lol i dont have much space left on it. i got a palm treo 650 off ebay for 40$ used. 100% working.

I have a Treo 650 and got 279 apps, which 90 of them are games ;)

All you have to do is use zlauncher (zlink, linkstart, powerun) and use the move to card feature (select relative databases too). Also it makes your palm more stable because apps that do funny stuff in the background won't run becasue no app runs directly from card only when you run it yourself (zlauncher put the app in main memory to run it and deletes it later after you exit it)

You need to transfer the theme to your device and put it in the following location (folder on your device) Palm/Programs/Zlauncher/Theme. Then in Zlauncher open the App menu and then select Theme Manager. From there you can select any themes you have on your device. I believe these are the correct steps. Can someone back me up on this?

Hope this helps with the themes. You can also add background images and icons by putting them in the appropriate folders also.

Why don't you use resco backup pro it does the same thing and more.....

Here a patch version from Kingtyce i have never looked back.. I have hard reset my phone multiple times and using backup pro is like nothing ever happen to my phone...

I am a little embarassed to take so much, and give little in return, but being a novice, I am not too sure what I can add when there are so many experts around. Anyway, I have a request, as I just bought my daughter her first guitar. I know there are other tuners out there--I have tried a few, but I like Phontuner by Phonature because it is simple and works for multiple instruments, even piano and voice. I did a search, but found no postings. Probably because it is ancient, and not been updated since 2003. Is there a version out there (I'm getting tired of the nag screen that shuts off the demo after 30 seconds).

Lightspeed 3.1 was solved a long time ago.....it's a patched version.....YOU NEED TO STILL REGISTER WITH ANY SERIAL.....


Ok, Well I see they updated Lightspeed to 3.1 now.......And guess what guys. There is finally a patch for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lightspeed version 3.1 is now owned above and beyond how 3.0 was. 3.0 was just a RAM patch.

I do suggest you upgrade. From what I can tell, it caches a copy of the decoded ARM assembly during runtime, which means that the delay incurred when switching apps should be reduced. It's mind-boggling why this wasn't done in the first place.

Install the application and register with any text that you so desire.

I have been running this on my 755p and no problems at all..:D

I'm starting to wonder if you have zlauncher installed. You have to have a folder on your sd card like so:

\palm\programs\zlauncher

do you see it?

how are you looking for it? Are you using Filez, Resco Explorer, zlaunchers File manager?

I don't use zlauncher anymore so I don't have any themes to give you......but I will try to help you out on your problem.......first of, when you install zlauncher to your device it creates folders on your sd card for you.....if you don't have an sd card then you can't use themes......

If you open up your sd card on your pc using a card reader you will see the some folders.....first go to the palm folder......then go to programs.....then go to zlauncher.......then go to the theme folder and put your theme inside of that folder....... if you don't have these folders on your sd card you can create them.....

after you have done that...... put your sd card back in your palm and open up zlauncher.......now press the menu button on your palm device and you will see a popup list.....you should see theme manager as one of the options.....choose that....look for the theme you installed on your sd card and highlight it........now choose select and then ok......



BTW, r_castro is best suited to help you with zlauncher problems.......

it freeezes up complete!!

Does anyone have any ideas of what Ineed to get for my palm centro to play streaming video from my comp at home?

I have Orb and can connect over the internet but when I try to open a stream it tells me there is an error or doesn't open at all......

I think kinoma does this but I don't think any of the cracks actually work?
(kinoma has an online registration I think)

I don't use zlauncher anymore so I don't have any themes to give you......but I will try to help you out on your problem.......first of, when you install zlauncher to your device it creates folders on your sd card for you.....if you don't have an sd card then you can't use themes......

If you open up your sd card on your pc using a card reader you will see the some folders.....first go to the palm folder......then go to programs.....then go to zlauncher.......then go to the theme folder and put your theme inside of that folder....... if you don't have these folders on your sd card you can create them.....

after you have done that...... put your sd card back in your palm and open up zlauncher.......now press the menu button on your palm device and you will see a popup list.....you should see theme manager as one of the options.....choose that....look for the theme you installed on your sd card and highlight it........now choose select and then ok......



BTW, r_castro is best suited to help you with zlauncher problems.......

if you go to the zlauncher's site and download the zip file, you will have a iphone theme:

I would suggest installing this version over yours, its the original and if you have yours registed, installing over it will update it. Run it one time, it will create the folder you need on your sd card.

then goto your SD with your palm (with theses apps: filez, resco explorer, zlauncher file manager) or by your computer like Kingtyce explained with card reader that will make your sd card a drive on your computer like USB pen.

