I've heard Audio List is better, the newest version was released late 2007, I think, check it out http://www.wakefieldsoft.com/audiolist/download.html . Anyways, it is a later version than that you are interested in. Try to stay away from software developped before 2003/4.

I, sometimes, feel really bad for asking a lot questions in this forum. But I need to say that I really, really appreciate the time that you all take from work, school, family, and even personal time at nights and weekends. You have been of the greatest help I've ever had in such short time. That's why it's not right when someone from this forum does not give you the respect you deserve... Same on you guys, if you've done it!
I have no regrets, at all, whatsoever, for signing up to this amazing forum!!!:eek::);):p I think this is one of the best things I did in 2008 - too bad I found out about it too late in the year. I can't believe I had a treo 700p, before my current phone, and without installing anything that these great people offer....
Well guys, I hope you bear with all of us, and I think I speak for alot of people, by saying to you all - ALL those who have helped at least once, thank you. Then, say, for whatever reason I did not do what I wanted to do before my phone goes asleep, and then when I wake up the phone, the image of the menu (not the menu itself, because if I press on it I open the app that is behind it) is still there, and I cant really remove it even by pressing menu twice. I have to come out and come in back to the app so that I can remove the image.
Any ideas guys, it is not a problem with any db's right?

This one is hard. Do you have the last version of Butler installed (5.15), its new keygurd feature makes a transparent background (transparent background effect can be a screenshot with the brightness turned down) and can be behaving badly on your device. Do you use SkinUI? If you use any third party keygurd, try disabling it and see if things get better.
Would be easier to help if you posted your palm's internal guts, lol, use palm internals (http://mytreo.net/downloads/palminternals,457.html) and post here your system alarms and system notifications so we can have a look and try to find suspect apps.
Hi, I have seen a lot of people recamend ringo pro, but the time i tried to install it, it crashed my centro. I then downoaded and installed MiniTones. It's free and it Works GREAT! So... here it is!

I have a Palm Centro running the 1.07 software/firmware. I have continually tried to install VoiceDialIt (1.0 and 2.0) and can still not get it to work. My phone downloads the installer and after I run it, an alert tells me that the software is "not compatible with this hardware"...
? ...any Ideas?
I have the utmost faith that one of the geniuses in this forum can help me!
my phone is pimped out with everything from callRec to TakePhone and Agendus.... why can't I have voice Dialing too? And not the stupid "Nuance" crap that comes with the Sprint Centro either! :-/

I don't know nothing about voice dialing but I remember in this forum talking alot about that. Do a seach in this thread, should find usefull info
So, I know there are probly a few people out there like me who like to try new things... maybe one of those things you want to try is an alternative to the VERY BLAND Blazer web browser.
So I first tried to install Opera-mini 4.0 only to find that my phone Needed the IBM Java Environment!
Only after an exstensive Search was I able to find it... Now after I installed Opera-Mini, I liked it and I didn't. While it is kind of cool, it still leaves a lot to be desired and still doesn't fix the problem of plug-in compatiblity (Flash, Windows Media, QuickTime, Etc.)...
But maybe you'll like it better.
If you need the Palm OS JVM, message me and i'll give you a link to download it.

Friends, another help (as I told you, with my new Centro, everything is an adventure!): PDA Reach used to work very well on my 680 and my computer. Now, when I try to connect it says something similar to "be sure that your USB is connected (error=733)". Can you help me?

When you get this message, you must open your task manager and shut down pdaReach (or even Reboot) and unplug your phone, then let your computer start up and plug your phone back in.... If this doesn't work, try re-installing pdaReach (only on your computer) and then running it again. I have this problem occasionally with pdaNet, and man, is it ANNOYING!

- does pda reach work on centro? It says that no, but i do not know if there is a new version for it;
- i tried to instal yourcall, but it sends me back a message informing that "i need to upgrade my hardware". Do you know how to solve it?
I will keep anoying you as time goes by (so that you can help me as always). Good to be back and talk to you all again!!

This application helped me to retrieve ALL of the phone numbers I've dialed in over a Year!! I love it!
Call Log+ : Exports all of your call log to Microsoft Outlook Journal (So make sure your Journal is enabled in Outlook and "sync" with Outlook). It also allows you to view your call log just like normal through your Palm.
My PC tried to install the .prc file to the card, which is NOT where I had installed Call Log+ to... I found the .prc in the Palm Desktop file and added it to the .rar file for you all....

