Now whenever I open it I get a message box that says "error opening lisence database" and then it lets me use the app. So I am going to guess that is a good thing and that it actually worked this time. ok this will 100% work with any nags follow instruction

1. install MTBpda-Install.prc run the app and exit
2. install NSBRuntime.patched.prc
3. install pda.patched.pdb

I just purchased Kinoma 4ex and now looking for a database full of cool streams. I have looked at the three that I found here but all three have a lot of what seem to be dead links. Am I doing something wrong or are the links really dead?

I did find Orb and think that has to be the coolest thing that I have on my Centro at the moment.... I can watch anything that I have on my home computer ANYWHERE with my centro using Kinoma! WOW!!

well i use a program called Power Run its good for games that can only be installed on ram with that program the games are allowed to be installed on the sd card, but a search on the forum and there is another called LinkStart that have a wider variety of programs so used the search buttom to find in the forum...

I use zlauncher which allows you to move and run apps from the card (apps don't really run from the card but the app is moved to ram to run, I don't know of any app that will run directly from the card, it must be moved to ram) but if the app NEEDS to be in ram to run then these kind of apps won't solve your problem. You might try using zlauncher or similar app to move some of your other apps out of ram to clear space so that truevoice will have enough memory. Don't know if you'll be able to clear up enough memory though. Good Luck.

I followed info in the thread stating to change pdanet.exe to pdanetold.exe and then copied the cracked pdanet.exe to that folder c:/programfiles/pdanet 4.12 and I get the error message "usb man.exe not found in program files/common files directory.

PdaNet has some bugs that need to be worked out...... You can use USB Modem..... It is more stable and much faster than pdanet.....Click the link below and make sure you read the UG (User Guide) to setup the connection between your device and your computer......

Just to inform everyone here. The SN provided here DOES NOT work: even with MutiUserHack, it will fail 100%. Bhajis Loops is a great program to kill some time with, but this forum lacks any other working copy, keygen or serial. Ergo, I have searched and found a patched version which is working nicely for me (so far, haven't quite tested all of the features yet...). I have uploaded to rapidshare.

Note: I uploaded just the patched program file. In order to get the plugins and enable all of the bells and whistles you will need to visit the main website and download the trial version. Install the patched program file instead of instead of the one in downloaded .zip and then install all of the extra databases from the trial.

You can't. Screensavers are nice but useless, you can only specify when they turn on and off. And they do it even when the device is turned off, so it is very good to drain the batery very soon. They definitely need new SS manager, but nobody did it :(

The best for me should be the behaviour like on the desktop pc.

When I purchased Classic the website asked for the registration/serial # of my Pre, and I provided it. I'm uncertain if the app is now tied to the r/s (like a hotsync ID) or, now, even traceable back to the original purchaser because of the r/s?


Too many unknowns for me to want to upload the classic here.

Word of advise... d/l classic in "Try me" mode.... Regrettably, I should have done that first.

Hmn, sorry about that. If you bought your device in Europe you may already have a multilingual ROM, which means you could use this: http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/localize.shtml. If you do not, you could still technically use that, you would just have to download and separately install the overlay files for French (however I do not know where you can obtain these). Barring the use of some app like this, I believe the only way to localize your device to another language is download the ROM image to a computer, mess with it there and then re-flash it to your device (which is a very tedious process).

There seems to be no simple way as the default language on your Treo may be set to English. May I suggest trying to modify or customise your ROM and while doing so remove all other localisation and language files except French. That MAY work. Please read all documentation available or necessary before your customise your ROM.

No you cannot..... you may want to simulate webos on your centro by using tealos.......

Yeah..I use TealOS...that's why I'm so hyped about the pre..lol..

I guess my beef with sprint is more that I've been with them for like 7 years, and have never once gotten to use the 150 dollar rebate...cuz I'm always making changes too soon. I would think that they would be better with current customers..but whatever. I'll have one eventually..

I got it the first time around. A simple one will be to use Palm's Default Menu to move to card. Else you can use FileZ or FileProg to move the specific software to the SD Card. Or you can use LinkStart or PowerRun to get the same effect by doing something similar.

Why are you so unpleased with the Palm Pre? I am just curious as I have not gone that route yet, but am eagerly waiting for one.

Also, kingtyce and the many others -- will there be a new thread started for the Palm Pre? I figure with the new WebOS that it will be necessary for the great minds in here to also help us dependent ones on that device (as I assume a lot of people here will probably be making that plunge).

