Merry XMas people. I have a request; I'd like to use Pocket Controller Pro but I haven't seen it on this site. Alternatively, although that app has some impressive features, all I'm really looking to do is be able to drag n drop files onto my Centro (not using any slow "quick install" method, or so it has been described). Can anybody point me to a patched version of Pocket Controller or an app that allows true drag n drop file management?

Hi all! Anyone know how you can enlarge images in DataViz Word To Go? I've tried the zoom functionality, but that only enlarges fonts, not images. Is there anyway around it? The images are really small whenever I open it in DataViz and are hard to view compared to when the document is opened on a computer. I know that the resolution on a computer is higher, but there should be an option in DataViz that allows you to zoom into images too. Anyone know anything I can do? Thanks!

Hello Femine dont know if you use BibleWithYou. there is one just a few post earlier. with it you can use it (Tyndale Bible Dictionary) without further patch. It works for me.

It's best to keep your search terms short (i.e. Call Log). Too many search terms will produce less returns but may not give you what you're looking for, especially if there is a 'Plus' or '+' in the name.

Thanks EON i have tried it and it is as you indicated. I wish you could take a second look at it yourself so that any pdb file we download will have no limitation just as it is with BibleWithYou. With the BwY any pdb file pose no problem. I wish rheaDer can also be made same.

Is there a known problem with UltimatePhone and Phone Technician? Ever since I installed Ultimate Phone on my Centro, the ring tone sound keep going off, making me miss calls. When I choose mp3 ringtone for calls it never plays even though that for sms works well. ANY help will be very much appreciated.

I guess no one helped you yet because no one really ever need to do that.

I just use palms bluetooth feature, if its not fast enough, it can be the other side thats slow or you just need a device with Bluetooth 2.0 (3 is almost coming out).

When i send photos for exemple, I'm using Resco Viewer, and almost everytime I'm faster than others (friends with Nokias) because Resco lets you multiselect through the screen and Nokias for exemple is none touch so its a hassle to select a bunch of photos.

I had been using Password Pro. Yesterday I went to access my passwords but instead was notified that the program had been altered since installation. The program then kicked me out and informed me that its database was being erased... NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now even my backup copy won't work.

What I'm looking for now is not a fix but a new program. I just want something that will keep prying eyes out not self destruct because of a perceived intrusion. Does someone know of a good option?

Need a question answered. My Centro comes preinstalled with DTG 8.0. But I can't seem to delete or uninstall it. Think it's preloaded into the RAM. If I install DTG 11.0 on top of the older version, will it write over the old version or will it cause my Centro to crash? Thanks!

Actually, when I was writing RAM I meant ROM... DTG, Google Maps, are programs that are on ROM on my Centro... I can't delete them. In that case you can install an update but the old remains...
Kinda Sucks.. I have many programs on ROM on the Cetro.. some of which I never use... just takes up space ....

I may be wrong but i use the build in private mode of my palm with another app called saferecs that after a certain event (screen off for exemple) it puts everything ask the password again. But I have heard many times that this is crackable (but not by the normal people). Also I use Butler with its sms kill switch ;)

Need a question answered. My Centro comes preinstalled with DTG 8.0. But I can't seem to delete or uninstall it. Think it's preloaded into the RAM. If I install DTG 11.0 on top of the older version, will it write over the old version or will it cause my Centro to crash? Thanks!

Palmer4Life, I reccomend using Splash ID. It has worked wonderfully for me for about 2 years or so, and also has a conduit that syncs with your computer, in the event of something bad happening. Info can be found from here:

Did you try using Palm Desktop to convert the wmv to asf? In Palm Desktop in the media tab, if you open the wmv files it will convert it to asf, and Kinoma, Tcpmp, Palm Media, Core Player will all play it.

I did get one wmv to work with Tcpmp but maybe its not really a wmv, just the extension is. All wmv's i try on my treo 650 on all the above apps say they are not supported.

you can upgrade to DTG 11 use serial key or delete everything and re-install. yes you can install over 10 it will just upgrade to 11...

Yeah Saj, I did see that post. My concern was whether I needed to uninstall this thing. But I generally use Uninstall to remove stuff. But what I did not know is whether by doing this it might create a problem, like erasing files connected to this program, but which are used by other apps on my phone (This happened to once - by the way).

I guess no one helped you yet because no one really ever need to do that.

I just use palms bluetooth feature, if its not fast enough, it can be the other side thats slow or you just need a device with Bluetooth 2.0 (3 is almost coming out).

When i send photos for exemple, I'm using Resco Viewer, and almost everytime I'm faster than others (friends with Nokias) because Resco lets you multiselect through the screen and Nokias for exemple is none touch so its a hassle to select a bunch of photos.

I'm guessing it most be something in versamail you have to config. I use 2day and it monitores mail,sms, etc... Chattermail gives me a palm notification. I guess versamail just does that, uses palm normal notifications and the phone app just picks it up. Anyone have more ideas?

This is that little envelope that looks like the VersaMail icon. It appears that the problem arises b/c the DefaultHelperDB gets corrupted or changed and is not reset. To remedy this, open Preferences, then Default Apps. Re-select VersaMail as the default email application, and everything should be back to normal. The little envelope should now show up again.