But actually as I have just found out it isn't one or the other of these apps working but BOTH together. Should I deactivate one or the other neither works. Has anyone else come accross this quirk too? Maybe you want to try it out on your Centro as these are very useful apps!

Here is something that I see referred to frequently, but a lot of people don't seem to have or know how to use.
Multi-User Hack (or MUH) allows you to use other peoples user names to enter their Reg. Numbers or also lets you use more than one User name on your Palm Device.

I am not trying to be a nuisance or anything. I just need help. So I ask AGAIN...will someone please tell me "how to" do this or at least say it is not possible with my Verizon Centro (one way or another). I have posted this 3 times already & no one has even told me "sorry, bud, it can't be done" or "yea, you can do that, here is the forum link" or "yea, what you need is to use 'this program". You can find it using the search button".
Here is the thing. I can't afford to buy a internet data plan with my phone. I have a 4 phone "family plan" for my wife, myself & our 2 sons, so my bill is already pretty hefty (especially with 3 of the phones being Centros. My oldest son likes his RAZR & didn't want to upgrade).
Anyway, Is there a way to get around how my Centro accesses the internet (by going around the preset Verizon configuration)? I could do that with my RAZR by just changing the WAP server access info to "wap.google". We never got charged a penney for internet.
Is there anything I can do to accomplish something similar to this for the Centro? I have only had my Centro a few months, so I am learning. I can do anything myself, I just need to be pointed int the right direction or told what to do.
So, PLEASE...someone have a heart & let me know one way or the other!

Well i am not on verizon but you can go into network settings and change server setting - ip - to what u had on razor... i am not saying it will work but you have nothing to lose try it see if it it works..

Hi King (and everybody), thank you for this, this is a great game, I am really not a big fan of crossword but CrossNums is just something else! I really enjoyed this game the few times that I played it, if you play a game several times and you still don't get enough of it - then that's a keeper!
Well, let me tell you the issues I had after installing this app - the first time I opened (yesterday as soon as you give me the patch) it restarted my centro. Then today after palying like 5 games (in different sessions without any problem), there is an option where you can change the game number from menue from 1 to 64,000+ (I think), I changed it from 2402 (I think) to 3, and then it restarted my centro again, and then when it restarted all my preferences (sounds, colour, etc) were gone!!! And then I opened several shareware applications (that I got from this site), and all were unregistered again!!!! I did not even know that one reset could have caused such chaos!!! But thanks to you guys (by recommending RBackup)I had a back up which I did sunday, and its all good (few SMS and phone call logs missings and bluetooth trusted devices missing, but everything else is good).
Its really a good game and I really want it back, but I am afraid to try it now after that, can anybody test it (after backing up!!!) and tell me if they get similar cases.

Ok....... Never played the game....... but you can use this universal key for the unregistered version of crossnums.... about that reset, it may be from the patch.....

This one is hard. Do you have the last version of Butler installed (5.15), its new keygurd feature makes a transparent background (transparent background effect can be a screenshot with the brightness turned down) and can be behaving badly on your device. Do you use SkinUI? If you use any third party keygurd, try disabling it and see if things get better.
Would be easier to help if you posted your palm's internal guts, lol, use palm internals (http://mytreo.net/downloads/palminternals,457.html) and post here your system alarms and system notifications so we can have a look and try to find suspect apps.

I hope you can help meg, I have the following problem:
I'd like to use Unlocked GSM Centro for modem internet.
I tried PDANet which works correctly, but I'd like to receive calls during a working internet connection which allows unly the USB modem software.
I've tried to install Usb Modem 1.6 a couple of times, I tried every possible setting but I always receive an error message 692 during connecting to the ISP. Does anbody know the solution for this error?

1- I am still not able to make PDA Reach work on my CENTRO. The app opens well in the computer, does the same on the device, but indicates an error of impossibility of communication. Can you try to help me?
2- I can not make CrazyAlarms work. No code I try work to register. Do you have anything to me?
3- Is really butler incompatible with CENTRO?

