. When i am playing the game from my card or from the ram it freezes on me as soon as the screen turns off (turns off because i want to stop playing or i left it idle for a while). As soon as i turn the screen back on to continue playing i cant tap anything. I then have to take the battery out to reset the phone.

Any help or has this happened to anyone?

I don't think it's possible to play the Duck Hunt for LJP, because tapping the screen while playing ljp will always bring up the menu....

I have had keyguard lockups with crack version of pxa clocker (thats why i use the freeware one) and with KeyguardExt.

If you use any special keyguard app try disabling it and see if it still happens.

Another way thats not so easy is to install palmInternals and see the notification list. All these apps work in the backgound or on especific events. The HEHE group is the dangerous group, its apps that run all the time in the backgound. The is a WAKEUP group also. Look through it and disable suspicious apps or if you have patience, desable one by one (its better than the whole palm app list)

If the game stores the scores on file, use a card run app, like powerrun, zlauncher, zlink, linkstart and move the game to your card. This way when you play, your hi scores file will be updated to the card. And on a hard reset the files on your card, you can install game and just move theses files over app on main memory. Or another way, before hard reset save zlauncherDB.pdb file to your card and on hard reset just install zlauncher and copy this file over new copy of zlauncher and you get all your old shortcuts and apps that are on the card and if you delete some, just update all shortcuts of zlauncher and it will delete shortcuts of apps that don't existe anymore.

If the game stores scores in the save preference file, just copy file to card and hard reset and copy file back to main memory. It will have still all the trash from old apps but with "cleanup", should be easy to delete old app info.

Theres also a app called Undo (from the same firm that make uninstall manager), if I remember well, I think this app sandboxes a app in multiple versions and it may store it on the card making it possible to go back to a version with your Hi scores. It also helps to make multiple profiles or save games in games that don't save or do it the wrong way.

I started off using snappermail when I was in tech school. I loved it because I was able to stay in contact with my wife and family. I switched to Chattermail and have not looked back. I live by it. My suggestion would be to try both and see which you like better. I have also tried SME (Sprint Mobile Email by Seven). Both SME and Chatteremail push email to your device.

Chattermail v3.0.6.1 -- NO SERIAL or KEYGEN REQUIRED!!

Just go to Pref -> Console

edit your mailbox, goto other tab, sleep hours, is the hours it turns off. Deliver tab should have the sync messages selected.

ok. to avoid that "missing sponsor file" and waiting for 10 seconds, here's the work around. just tested this on a SIM not the real device but should work on the real device.

2. register with the details below. you need MUH (multi-userhack) just search the forum for it.

3. after registering you can delete MUH and still it will remain registered under the name of kracked dude.

I use zlauncher's quick launcher feature where the side button shows the DA's in the order i like. This feature even works over a bluetooth transfer, its almost true multitasking.

Hi-launcher is also a good option. If you like windows mobile you can get a windows mobile like start button, Launch Anywhere from the same guys behide zlauncher.

Thats your save preference file that got corrupted. Theres a app that prevents this, reset doctor.

Anyway, theres 2 ways to get back that file:

1-go to your backup (nvbackup, resco backup, etc...) and look for "Saved Preferences" and "Unsaved Preferences" and restore them.

2-No backup, shame on you, go to your computer and go to the palm folder in your "program files" and look for a folder with your Hotsync name and in here look for "backup" folder. Mine is here: C:\Program Files\palmOne\CastroR\Backup
Now in here look for "Saved Preferences" and "Unsaved Preferences" and restore them. You can do it through your sd card. I suggest not hotsync it because if you don't know what your doing you'll lose your good backup. By the way make a backup of the palm folder on your computer

3-no backup and no hotsync or you hotsynced after the disaster without telling hotsync to desktop over palm, you are in big trouble, you'll have to install some apps and register others. Sorry.

I keep getting an invalid registration code error. Also, I had to download the trial version from the site as the rapidshare link does not download the file correctly. After downloading from rapidshare I get a corrupt file error message. Any help would be great.

RS is right i have sleep hours to i do not use it cause i have my gmail email login set at off. To save battery. I will go into chattermail and login to check my mail then log off.. This is my preference to save battery....

But back to original question under "other" tab there is a option for sleep....

try upgrading the chattermail via internet on your phone that my solve your problem....

Pop does have sync time intervals which works. But thr problem is I will only get the mail if I leave the chatter app on. If im in a different app or if the screen is off, I wont get the email push.

For Table Tennis 3D, it's kind of weird. So:
1. Download the clean game from here: http://tabletennis3d.viex.org/TableTennis3D.zip (http://tabletennis3d.viex.org/TableTennis3D.zip)
2. Install and run the game
3. Tap the Registration Option
4. Write down the 8 digit code it gives you
5. Run the file below (.exe) and enter the 8 digit code.
6. Save the .prc file
7. HotSync the .prc file and the game should be regged.

According to SubVert, this is a minor and harmless issue.
If it's annoying to you, his suggestion is to install and run clean version first. Try entering all 2's as your reg. Then install the patch. The 'Sponsor" message should disappear and it will be regged in your name.