I am on sprint network i had similar problem with versamail and decided to go with chattermail and i never looked back.....

chattermail is the best email app for me i use iton gmail IMAP push...

also setting are always off to save battery but when i want to check my mail it auto log in and get all my messages...

Again this is my 2 cents my opnion other might prefer something else....

I installed CallFilter today. I like everything about it except it does not give me the option of sending incoming SMS to voicemail - It only allows me to delete it, so that means I have to end up paying for receiving SMS's that I do not want :(

I'll have to go back to using CallBlock since it allows me to send incoming SMS to voicemail - the thing is sometimes CallBlock lets some SMS slip through the block - I don't know why it does that.

I hope this tidbit of information helps.

I beg to differ on that point. My aim in customising my ROM was to knock out many unnecessary stuff like - language packs (Italian/German, etc), RealPlayer and VersaMail (dont like either) and to install stuff I always use. Result was a smaller ROM, Treo was MUCH more stable, more dBcache and faster performance. Trust me if you dare, I am a newbie with absolutely NO techie like knowledge - my efforts were absolutely worth it.

Your best bet is to get a SD card however big you want it. (1-4 gigs). Then you will need to use either link start or powerrun. If you are using zlauncher you can do this with it to. I dont use zlauncher so i cant help you there. First get an sd card and then start tranferring app or games to it to free up ram.

I agree with mejia on this. An SD card is your best bet. I use zlauncher which allows you to move programs to the SD card. The programs are not run from the card but are moved there until you run it then they are moved to RAM. This is how all programs that move applications to a card work. Zlauncher also allows you to set up some cool themes (backgrounds and icons) on your phone. Also, from what I understand the 650 will use a larger card than 4gb but it will not display the free space on the card correctly.

As far as sending text messages without charge you can use AIM, Messenger or another instant messaging program to send someone a text message free of charge. To send an instant message as a text message to someone's phone you send the message to their phone number not their user name. For example you would send it to +1xxxxxxxxxx, where the x's are the phone number. You need to have the + and 1 in front of the number. This will send the message to the person's phone as a text message. You will need a data plan though. As far as sms blocking, I haven't tried any of those programs but am interested in trying one. Anyone have suggestions for the best option?

I don't know where you are but I have Verizon and pay only $4.99 for 250 txt\pic\vid per month. You might have to dig to find this offer but I know it's out there.

yes get a 2gb or 4gb sdcard and put all your games on your card... I believe you can just copy paste all the games to your card......

That what i do i load everythin on my minisdcard unless i have to have the app/game on my rom..

Keep an eye on what you put on your card and do or don't delete (Use and uninstaller whenever possible). Sometimes one little leftover file can reek havoc on an otherwise stable unit. Other than that DO get a 4gb card! It was the best thing I did for my phone (Other than a silicon cover). Trust me you won't regret it. It will allow you to load anything and everything i.e. videos eBooks etc. on it and virtually never fill up!

Here is a trial copy of hour pay version 10.0............

To register it, You must use Multi-User Hack...... Change the username of Hour pay to kracked dude using MUH.... Then run Hour pay and register with HOU-72522256.......After you get it registered it will stay registered no matter what..... So that means you can change the username back, disable or uninstall MUH and it will still be registered....... TESTED and Works....

Look here; it is not impolite for the people here to kindly ask you to perform your own search when they know that the search will find what you are looking for. These guys that frequent this board are constantly having to locate files, crack codes, research the more difficult cracks, and plug in HSIDs over and over to give people serial numbers--and I'm sure that's only the half of it.

So, you may be an excellent person who helps children in Africa buy mosquito nets--I don't know you--but I do know enough to know that the only thing around here lately that could be categorized as impolite is you asking these hard-working folks here to go do your dirty work for you. We've all had problems searching and finding, and might occasionally ask a question that has already been answered, but it seems like you are doing it everyday.

GOOD POST! It is too easy here to have people do your work for you. I would like to post some things that I have learned by quietly listening and trying to learn to be helpful here:
1. no one OWES you anything. This forum runs on courtesy and sharing... that means if you receive, you should try and share files and information as well.
2. asking over and over for the same thing means that people are less likely to help you, since it sounds like you are WHINING. If you have a desperate or time-sensitive need, declare it once and wait. If no one responds, then BUY the software.
3. English is not everyone's native language. The phrase "I WANT" or "GIVE TO ME" is rude, since it suggests that someone must act on your request. In truth, they do not have to. It is wiser to say "I would like to have" or "If anyone can share" if you are looking for something.
4. Searching for your own files is what you do BEFORE you post. If you cannot find it, or are confused by the choices, then ask.
5. This forum is not a candy store. I have found this place very useful in finding software to try out, which I have then bought. Other software has been useful as a diversion, but ultimately thrown away.
6. You are part of a community here. Act like a citizen instead of a child, and people will respond quicker and with more consideration.

I do not intend to sound rude or arrogant to anyone; I am a very junior member here, but I worry what would happen if the smarter people here left because they were constantly asked the same questions over and over again, or were treated rudely on a constant basis.

Everyone starts off as a novice... but no one needs to stay that way. Please, it is a New Year... let's take command of our own actions, and help others to become more in control over their file searching.