Friends, another help (as I told you, with my new Centro, everything is an adventure!): PDA Reach used to work very well on my 680 and my computer. Now, when I try to connect it says something similar to "be sure that your USB is connected (error=733)". Can you help me?
Q: PdaReach will not connect and gives me a 773 error. How to resolve this?
A: Version 1.55 (http://www.junefabrics.com/bin/PdaReach155.exe) and 1.54 (http://www.junefabrics.com/bin/PdaReachSetup154.exe) use different methods to communicate with the PDA, as a result certain types of Palm Devices might not be able to connect smoothly with one of these two versions. We suggest you try out both of them if you run into a connection error and see if one works better for you.

Maybe you didn't understand me, I wasn't saying to install other keygurds but if you had any to disable them to see if that helped. The last version of butler is known to give a screen out of memory with its new keygurd transparent effect which can be your problem, just disable butler to see if your problem is resolved.
About PalmInternals, like I said, system notifications and system alarms, it the first screen you see, the bottom two options, post here so we can help

Yes to unlock just press the modify button on the bottom right. I would suggest not changing but create a new network profile, give it a new name and use it.
I didn't understand your question because I'm not from the US so I don't have your carriers but with mine I used to use another dns server and some say it make the connections faster: https://www.opendns.com/homenetwork/start/device/palm-os

The "unlock code" for your centro will be ##3282#. After you type this in, your centro will display a screen with settings to your phone and account (IP address, username, password, etc.)
In order to modify these, this is where you will need the MSL...
Once your phone is unlocked, this is where the potential for damaging your phones opperation can occur though.
i assume that if you have access to the inormation for these settings (ISP or VPN) you could set up your phone to attach to one of These data sources rather than through the sprint network...
Other than that, try calling Sprint and asking to speak to "customer retention" (you may have to argue a bit with the first CSR to have them connect you because retention is strictly a last resort for them to retain dissatisfied customers). When you get them (retention) on the phone give them a convincing argument about something that you are unhappy with (e.g. you have 4 phones and pay way more than you did with verizon, etc) and when it gets to the point where they ask you how they can keep your business, tell them you would like to have free Data Service (even if it is only on your phone). I did this and was given free internet, texting and picture-mail for life for both mine and my wifes phones.
DO NOT ABUSE THIS METHOD!!
First off, it only works if you know how to "work" it. Second, They have a butt-load of people trying to get money taken off of their bill and in light of all the financial problems Sprint is having... they may just let you go to another carrier.

When I use this app, i just enable it for what-ever application needs it (i.e. i couldn't find a working keygen for Photos HQ, but i did find a serial that someone had posted and so I just use MUH for Photos HQ). if you use a "global" setting of some sort, there is a good chance that the app is telling the Centro that None of the apps belong to it cause they are all for some other Sync ID...
Try this version of Multi-user hack and see if it resolves your issue. Sorry you had to re-install...

Blazer can also be using a Verison proxy, you can check this in the blazer settings. If you can't change this you can always use another browser like xiino
I used to work for sprint in a retail store and as a Customer Service Rep... the Customer Retention trick is a little known secret to getting extras, fixing billing and some times just working the system to get what you PAY for. As you can expect, they don't frequently tell their customers this, but Retention is empowered to do ANYTHING to retain a customers business. I even got my Centro for $99 when they first came out and were charging $499 for them... Hopefully I can get the Third Gen. Centro or the Pre as cheap!
Blazer can also be using a Verison proxy, you can check this in the blazer settings. If you can't change this you can always use another browser like xiino
r_castro, yeah... the unlock code should still be the same. if not, try #*#3282#... these are called "hash codes" and now that I think about it, they are different for each carrier. The number part (3282) is kind of simple... it spells "DATA". these codes allow you to enter into the phones memory (kind of like a PC's BIOS) and read all of the information that is contained there.

just remember to always copy down ALL of your information and back up the rest, lest you wind up with a useless paperweight....

r_castro, yeah... the unlock code should still be the same. if not, try #*#3282#... these are called "hash codes" and now that I think about it, they are different for each carrier. The number part (3282) is kind of simple... it spells "DATA". these codes allow you to enter into the phones memory (kind of like a PC's BIOS) and read all of the information that is contained there.

just remember to always copy down ALL of your information and back up the rest, lest you wind up with a useless paperweight....