Than go to this folder:

\palm\programs\zlauncher

and in here there are 4 folders, you copy wallpapers in "Backimage", themes in "theme"

You are correct..... I think only kinoma has the ability to stream videos from internet..... we are still waiting for a patch for this....


If you want youtube video streaming only then you can try coreplayer 1.3.0

I use winamp remote to stream my music and vids from my computer to my treo650. Its pretty easy. You just need kinoma on your phone.

It worked for me for months now......try the installation again.....this time when you install the pictureID installer on your device, open up pictureID and go to the preferences and DISABLE it........then install the patched version.........then enable again........see what happens and give feed back......

I use to use this all the time i miss it great app, but for now you can't everytime you connect to there server phone reset. I suggest try using treo weather i know it is not as good as weather channell but that is your only option...

Anyone have a fix for this yet? I used this daily until it broke. Now I feel lost....

But I couldn't find what he was talking about! I also use TakePhone launcher, and this app has slowed down my centro a little, and is draining my battery faster than before. Is this normal?!

Also, when I go to Safeguard, is telling tha this app, among several others, is not locking its memory when it runs. Any comment on this?

I am kinda hesitating to use Lightspeed, cause it looks complicated, don't know if I'll be doing the right things with this.... Any advice? and please don't scold me for my ignorance and lack of courage to try something that may be good for me.

One last thing, is there any app that can predict text when you type a message or email? I kinda miss my old samsung U340 for this (please dont laugh for using cavesman stuff, its all I could afford while I was going to college).

I use backupman. It backs up your data to the card. If you are in the middle of nowhere and you have a hard reset you can just restore the data from the card. You dont have to go back to your computer and restore with hotsync.

There is no difference between hotsync to pc and backup to sdcard.

The biggest advantage is if you are on the road your phone crash and you need to perform a hard reset, you have a backup file on your sdcard that will put it back to the way it was lst backed up...

Make a long story short you will not need your pc to get your phone up and running....

You have no idea backup pro has save me so much time and frustration...I recommend this to all.....

four things:

-when your on the road, and somethings breaks. Once a was 1000 km from home (6 years ago), my palm lost its save preference files (before there wasn't any app like reset doctor). I had to wait till I got home to fix it.

-hotsync is not perfect, I don't know now but many years back some apps would not have the sync flag and they weren't backed up correctly.

-if you don't have multiple copies of your palm folder, backup software on your palm can have multiple copies. I have two cycles. One day a app you had installed the day before breaks your palm, its good to have a copy from a day before that.

-more backups are better than one and with different apps even better

Correction 279 apps which 90 of them are games. I have only 6.5 MB free. The Treo 650 only has 20 MB of main memory but I do have a 4GB card.

Very important to have so many apps you should have cleanstart and lots of them on the card because this way its stable. Not so many apps running in the background doing funky stuff

I have Takephone and I never had a battery prob, you can talk with the developer over at 1scr.com, look for takephone post. You should install Powerhero and monitor whats waking up your palm. I do have them both, takephone and zlauncher at 507 mhz and zlauncher is resco locked in memory (i have so main apps that my zlauncherDB file is 1mb and it gets corrupted sometimes if its not locked in memory with resco locker). My battery with mail and messenger turned on gets me 14 hours of battery but turning off GPRS (chattermail fetching mail and Chatopus turned on) gets 3 to 4 days.

I do have resco explorer but the created date list is not as good has zlauncher file manager (great to spot files just installed from apps). But resco explorer does many other things but I don't need them. And I have to have zlauncher file manager because I use zlauncher. So no need to have resco explorer on main memory.

The big clock on Butler was me who bugged the developer, I do that alot, lol. Palmary clock looks good I had it installed but its to big and doesn't have that much of features and it doesn't even keyguard (only with some special tricks, apt and accessorizer)

Thanks King, I've been holding out using the internal palm private mode with the saferec app. A good Operating system should do this right. I'm hoping that with the new linux Nova OS, my private data will convert to the new System and thats another reason for me not using third party apps that may not convert well.

OK, first off, welcome to the forum.