Lastly, I am working on getting the software developer kit for the Palm Pre too, so if anyone is interested in that please do let me know so I can ensure those of you who do want it get it as soon as I get it (assuming it's not already in someone else's hands already).

Just doesn't seem very user friendly to me. It is a let down because I was waiting so long for this and it's not all that it was cracked up to be. I dont think the cost of it is that bad but the phone has some revisions that must take place if it wants to be the IPhone killer it was set out to be.

My first suggestion is to uninstall teal desktop and restart your pc.......then reinstall teal desktop.......see if that resolves your problem....

Still no go.
Uninstalled TD and TealInfo. Turned off memory resident programs on Palm. Did a soft reset on the Palm. Restarted the computer. Went to Palm dir and removed archived and backed up files belonging to TD, including theme and font files. Also checked the sdCard for files. Turned off my security software. Installed TD 1.24. Same problem.

Must be some settings hidden/left behind on internal memory after the uninstall. Any other ideas?

Just in case it could help someone in the future, I had a problem after a phone crash where treo launcher (i.e. lnchr) started without my wallpaper and without showing the calendar. I could re-enable the wallpaper, but the calendar wouldn't come back. Reinstalling didn't work, but uninstalling then reinstalling worked, and it saved my choice of wallpaper (it loaded automatically when I started the launcher again).

cliffnotes: uninstall then reinstall treo launcher if the calendar won't show up for you.

PowerReg scheduler is registration software provided by Leader Technologies to Palm One. Their FAQ at http://www.leadertech.com/?pg=faq#privacy_policy is pretty straight forward and upfront. If don't want to register your Palm you can opt out. Or you can quarantine the software with your anitspyware for 14 days until the .exe expires.

Superwaj is right. What made me stick to PalmOS so many years (since 1997) was the software. I have a Nokia 5800 it was the first touch phone for the symbian, at first i hated it, now that software is coming out its getting better every time (i carry a palm treo 650 anf nokia 5800). What I mean is (I'm a developer), Palm webOS's best feature is its developer kit, this is were it shines. I will bet that in 2 months from now you will see great apps, its to easy to make Palm WebOS apps. Enovation isn't just hardware (thats were nokia shines) its software too (this is were Apple enovated and PalmOS resisted so long and still has software that no other platform has or so well made, for exemple "textplus"). I think Palm is on the right track, still it could of created a better hardware feature set, but its not bad, but it has one or maybe the best developer kit. Hell its all done on top of a browser, its CSS and HTML and Javascript, also most any kid knows this.

After I installed it everything worked fine for a while but then when I tried to use Audio Gateway again all I would get on my headset and external speaker is a loud squeal. I had to do a soft reset to get rid of the squeal plus Audio Gateway reported an error code of 5. I then installed ptunes 5.0 and had the same problem. I have tried Audio Gateway 1.22 and 1.25 but have the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, disabling MUH did not solve the problem. I did what you did. I went back to ptunes 4.07 (BTW, I found it online) and Audio Gateway 1.22 and things seem to be working ok so far. Hopefully, it continues to work. Thanks for your input.

Somebody remember MinuteMinder on treo600? That ancient and useful program that beep just before each minute or 10 minutes during a call ? Natcho, the developer, apparently it left the project on 2004 and this program never run on 650.

I'm hoping that, in the near future, there will be a webos category to search for apps that kingtyce and co. have "tweaked".
I have a pre now. Seriously 3rd party app lacking!! I especially need a "splash ID" sort of app soon!!!

I bought motionapps classic.... rather disappointing imo.

well guys i thinks this is my last post in here... I was with my girlfirend and her dad we were going to the church, its really near from home, so we decided to go walking as we were walking i saw two guys in a motorcycle but i did not put much attention to that, as we walk the guys stop and they put out a gun so i gave them my phone. How are you going to get the "tweaked" games ONTO the pre? I was told that the only way was to download them from the app store.

Seems that if you have classic on the pre you should be able to use the cardreader app that is on this forum to transfer files from the PC to the palm. Try it.

Sorry to hear this, you did the right thing. I've been in that position and we never know if its for real (real gun). I would suggest to try the local flee markets, you may have luck and buy it back for a cheap price. They will not be able to do much with it without a charger and Palm chargers out of the US isn't easy to find.

Still no go.
Uninstalled TD and TealInfo. Turned off memory resident programs on Palm. Did a soft reset on the Palm. Restarted the computer. Went to Palm dir and removed archived and backed up files belonging to TD, including theme and font files. Also checked the sdCard for files. Turned off my security software. Installed TD 1.24. Same problem.

Must be some settings hidden/left behind on internal memory after the uninstall. Any other ideas?