Any how, it's a nifty pair of files that once installed, give you the option (in your "Send" menu on most apps) to send a document or sometimes even the apps themselves to another location, i.e. Application, Card, etc.

1- I am still not able to make PDA Reach work on my CENTRO. The app opens well in the computer, does the same on the device, but indicates an error of impossibility of communication. Can you try to help me?

Yea I knew customer retention was the way to go as that was what someone told me almost 7 years ago (I've been a sprint customer for almost 8 years now).
I called complaining and wanted to get a better deal (and get extra charges off) and threatened I would leave (a little known FCC rule is that if you are under contract - i was not at the time - but the cell phone carrier has to let you out of the contract if you move to some place that the carrier does not have cellular coverage (so I said I was moving to Mexico). Needless to say I get pretty good deals everytime I do call, but I did not know they are empowered to do anything to keep you (they always get me with that they can't do anything else but then each time i call back it gets better). This explains it!

I used to work for sprint in a retail store and as a Customer Service Rep... the Customer Retention trick is a little known secret to getting extras, fixing billing and some times just working the system to get what you PAY for. As you can expect, they don't frequently tell their customers this, but Retention is empowered to do ANYTHING to retain a customers business. I even got my Centro for $99 when they first came out and were charging $499 for them... Hopefully I can get the Third Gen. Centro or the Pre as cheap!

Strange to hear that about safeguard, been using it for a while now, and it has actually helped alot. But its true safeguard monitors applications on your internal and external memory and it seems that it locks the card directories so that they are always available.
You can try renaming your card instead and see if it works. You may need to verify your backups made to your card after that though.

I know that is a controversial app. Why don't you try it by disabling all options except the "keep the card mounted"?

I've also been using Safe guard with my 755 for quite some time now and have had no problems with it. Mejia_mj may have another app that is conflicting with it. This can happen with a lot of apps.

After I exit MobiTV my treo755 returns to the Palm Launcher instead of Zlauncher. I have to press the applications button for it to return to Zlauncher. Anyone know what causes this and a fix? Thanks

If you are trying to get an app that allows launching apps from a card Zlauncher will also do that in addition to the apps listed above. If you are looking for an app to put apps from your computer to your device you can use cardreader which makes your device appear as a drive on your PC and you can then transfer apps/files back and forth. Hope this helps

first you should install cleanstart, select apps you need on boot and does that need to be running in the background. This fixes the bug palmos has, too many apps starting up on boot which effects the card not being mounted.
Card keeper does mount: you most not have the detect unmounted card and attempt card remount switched on.

sorry, I never said I had a free connection, my carrier contract is 3 euros for 100 mb limit per month
the only way free i know is to connect bluetooth to a computer and uses its connection (wifi, gsm, wire)

usually its the app, the exit in mobiTv is maped to the palm launcher. Don't exit, just use the aplication button

I've also been using Safe guard with my 755 for quite some time now and have had no problems with it. Mejia_mj may have another app that is conflicting with it. This can happen with a lot of apps.
I too have been using Safeguard and yes there was an initial problem (sorry, I have forgotten what caused it) but now (knock on wood) it is extremely stable. It has saved my butt several times when my Centro got caught in a reset loop. The feature I love (besides stopping loops) is that it tells you what program is causing the problems. This gives you a heads up on what type of program you may not want to run.
On a side note I am convinced that each phone acts a little different. I traded in my first Centro for my current one and it behaves a little different than the last one. Response time to button pushes, stability during calls are just a couple of things I've noticed. This is not the first time I've seen "personalities" in hte equipment I use.

I take the opportunity to ask for your help with obtention of a code to Crazy Alarms and Type Right (HSID: Cláudio Guerreiro).
This is my first guess, CallRec. Do you have it record your calls? Try to disable it or if you don't know, just move it to your card, and if you still don't know how to do it, just uninstall with uninstall manager. And see if things get better.
After this it still happens, maybe its treoguard, if in radio options you have scheduled on/off, could be this or screen turn off after 90 seconds? If your don't want do tweak it just disable on top or uninstall it and see if things get better
Checks theses apps first (one by one, not at the same time) and if it still happens, report back because i see more suspects
zlauncher can do that, just make a new tab associate to files type documents

Other than that, I think that solution goes only for documents (any: .xls, .doc, .ppt or Office2007) that reside in the device, not in the card, which is the case.

