It can be cracked first of one would have to convert it to a prc file. Hi everyone, I noticed that since I've been trying the Teal OS, my PALM is REALLY slow, specifically the menu/loader/main part of Teal OS. It does not appear that the programs themselves run more slowly, just navigating between them takes literally 10-15 seconds most times. I am running a Treo 680, and am wondering if anyone else is noticing this problem, or happens to have a solution/suggestion to try.

On one other side note, since I've been using it, I've noticed that a LOT (in fact, probably close to 2/3) of my applications are saying they are no longer registered. Does anyone know what is causing this, or what to do to fix it?

If so, please let me know.

If this is what you are looking for, here is a patch of the software......

Install all three files and register with any letter/number......

I use mRing for 3 reasons:
1) Picture ID
2) Allows for ringtones to be stored on memory card
3) Can use a random ringtone for every call. I like hearing a different ringer every time, and this is the only program I found that has this function built in.

I am currently trying out mRing after using RingCare/VolumeCare for the past 6 months or so. Some custom mp3 ringtone and alerts would play normally in a media player, but not under RingCare, plus I could never get VolCare to setup to levels that I liked.

MotionApps also has a util called mTools, that allows you some modification of speakerphone and call volumes... at this point, the Categories profiles in mRing is working well, and all my custom mp3s are playing normally on my Treo680.

Your experience may be different, but it's good to know that there are options!

I find that the free program "HandyShopper - English v3.0.4" is fantastic for anything I need to keep a running, updated list of. It allows an extreme amount of information for each item, list, and category. It also keeps totals, and will let you know what, when, and where you need more.

I have an unlocked Centro-1.01-ATT Firmware G.R01.12 PalmOS 5.4.9 powered by Access. I, up to last week, had like 16mb of free cache, now I only have 13?! I said WTF!!! I only installed a few bibles and transfer them to my SD Card, so why did my cache got affected?!

So, I have this question, how can you increase your cache? I have a friend, and he showed me his centro and I saw he had like 28mb of cache. WTF!!!! Again.... Didn't have the time to ask how he did it, but does anybody know how to safely do it, that can guide me through how to, or guide to some place I can find the info on how to do it?

There was a way through custom roms but it was on a treo 650. Don't know if you can do it with the centro. But anyway, remember there are two memory different centros out there, theres a new one that has 128 of memory, I'm guessing it is the palm device with the most dbcache which can easily be 28 mb. Is it lime or rose? I know the new ones came out with does colors, they never came to Europe (gsm unlock), I think they are on sprint

"no longer registered" - This means that one of the last crashes you got corrupted your save preference file. Hope you've got a backup?

In the future if you have Reset Doctor it will make sure you will never have a corrupted file

If you are familiar with spreadsheet programs, you could do all of this with Documents to Go. The Excel spreadsheet program in DTG will do all of this and more. It is very customizable and you can set up the spreadsheet any way you want so it will display the info the way you want. Download from here:

Ive noticed when opening apps with tealos, it seems a bit slower. Ive also gotten alot more resets with it. And some of those resets have caused some apps codes to unregister. i have reset doctor so that takes care of the unregistered apps.

I thought it lighten everyone's day with a ridiculous palm application, but one which entertains my small kids to no end using my palm tx.

First, I bought an external bud microphone for my palm tx.

Some of you palm tx users may not have realized yet (it took me a while) but the tx has all the internal electronic capability of having sound recording, it's just that palm never gave it one, for whatever reason, and does not even make an externakl one for it, and you have to go to enterprising third parties. So if you want one (the applications are endless--I use it for a guitar tuner app, for PAR PRo voive recorder, voip, anything) check out where I bought mine for about $20 and very fast delivery: http://home.earthlink.net/~gmayhak/catalog.html

Then, I downloaded a free "experimental" app called vDub from Dmitry Grinberg's palmpowerups site, which basically simultaneously sends out the palms speaker an amplified version of what came in the mic:http://www.palmpowerups.com/downloads.php?cat_id=2&rowstart=30

So ultimately, when I hook up the palm (either by mic cord, or bluetooth) to my 1000 watt speakers in my basement, any little giggle, burp, or "monster noise" my little ones make into the mike goes to the speakers, and through the magic of feedback, reenters the mike, and back out again in a psychedelic distortion loop at amazing decibels. Of course, you gotta control it, so things don't get out of hand. Also works nicely with the element of surprise, waiting out of sight with the tx till some unsuspecting victim passes the speakers unawares...