Most of these programs (if not all) are already posted on here.
Here's how to locate them:

1. Scroll up to the top of this page
2. Just above the top post (under the page numbers) are several button choices.
3. Click on 'Search this thread' for a drop-down box.
4. Enter the name of the software (Keep it simple like 'Lightspeed' & not Lightspeed 3.0 overclock')and press 'Go'
5. A list of posts in this thread will return that have that topic in it.
6. Click on the underlined topic within the dark blue box to be taken to that post. Sometimes you'll have to look into several of the listed posts because some may only be requests or discussion of the software.
7. You can also use the 'Search' feature all the way at the top, but this searches the entire GSM forum and you need to make sure you toggle on 'View posts' and not 'View threads'.
8. Also, I'll give you a shortcut for several programs:

b. This is a link to all the threads in the Palm forum.
c. Look across from the thread topics & just under the 'Rating' heading.
d. If there is an icon of a black paperclip, it means that there are file attachments.

But anyways, as I was saying, I just got it, this phone are not well marketed here in this country - they are too expensive - I bought mines for something which is equivalent to US$500 (I really envy you guys who are in the US, you can really find deals everywhere almost anytime. My price was somewhat of a deal here as well :().

With all this said, it looks that I will have to stick with my centro for while. I really wanted a smart phone (and it has to be palm OS guys, I dont think I will ever go back to windows mobile) with WiFi; and if the phone is going to look like that pic - It's reaaalllyy niiiice!

Your right, I've never heard about that country. I'm guessing you speak Spanish? I also speak a Latin variate, I'm from Portugal, next door neighbor of Spain. The centro here is also hard to find and isn't cheap, its 299 euros. I got my unlocked Treo 650 for 720 euros 3 years ago. Most of the people here don't even know about Palm. Nokia (Symbian OS) is the ruler here in Europe than Windows Mobile.

I was waiting for something worth wild because the centro wasn't a big step from the Treo 650. And the smaller screen of the centro doesn't excite me. A while back i was waiting for the new Nokia 5800 which is like a Iphone, i wanted it for my media needs, Camera, gps, podcasts, web (supports flash) and video. And for work and info agregator, my trusty Treo 650. If theses rumores are through, I'm guess it well to it all, but I'm still waiting to see the camera, Nokias normally have the best cameras, lets see what Palm comes up with.

I had the patched version of PictureID running for sometime but now it states it has expired. I tried running installer +patch again.. but now always states that it has expired.

Any thoughts, ideas, or similar issue with this patched version?

BTW - (I know pictureid is a dumbed down version of lightwav... but lw kept crashing my phone - so I don't use lw).


Hey, kingtyce... Tried your advice no luck..

Totally removed all of PictureID.

Installed the Installer... Once installer is installed... display sits on a screen waiting for serial/key input... stating "expired" towards the bottom,
at this point, since I don't have a good key to input I can't even go to the next screen to disable pictureid.

I've even tried deleting the installed pictureid from the installer... then install patch... still no luck... (always expired message pops up when a call comes in)

Haven't persued it anyfurther... I might try finding picture ID with a ID and key and use MUH (if that's even do-able?) anyway... any further suggestions... I'm always checking out this site....

OK, first off, welcome to the forum.

Most of these programs (if not all) are already posted on here.
Here's how to locate them:

1. Scroll up to the top of this page
2. Just above the top post (under the page numbers) are several button choices.
3. Click on 'Search this thread' for a drop-down box.
4. Enter the name of the software (Keep it simple like 'Lightspeed' & not Lightspeed 3.0 overclock')and press 'Go'
5. A list of posts in this thread will return that have that topic in it.
6. Click on the underlined topic within the dark blue box to be taken to that post. Sometimes you'll have to look into several of the listed posts because some may only be requests or discussion of the software.

The problem is when i go to open it it flashes a phrase (out of memory) in a white screen and then it resets my phone. Weird.
Anyone else gone thorugh this or knows if this version isn't good?

What you may want to do is install Uninstall Manager, go to settings make sure all boxes have a check mark in them and for the sandbox option, you can choose "manual" or "auto", choose auto. After this you may have to reset. Once its installed, install Safegaurd, do a search for it on this forum...Enable SafeGaurd. It will ask you to reset your device. After this what may happen is your device may go into what appears to be a continous loop. After about 3-5 reset loops if SafeGaurd is installed it should detect it...it should ask you to place the necessary mesures to figure out what program is causing your phone to crash...click yes...after that it will load the necesary files needed..then it will reset your device...and hopefully it will find the casue of the random crash and try to fix it.