Besides, those apps will not create documents (DTG) links...
If you are trying to get an app that allows launching apps from a card Zlauncher will also do that in addition to the apps listed above. If you are looking for an app to put apps from your computer to your device you can use cardreader which makes your device appear as a drive on your PC and you can then transfer apps/files back and forth. Hope this helps

usually its the app, the exit in mobiTv is maped to the palm launcher. Don't exit, just use the aplication button
Thanks r_castro but I have the same problem if I just press the application button. It goes to the Palm Launcher not Zlauncher. I need to hit the applications button again after it goes to the Palm Laucherr to get to Zlauncher. An annoyance.

So, if I understand correctly, you basically want to have shortcuts to your DTG files like you can do on a PC by putting shortcuts on your PC desktop. Is that correct? I don't believe that is possible on the palm but am not totally sure about that. Myabe someone might have more info on that.

I have an issue with my memory card. For some reason it keeps getting unmounted to my phone. It really never happened before. I am getting tired of having to reset my phone to find it. I tried cardkeeper but it only tells me when i loose the card and it doesnt really keep it mounted.
Any Suggestions?
I had this problem too. I then when back to the basics, like installing programs one at a time and then was able to find out what caused it. Most likely it will be among the last few you installed. When I found out it was not having the problem after a hard reset, that is what I did. And it worked. Sorry, but I cannot remember what was specifically the program which I held responsible.

Maybe I'm not understanding what you want do do, if you want to explain better. Ant way just to remind you that zlink is a child app of zlauncher. Zlauncher should be able to do everything that zlink does.

This isn't easy for a newbie ;) but i'll try. Prc are like EXE on a Windows Machines, they are binary files that have in them all it needs to run BUT are coded around the operating system. You click it and it just runs. The advantage is that they are normally very fast but the disadvantage is they are not portable (palm app will not run on Windows Mobile without a emulator and thats explained next)
Java files, like flash files (swf), air files (Adobe air), need a player app to be run. Java needs what they call a virtual machine, Flash needs a flash player. Ok, whats the advantage of this, its with this method you can make a java files and not worry about the operating system (palm, windows mobile, symbian, windows, linux, mac, etc...). Notice this is just in theory because than the people that make the virtual machine to run java files are the responsables of making it work and be compatable. In case of flash which is all made by adobe it works great. But with java, just the one that were made by Sun and maybe by Nokia are the ones that work well, the rest are very bad.
And this is where Palm java virtual machine sucks, IBM made a very bad job of it. There are other java virtual machines for palm like SuperWaba (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/superwaba.shtml) but sadly it was never adapted officilly by palm. But if you what to make a windows mobile and palm app with the say code, superwab is great for that.

Sadly I'm guessing that MobiTV is changing the app button too. Check inside the MobiTV app if there is a option to map to another launcher.

Its been reported in lots foruns, and everyone states a different app, its always the last one :). Its the quantity thats making the card mount not work. There can be some apps that are heavier than others but eventually your run into the problem again by installing more apps.
Use cleanstart and cleanup your boot and cardkeeper to monitor the card mount. Palm OS was not builded for so many apps.
I have 281 apps installed on my Treo 650, and 26 apps selected in cleanstart (you can use "uncache" also, they say it can be a bit faster than cleanstart) to start on boot.
Additionally, there are some more differences between ZLauncher and ZLink: for instance, ZLauncher does not create links for contacts (you press the icon and immediatelly call someone), ZLink does.

I never did this with a Word Doc, but with a txt i have done it. In zlauncher I press down on the icon and a menu popups and you can select shortcut and than put the shortcut where you want.