It worked for me...

but now the keygen does not run anymore :confused:

Well, either way, I got Reset Doctor for the future, and I've uninstalled Teal OS, I think just too many apps. were there. I will just have to manually go back and re-register everything, which shouldn't be too hard. Thanks for the info about Reset Doctor.

About 3 weeks ago I had a system crash 'Fatal Exception' while running the Web according to Reset Doctor and my card now won't read. Card Info ID's the card but the size states 'none'. I've tried a soft reset and a warm reset to no avail; I'd like to avoid a hard reset if possible and from what I've read that's not likely to do it. I've inserted other ******* cards and those aren't recognized either and all the cards can be read from my laptop. When inserted into the phone there is no beep; only a beep when it comes out. Does anybody have any ideas as to what I can try? I'm totally frustrated! It's been working flawlessly for well over 2 years and then this.

What you need to do is insert the card back into your laptop, make a backup of all the files on your sd onto your laptop, then format your sd card. That should fix the problem.

Yep, you may be right on that... I'll find out for you, cause I can't really remember; he had it in a sylicone case.

But it really got me envious, because sometimes my dbcache gets to like 600kb, this is when I have to flush it manually.

rule are:
1 . extract "GarminMobileXTforPalm_50010p.exe" into u PC (this file i download from " http://www8.garmin.com/software/GarminMobileXTforPalm_50010p.exe ).
2 . you must have card reader to extract the file into the memory card .
3 . input the memory to u card reader run the file 'setup.exe' after the "rule number 1" ..select the removable an install it..
4 . put back to u device, an comman show up click yes.. done.
5 . u must have 2 map .. base map and map for your own country, u can fine in http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=632595 the hole base map it's same its can be use for PDA, Symbian, PALM and download to u own country.
6 . copy all map into memory card /garmin/.. put in there..

UNLOCKING GARMIN XT MOBILE
*for The BASE MAP
1) Open application on mobile
2) Launch garmin, go to tool, Settings -> About write CArd ID/UnIT ID

7) Rename new.txt file to XXX.unl (be careful extension must be .unl not txt) XXX: is the name you selected for the map to unlock sample (gmapsupp.unl)
8) Copy the gmapsupp.unl file to same directory as the map (e/garmin folder)

Hi.
My Treo 650 has this strange problem of suddenly waking up and not recognising my SD card. Which is deeply disturbing. My usual solutions are to reset in various combinations -warm,soft,warm,soft,warm,restore NVBackup, soft,etc,etc. Most times somewhere down the line it all comes back to normal. But actually have no idea why this occurs. Esp when I warm reset, the card is seen but if I soft reset it is not. Any idea why this is so? I assume it is because of some application which creates error during startup. I installed CleanStart but don't know what I should/ should not check/uncheck. Will this help me?

I have seen this problem being caused by the coincidence of two otherwise safe programs: PowerHero and RescoLock.
It happened to me and somebody else according to Hobbyist forums.

I know neither one has st to do with the SD card, hovewer disabling RLock solved the problem. Strange but true

I'm sure having an issue with my Centro (Sprint) not recognizing my SD card (4gb *******). About 3 weeks ago I had a system crash 'Fatal Exception' while running the Web according to Reset Doctor and my card now won't read. Card Info ID's the card but the size states 'none'. I've tried a soft reset and a warm reset to no avail; I'd like to avoid a hard reset if possible and from what I've read that's not likely to do it. I've inserted other ******* cards and those aren't recognized either and all the cards can be read from my laptop. When inserted into the phone there is no beep; only a beep when it comes out. Does anybody have any ideas as to what I can try? I'm totally frustrated! It's been working flawlessly for well over 2 years and then this.