If this doesn't work then you have to go into what you could call "Safe mode" on the palm smartphone. Take out the battery...while pressing down, on the up key on the palms 5 way navigator, replace the battery. DO NOT release until you see "Palm Powered by Access"...if this works properly you should see a mesage on the lines that your battery is 'too low to perform this operation'.... go to SafeGaurd and look under Crash Log there should be enough info to tell you their what program(s) may be causing your phone to crash randomly...phew

Please follow the steps in regards to "Safe Mode"; while in safe mode install Uninstall Manager, as well as Safegaurd and Resco Backup and Resco Explorer if you dont have it already. I have noticed that the hi res doesn't really get better when you see it on the computer, it can even get worse becasue some image app will try to put the image bigger and the normal one looks better. And also PhotosHQ is slow. But this is just my opinion.

Fourth, rapid movie can make filmes out of the photos.

I forgot to say, in Picasa I delete the photos I don't want and after all fixed up I export them and copy them to my Palm Sd card. I they look great on the treo 650 screen.

Your right, I've never heard about that country. I'm guessing you speak Spanish? I also speak a Latin variate, I'm from Portugal, next door neighbor of Spain. The centro here is also hard to find and isn't cheap, its 299 euros. I got my unlocked Treo 650 for 720 euros 3 years ago. Most of the people here don't even know about Palm. Nokia (Symbian OS) is the ruler here in Europe than Windows Mobile.

I was waiting for something worth wild because the centro wasn't a big step from the Treo 650. And the smaller screen of the centro doesn't excite me. A while back i was waiting for the new Nokia 5800 which is like a Iphone, i wanted it for my media needs, Camera, gps, podcasts, web (supports flash) and video. And for work and info agregator, my trusty Treo 650. If theses rumores are through, I'm guess it well to it all, but I'm still waiting to see the camera, Nokias normally have the best cameras, lets see what Palm comes up with.

Hey sorry for the lateness on the answer but my internet was down yesterday, almost all day! Its one of the sucky parts of Belize - ONE BIG MONOPOLY IN THE TELEMEDIA/TELECOMMUNICATION INDUSTRY; and is a real bastard in PR (public relations). They don't inform us when their system is going to be down.

But yeah, although this is totally irrelevant to the palm fans, I just wanted to add that although Belize is in Central America, it is not a spanish speaking country. The official language is English (we were a former UK colony), but the national language is an English-variant Patois, which we locally call "Creole". Surf said he was here 1 1/2 years ago, so he probably noticed we speak standard english when we want to, but most of the time we would speak it differently. For example, instead of saying "What's goin' on? We would say "Whe' di go'an?! Almost similar to english right.

By the way I do speak spanish too, My mom is from Central America, so by extension the language and other culture factors were passed on as well - I like tamales and tortillas and that type of stuff :D!! And Portugal is a nice country - they have the current football sensation - Cristiano Ronaldo - Great player!!!! And Figo, he's gonna be in history books mein!!! Keep up the good football, you are one of my Europe football favourites.

I used to use Gizmo, but I think they stopped supporting it. I now use chatopus with my Gizmo account (Gizmo was a cheap imitation of chatopus). My Gizmo account is connected to MSN but it can support other protocols. Gizmo has a windows, mac client also for voip calls: http://gizmo5.com/pc/

Its light weight and works great for me. I also accessorized it so I can use it on top of other aplications, multitask ;) Oh it works in the background also

You have to change the mode to Moving Video (menu + v)
There are 3 operating modes in RNS:: Rapid Movie:

Single Photo - captures still pictures just like the "Camera" application. This simple mode does not actually create movies or photo sequences, but one shot a time.
Photo Series - takes pictures sequentially in equal intervals, and saves them as separate JPEG files. You can adjust the interval between consecutive shots.
Moving Video - takes pictures sequentially in equal intervals, and saves them all as a single MOV file. You can adjust the interval between consecutive shots, as well as the playback rate.



But your right its not normal video, its like does fast movies of things that move slowly like passing clouds. For normal movies I still use camcorder. But to be honest I normally like to take pictures more. For movies theres also "Live!" but I think it only works with tro 650.

Theres another great advantage with rapid movies doing movies is that its saves at 640x480 res. Normal camcorder saves at 352x288. But you do lose sound (hmmmm, maybe if you have "call rec" turned on you can sync the sound afterwards, never thought of that).