I have a DA hidden tab to make quick launch DAs. My system tab, DA tab, ALL tab are all hidden (menu+h switch modes)

Yes there can be some apps more agressive, i have heard butler, reset doctor, etc...
My main memory is at 5.5 mb (treo 650 only has about 22 mb ram), i haven't been cleaning it laterly.
My dbcache when i clean it has 8.5 Mb, I have 8 apps locked in memory about 2.6 mb of dbcache and 26 apps are started on boot with cleanstart (not really started more like ready to work). On boot i do run powerup (to run around the freeware limitation of pxaclocker) and pxaclocker automaticly.
Nvbackup backups every morning and makes a reset to start the day fresh :)
Most of my apps are installed on my 4gb card with zlauncher (zlauncherDB.pdb is 1mb of size and has 440 recs). About 90 of them are games

There are two major problems on this solution: you are right, under that method documents are not shown in the tab. If you look for the "type" or "creator" of the documents to customize... there is none! The second problem, as I told you, is that this solution, if functioning, would be available for the documents stored in the device, not in the expansion card (where most of them are stored).
Hope development is on, ZLauncher is almost the same for many years... But still the best for me!

Yea I knew customer retention was the way to go as that was what someone told me almost 7 years ago (I've been a sprint customer for almost 8 years now).
I called complaining and wanted to get a better deal (and get extra charges off) and threatened I would leave (a little known FCC rule is that if you are under contract - i was not at the time - but the cell phone carrier has to let you out of the contract if you move to some place that the carrier does not have cellular coverage (so I said I was moving to Mexico). Needless to say I get pretty good deals everytime I do call, but I did not know they are empowered to do anything to keep you (they always get me with that they can't do anything else but then each time i call back it gets better). This explains it!

- Crazy alarms still with no register and I can't do it become also(HSID: Cláudio Guerreiro);
- Butler 5 works on my Centro, but the KeyGen still for old ones (already made all the possible search) and I can not try to install over the old one because it does not open on treo.

I've been tryingto figure out if there is a "VoiceIt Technologies" keyen around... I know there is the "voiceLib.keygen.prc" which DOES work with VoiceNavIt, but when I tried to install VoiceDialIt 2.0, it over-wrote the voice.Lib.prc and now none of them work....
I also noted that 2Dial has the same "VoiceIt Technologies" dialer built into it, which if there was a keygen for, I would rather use than the stand alone VoiceDialIt.
But maybe if the VoiceDialIt 3.0 Worked, then the plug-in for 2Dial would work automatically....??

next time you hard reset change your hotsync name, should never have special caracteres and spaces. I also speak a latin language, portuguese and never in tecnology you should use special caracteres, always the standard ASCII, normal letters. Spaces also are known to give problemas thats why you see underscores. Suggestion: CGuerreiro
My butler was registed with old butler than install new butler over, most apps work.
About Crazy alarm you can always use another hotsync name, just install hsnswitch and choose any name for the specific app and generate a code for that name.
When you see in this forum hotsync names generated for anyone you can use them with hsnswitch. If the app is running from the card you should make two entries in hsnswitch, one on main memory and another when installed on card (zlauncher normally puts a * at the end of the apps name)

next time you hard reset change your hotsync name, should never have special caracteres and spaces. I also speak a latin language, portuguese and never in tecnology you should use special caracteres, always the standard ASCII, normal letters. Spaces also are known to give problemas thats why you see underscores. Suggestion: CGuerreiro
My butler was registed with old butler than install new butler over, most apps work.
About Crazy alarm you can always use another hotsync name, just install hsnswitch and choose any name for the specific app and generate a code for that name.
When you see in this forum hotsync names generated for anyone you can use them with hsnswitch. If the app is running from the card you should make two entries in hsnswitch, one on main memory and another when installed on card (zlauncher normally puts a * at the end of the apps name)

Friends (THANKS r_castro, eon, king, saj, rs, dev and all the others) I have been able to solve most things, but two problems remain:
- Crazy alarms still with no register and I can't do it become also(HSID: Cláudio Guerreiro);
- Butler 5 works on my Centro, but the KeyGen still for old ones (already made all the possible search) and I can not try to install over the old one because it does not open on treo.
Can you help me :eek:with this new one?

Hey, how is it going young........
Ok here is what you have to do.......
after you run the keymaker it gives you the 3 files to change.....they are labeled a1 (6204), a2 (2028), and c (6258).........
now right click over the bolvanka file and choose edit........ you will see some lines that you can edit...... for example..
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PocketDVD\OutputConfig\ a1]
@="11111"
you are going to change that line to.....
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PocketDVD\OutputConfig\ a1]
@="6204"
you will do the same for the other two files......after you finished changing them, choose file and press save.......
now instead of right clicking the bolvanka file you are going to double left click the file and have it save itself in the registry.......
That's it ...... you should be registered now......