Great app, i never heard of something like that for palm. There are theif apps, like blue pill and butler, and there are others but with all that features, never! I also have a symbian phone but its the new touch Nokia 5800, hope they have that app for this version.

Oh never heard a way to convert sis to prc. But you can run prc on a symbian styletap. Just got to get around the stupid certificate system nokias has

I just tested the iambic keygen, the same one that is already here in this site, and it worked just fine. I followed the steps to use the keygen and it generated the serial I needed to unlock agendus 13 and use it at its full capacity.

I have regged my TealOS using teh KeyGen. To update, I first exit TealOS.
After I download the unpatched file, unzip it and transfer it to a folder on my card (using CardReader), use FileZ to delete only the existing file called TealOS from my the Internal Memory of the Treo650, copy the downloaded file from its location on my Storage Card to the internal Memory, exit FileZ and from default Launcher run TealOS - I am updated. That maybe a roundabout way, no doubt, but its one I am comfortable with.

Just my way....

you can install new version over the older version it will overwrite and repalce the older version.

Serial usally works with newer version unles they come up with major changes then it might ask for new serial but on most cases old serial will work 1.xx serial will work with all 1.xx version software. now if it goes to 2.xx then it may or may not work. best way to find out is try it...

The AW kg crashes several Palm PDAs. Best bet is to either post your HSID & the AW game you want OR use a simulator such as the Garnet.

Yeah, I figured it was something like that but couldn't wait to try it myself; I know it sounds lazy but I was just wondering if somebody else has tried it and wouldn't mind to save me a few minutes.

And concerning backing up stuff; you don't have to mention it. RscBackup Pro and Reset Doctor are always active. They've saved me several times; especially when I had this game "CrossNums", which reset my phone on every use. This game would just wipe clean all my preferences and settings. Then I did not know about Reset Doctor, so what I had to do was to hard reset and do a full restore. But now I know better, thanks to you guys... :D;)

If I am not mistaken it was you and r_castro that gave me the advice to use a backup utility on my device; that it would come in handy one of these days. And so said, so done... It did.

So my advice to everyone is to use a backup utility of your choice. The most popular ones are Resco Backup Pro and NvBackup. It is handy when you are away from a computer, your sync cable. And I think it is even better than a synced restore, given that some files wouldn't have the "Backup" option checked, it means that some files wouldn't be backed up. That's when these utilities fill-in the gaps.

I am curious about something. Have you tried this application? If so what do you think? I've been trying the past few betas you've patched on my centro, but it is a bit slow for me and it has reset my device a few times when I get a bit impatient when trying to speed it up. Some people say the app stabilizes eventrually.

I was waiting till most of the bugs would be resolved, but I couldn't wait. What do you think if you've tried it?

I totally agree with you, it's much faster as well. I don't have that plug-in, I only have TAKEphONe and use the default bar and I can still use takephone with this app. So its cool! (Although TakePhone already takes long to load without TealOS, just imagine now with app.

I did. However, I also tested out the file I directed you towards which does work as a full copy. It doesn't ask for the reg. code on any of the Palms I've tried. :D

Seems Palmer4Life may may tried to original file, then copied over with the crack & the PDA is still seeing something from the original, I don't know. But the crack works...

I don't know if you do this but everytime i install a new app i always make a backup of my current working phone..

so if something happens or if there is a conflict or corrupt pdb files it will crash your phone.....

so i suggest go back to the last 2 apps you install and remove one by one see what is causing it....

or try to restore back-up before you had this problem.....

I used tealos on my 650 for 2 weeks or so. Had at least 4 resets a day! I got rid of it and no more resets. Its too bad, I liked that app!

Both applications boost speaker output. Try disable one of them and/or send it to card using zlauncher and test it.

Let us know the results. My input would be, why do you need Volume Care if you have Phone Technician. Plus, you have a Centro, these phones are quite loud already - Don't overload you phone with something which may not be necessary; you'll have a happier Centro :D. This is just my view.