I'm not sure but I think you can tweak Rapid Movie movies afterwards on the computer to slow down and look normal. Any good video buff out there?

Maybe its the cable or the plug (i have to move mine around to get it to work, 3 years old cable), try "Card reader" and see if you can connect to your computer like a drive (a new drive, desktop on the mac and linux, my computer on windows xp and vista). If nothing pops up then its your cable.

A while ago one of you guys attached a KG for Photo HQ http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=183915&d=1231318323, I get a cmd window asking me for my HSID, and that's all it does, I don't know if I am doing anything wrong or my computer is blocking the software, cause my antivirus app recognized it as a threat, I did tell it to ignore that file, but still nothing. Right afte I put my HSID I press "enter" and then the windows closes, and nothing happened.

I also tried to put the prc file on top of the KG, it, again opened the cmd window again; asked me for my HSID, as usual, and as always, it didn't do anything after that. It didn't even trigered the hotsync installer window.

I'll appreciate if you can help

Here's how it's done.

How to use keygen:


ON WINDOWS XP: press the start button, go to all programs, then go to accessories and choose command prompt( a black box with white writing).... now locate your keygen on your pc..... right click over the keygen and choose copy.....now go to the command prompt box and paste the keygen in it and press enter.....you will then be prompt to put in your Hotsync ID......after you put your in HSID press enter......you should now see your registration key........

So I tried this kg out to get you a code & got the same response: window closed. BUT it works great with all the other HSIDs out there. :confused:
So, after more testing, I found out that if the HSID has the word 'palm' in it (RonPalm, Palmer, MyPalm, etc), the kg automatically closes.
How weird is that?!
Anyone else have a kg for this one (Photo HQ) that doesn't close on 'palm' HSIDs?

Run PhotoHQ and go to the menu/options/about screen where it says unregistered demo release....... you should see DeviceID......use that in the keygen instead of your HSID......

It didn't work. I tried to do it and for some reason it gives an error and then closes right after. Not sure if its only this keygen or what?

also when using the keygen......try to register with any 10 digit number for you real serial to show........ then use that serial in the real prc...


If you still have problems let me know your HSID, because I forgot and I will generate a code for you......

Hi,

Would anyone know where I could find an initialization string so that my Palm TT3 can dial my Nokia 6085.
Currently, they are able to BlueTooth text and images to each other, but I just can't seem to get past that.
I think I should be able to surf the web, get email, and have "Phone magic" on my TT3 dial a phone number on my Nokia.
Is there another Nokia model that might use the same init string?

Run PhotoHQ and go to the menu/options/about screen where it says unregistered demo release....... you should see DeviceID......use that in the keygen instead of your HSID......

I cannot remember the last time I sync'd my Zire 72, or if I ever have at all, but I tried to sync it with all of the HotSync programs I have (4.1, 4.1.4, SwitchSync [I don't know if that hotsync's but I tried anyways]) and have still not been able to sync to my computer. Can anyone help out? Also, the programs that I have downloaded for my Palm Centro, can I install those to the Zire 72 as well?

You can also hotsync via bluetooth if you have bluetooth on your device and computer. This is how I hotsync. It is a little slower but you don't need the cable. As r castro said it might be the cable has a loose connection. I had that problem when I use to sync with cable. Jiggle it lightly and try again.

Another option is to use Resco Backup (download from this forum) and jsut back everything on the SD card. It works great and you can even set a backup schedule.

Sucessfully might i add. Finally.
And i get 2 codes for HSID and 2 more for HSSN.
I tried all four (seperatly) to no avail. i click on the register button and it doesn't do anything? Help Please.

The keygen does not work for the latest version of toysoft apps because the designer changed the reg routines.........

Also.. the patched lightwav pro does work....... I have been using it for months...... and I also installed it on other palm handhelds and it also is still working.........don't know why it is not working for shivash

Could you put a zero before the numbers to make it a 6-digit number and try. I remember doing the same for some software somewhere .... then it had worked.

The Iambic keygen still works on this version of agendus........If you have problems using the keygen then post your device ID and someone will generate a code for you......

Its not yet confirmed, They still can make a Garnet emulator. But anyway don't forget that Access emulator works on Linux, remember the Nokia 810? So it would be easy to port it to the new Palm webOS if it is really a Linux under the hood.

Any way theres still Styletap, that has made a port for the iphone, why not make a Palm webOS version, if theres money in it.

Things are changing for the best in my opinion.