Have you tried Kinoma, if you search it here, i'm sure you will find it. Kinoma isn't just a palm app it has a windows converter too.

This isn't easy for a newbie ;) but i'll try. Prc are like EXE on a Windows Machines, they are binary files that have in them all it needs to run BUT are coded around the operating system. You click it and it just runs. The advantage is that they are normally very fast but the disadvantage is they are not portable (palm app will not run on Windows Mobile without a emulator and thats explained next)
Java files, like flash files (swf), air files (Adobe air), need a player app to be run. Java needs what they call a virtual machine, Flash needs a flash player. Ok, whats the advantage of this, its with this method you can make a java files and not worry about the operating system (palm, windows mobile, symbian, windows, linux, mac, etc...). Notice this is just in theory because than the people that make the virtual machine to run java files are the responsables of making it work and be compatable. In case of flash which is all made by adobe it works great. But with java, just the one that were made by Sun and maybe by Nokia are the ones that work well, the rest are very bad.
And this is where Palm java virtual machine sucks, IBM made a very bad job of it. There are other java virtual machines for palm like SuperWaba (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/superwaba.shtml) but sadly it was never adapted officilly by palm. But if you what to make a windows mobile and palm app with the say code, superwab is great for that.

I have used PocketDVD successfully installing movies on my treo 755. I used the demo version. The demo only allows about 5 mins of ripping from the DVD at one time. So, I just ripped however many 5 min segments I needed for the entire movie and named them sequentially (ie. Part1, Part2 etc.). After doing this I put all the segments on my treo and when I play the movie I just need to select all the segments in the player and it plays the entire movie with no interruption.

ok. here's the keygen. you need a palm simulator for this since it will reset your device.
instructions:

Astraware game must be in device RAM, not on card or in simulator.

I can't remember what do I had to do after installation, but it still works great. Try to give a random s.n. and reg.code, I will try to reinstall on my Centro.

Also, I have tried that Keygen, unfortunately. The only apps optional on the list were tradewinds 1, tradewinds 2, filez, and universal. Oh, never mind. I just realized that the program selects all programs iN RAM and not sd card. Shoot.

EDIT: Just for everyone to know, this keygen is amazing. Save eon and all the others some trouble and install it for all your astraware games. As I said above, however, the game must be in ram. What i did, however, was copied the games to ram, got the code, and entered the code in the sd one.
Seriously, though, this would save eon and all the others a lot of work!

On the safe side, when you have the time, you should not have hsid with spaces and "." (none letters or special caracters). "pnoppf" pointed out that you shouldn't use all capital letters too.

Palm you can use any wake up alarm and i can send you azhann MP3 so u can set that as a timmer
RSN wake up alarm is pretty good but there are many out there...

Is there a way to transfer the messages in treo 650 to the SIM card so that i can transfer it to another phone? or is there a solution without the sim card with any software,i had all my message store in the treo but now i wanna transfer it to another phone .thanks
You could conceivably use Resco Backup to backup your 650 to the card and then install Resco Backup on the new phone and restore to the new phone. I would also think if you used the same HSID on the new phone you could hotsync everything back to the new phone. Just ensure the options are set for desktop to overwrite the phone.

On the safe side, when you have the time, you should not have hsid with spaces and "." (none letters or special caracters). "pnoppf" pointed out that you shouldn't use all capital letters too.
Some advice here; just use simple HSID like name of motorbike or car i.e R1, GTR, MSX or EVO.
Can easily generate reg. code at ease and no more long typing and error..

its not a palm but a first generation samsung mobile, actually my friend have borrowed my palm 650 and all his SIM messages got transfer to the treo and now all his messages are on my phone and i havn't been able to find a way to transfer it back to his SIM or phone,any solution will be appreciated ,thanks.

do you try lookinginto sound preference. i know ringcare take over your phone setting.
try to turn on vibrate under sound preference
also try to see if ringcare contacts - groups you have vibrate selected...
known caller - unknown caller - voicemail make sure vibrate is check with mute..