If you allow me to share a little story so as to demonstrate how much I love takephone... I had this game, the best, I've ever had, I really liked this game (more than Bike or Die, and I really like this game too :cool:). Anyways, it was creating lots of trouble and after many workarounds, investigations and several advices, my friends and I concluded that the problems was a conflict between that game and either (or a combination of) Butler, powerhero and takephone. I uninstalled the first two. And guess what? I still had resets, so... takephone seemed to have the culprit. So, I faced the dilema, "to be [with my lovely game], or not to be [with takephone]". I chose the latter.

I have TealOS on my centro, and indeed it gives me a few resets (hopefully it's not becuase of takephone, cuase I will face another dilema). But I think I would just wait for a final version of Teal, until all bugs have been fixed...

I use callfilter and my suggestion is lock it in memory with resco locker.

About not turning on, i had similiar prob in the past but i was keyguardExt. Do you use any keyguard app? if so try disabling it or uninstall and see if things get better.

if its to not have tabs: goto preferences, select the general tab, than set tab mode to none.

if its do hide apps in tabs, there is a app for that (hides specific apps) but this is what i do, i create a tab, you can call it "private tab", and move all the apps you what hidden in to that tab, than go to that tabs proprieties and in the general tab, check the hide check box. Now whenever you what to hide or unhide, just press menu + h (or just go to the menu tab and select show/hide hidden tabs)

I use takephone on my Treo 650 for years and never had problems. I have tested out tealOS but like i have said to the developer, I have 300 apps and tealOS just wants to scan every time when i goto the menu or reenter the app. TealOS is cool but for me it still needs some work. The indexing zlauncher and initiate or other popular launcher are much more mature than tealOS.

Right on pal! I totally agree. TealOS needs to be more robust; the user interface and clocking sequence still is not that efficient. Even by overclocking the app still runs slow when trying to scan so many applications.

This worked like a charm now -- so I uninstalled as you said and did the upgrades one at a time from version 3.0 something up to 4.x and then to 5.0.

I appreciate it -- great to have my music back on my phone for traveling.

yes there is a program called FontSmoother which can be found in this forum. Regarding a RSS reader I would suggest Resco News. You can use the Resco_App kg found in this forum to generate a code.

To change the font you need fontsmoother and for RSS, I use Resco News but there many others.

Well most people still prefer and have WinXP. I personally not ready yet for Vista. To me vista is a sucky operating system and the worst release Microsoft has ever had. But that's just me, my new laptop came with Vista and I dumped the OS and loaded XP, it is more stable, efficient, less buggy and way faster; I think this is the result of like 8 years of microsoft patches and fixes. I heard Microsoft will release a new OS to replace vista some time soon in the future; that just tells you what kind of operating system and its success vista is and has had.

On the other matters of sharing internet from pc to pda, I think it's gonna be a toughy one to find a utility to do this via cable. A computer can receive internet via USB (this can be seen when you get those modems with USB/coaxial or network cable). However, I am not an IT expert, probably r_castro or KT can assist us on this, becuase I haven't to date heard of a way to share internet capability out of the pc's usb ports (remember the sync cable is connected to the usb port).

The bluetooth works perfectly, most computers by default have a factory-included BT device or you can purchase one for like US15 or 20 bucks.

The setting terminology remains the same for any operating system, so give it a try, I don't have Vista as I said, so I cannot test it for you guys, but if there is anything different you need to follow, please let us know.

Well to save someone else the headache...after crashing....having problems hotsyncing apps to my SD card.(problems I thought were Zlauncher related)...and other obscure things I finally found the problem.

Apparently a Kingston miniSD HC is not 100% compatible with the Treo 755p. I bought two on woot, and tried each one and reformated each in the treo with the same results. I finally put in an old card I had from my camera which isn't HC but is 4 gigs and all the problems went away. Hope this saves someone else the trouble.

Well a little off topic for a palm forum, but Vista SUX. You can download Windows 7 beta version for free and try it out from microsofts site. Vista is basically what Windows ME was before XP came out. I think it is much more backward compatible with XP software, unlike Vista (for your palm sync and such). It will be released later this year and it is WAY faster than Vista without needing a gig of ram.;)

Thanks. Just a doubt - Is the 755 SDHC compatible? My 650 needed a ROM upgrade ti be able to access SDHC cards. Just curious...