Does this happen with all video types or a specific one? I ask this because wmv that are encode with wma (windows media audio) can show there video but not there sound for exemple on a palm. I'm not sure if its exactly like this but it is about the sound encoding, not all are free or supported by palm or other devices or operating systems. I known your saying on your computer, maybe its the sound encoder is not installed. Did you try seeing it with VLC, this things supports almost every encode: http://www.filehippo.com/download_vlc/

there is app call smsbackup, I never got it to work very well. But it copies your sms to memos. I think than you go to palm desktop and export them. If its a nokia phone or Windows Mobile phone you maybe able to import the file through there sync apps. Just a idea.
Any good sms backup apps out there? Theres a post here of smsbackup, anyone had luck with this app?

Did you try in safe mode if it vibrates? Just reset with the 5-nav pressed up
If it works than its a software prob, if not than sadly its hardware. You can backup and hard reset to really make sure. Good Luck

Oh forgot to say that VLC is great (even better) on the MAC. There is a linux one too but it uses QT libraries, for does that don't like to mix GTK and QT.
I've tried Xiino, and I'm very impressed, it seems better and faster than blazer and doesn't crash like Opera Mini. But I can only use it for English language home pages, because it cannot show special Hungarian characters, it replaces every character with 4-5 symbols, therefore I'm unable to read sites written in Hungarian.
In Prefs panel I've found that encoding can be changed, but I can choose only Western/Chines/Japanese, there is no option for Eastern European.
Is it possible the download new encoding methods for Xiino?

TakePhone is an application you need to develop a taste for. But after a while you will realize that is a very good application, it can find contacts in a giffy without hassle at all right from your phone screen, once located you can perform various functions like call, sms, email, edit, etc. To me it has been the best... you should give it a next try...

The bike is blue YAMAHA survive with minor scratch and the T-bone handle bend up a little bit; my brother fixed it already.
I just use traditional way of treatment so took me up only 40 days of full recovery, thank G.OD.

Oh another reason can be, if your Treo 650 doesn't have a cooked rom (custom made rom) to support cards bigger than 1GB (i think its 1GB or 2GB out of the box), you can't use cards larger than 1gb
NOTE: the "d:" below, is the card drive, please select the right letter of your drive or you maybe erase another drive on your computer.

Ok - What I can get from here is that your card CAN be read from a card reader (adapter), but your phone CANNOT read ANY card at all!
If this is it, then it migt be your phone's card slot that is in trouble. But if it is just YOUR card, then you can try reformat your card, as r_castro said, using your computer's card reader. You can go to "My Computer", then locate the card drive, right click and click on Format (assuming you have windows OS, if you are on other OS please reply.

Hi King (and everybody), thank you for this, this is a great game, I am really not a big fan of crossword but CrossNums is just something else! I really enjoyed this game the few times that I played it, if you play a game several times and you still don't get enough of it - then that's a keeper!
Well, let me tell you the issues I had after installing this app - the first time I opened (yesterday as soon as you give me the patch) it restarted my centro. Then today after palying like 5 games (in different sessions without any problem), there is an option where you can change the game number from menue from 1 to 64,000+ (I think), I changed it from 2402 (I think) to 3, and then it restarted my centro again, and then when it restarted all my preferences (sounds, colour, etc) were gone!!! And then I opened several shareware applications (that I got from this site), and all were unregistered again!!!! I did not even know that one reset could have caused such chaos!!! But thanks to you guys (by recommending RBackup)I had a back up which I did sunday, and its all good (few SMS and phone call logs missings and bluetooth trusted devices missing, but everything else is good).
Its really a good game and I really want it back, but I am afraid to try it now after that, can anybody test it (after backing up!!!) and tell me if they get similar cases.
Hey King, do you think the patch may had created something or it is just an unstable app. Maybe generating a serial (and not a patch) and trying it may provide some clues....

Ok....... Never played the game....... but you can use this universal key for the unregistered version of crossnums.... about that reset, it may be from the patch.....

Hi King, nope it was not the patch that created the resets
The initial reset after installing the app still happened...
Then just today I wanted to play the game again, and guess it reset my phone and knocked off all my registration codes and preferences.
I uninstall this app for good.... or at least until an update is released.