Still no go people. It seems to be that it's something integrated into the palm configs. When TD is installed now, when I do the menu command ('/') the palm crashes. When I uninstall TD, I can bring up the menu bar fine. TD still cannot find the SD card when it is running. Not even with a forced full scan.

Anyone know where the Palm OS saves any of it's application settings? I've already tried backing up and replacing psysLaunchDB.pdb. Nothin.

If I do a soft or hard reset it works normal again for some time, then randomly it will occur. I suspect some kind of software bug may be responsible. This was the same issue I was having while using TealOS. Currently not using TealOS anymore.

Ive had this problem for quite some time withmy 650. I thought tealos was the culprit as well. had lots of resets from it. I uninstalled it and I was still having the problems. I have butler on my treo with butlers keyguard enabled (swipe the bar to the side to unlock). I decided to disable their keyguard. Tealos works fine now. And my phone doesnt have that problem as much with hittin the red button and the phone not waking up. It used to be much more common but ever since i disabled the keyguards its pretty good now.

My pre is coming today so im happy like a pig in doodie, although Im not sure why pigs would be happy in that :)

When I have installed only the appz that come from factory and power hero, the estimated time for the battery to last is like 11 days. However; when i start installing appz the time is reduced to 7 days, which is fine. The problem happens when i don't install anything else and suddenly i have to charge my phone twice a day. i do not comprehend the reason why such thing happens, especially when everything is fine and the time is reduced without installing anything. i've done so many hard resets, but the problem remains, works fine for some days and then the issue strikes back. Perhaps it's an app that is draining the power, could it be teal os? I have installed only easynotes, ewallet, docs 11, teal os, belltime, power hero and mini tones, along with the bundle that comes with the centro. I'm sorry for such a long post, but perhaps with a full detail explanation someone might have an idea of what is going on. Thanks a lot in advance.

Yes some hopes can make that happen, for me it was a cracked version of pxa clocker, the freeware doesn't happen. KeyguardExt would also make it not wake up also. Mostly any app that plays with the wakeup notification can screw up your palm. Install Palm Internals and check the wake up notification and just uninstall or disable does apps one by one and you may find the app thats troubling you.

Just remember treoguard also disables buttons when palm is turned off. And maybe your palm after a reset works because the app wasn't started yet because you may be using uncache or cleanstart, for example.

lots of things can drain your phone, for example callrec, ever call is recorded. Whether apps that update in the background, mail apps, etc... Install Palm Internals and post your notifications here so we can help. Mostly the hehe group are that ones that are always working in the background.

Hello guys, does anybody has Profeo MinuteMinder v0.4.2 (ProfeoMM.prc)? It is a free app that minds you with a beep every minute during a call to gain more control of call time. I tried installing it on my Treo 650 but it then says Error, that this app only works on Treos. Weird, mine is a treo. Anybody has it working?

Also, does somebody know or has Address XT and Manage XT? or something similar for contacts management?

Finally got everything straightened out. If anyone is interested, here's what I did.

-Backed up everything with RscBackup+
-Flattened the Palm
-Restored from RscBackup+

This removed the settings I couldn't find, stored somewhere in the Palm's plethora of settings and hidden files. Then, installed TealInfo from their website (just to be safe) and then installed this patched version of TealInfo 4.40...

(I'd upload it but the forum won't let me. Ugh. :rolleyes: Sorry.)

I am still having the same problem with ptunes and audio gateway. I've tried ptunes 5.0 and audio gateway 1.25 then reverted back to ptunes 4.07 and audio gateway 1.22 but am still having the problem. Everything will work for a couple of times and then when I try to use these apps I get a loud squeal in my bluetooth headset or on the external speaker if it is selected. The only way to eliminated it is to reset my 755p. Sometimes a warm reset will solve the problem temporarily but it inevitably comes back. Anyone else (I know r_castro had the problem) have this same problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sadly it can only be powerhero or tealOS. It most be some option you have turned on. Maybe powerhero has some analise feature that is to agresive, maybe tealOS has a feature that is always checking something

Hey guys, thanks for all the help and apps you've provided me through the years.
I got two questions, first I installed opera on my treo 650 and even though it runs and lets me see some websites when I try to change the view to mobile view or to change anything it resets. I erased it from the palm and card, along with the java software and it still does the same thing. what should I do, this was the best browser I ever got to use and ran well as long as it worked. is there a better browser? or what can I do to fix this.

second, I have a few apps, and have been looking to get more, but I want to know what is the best launcher out there for the treo 650? I used cardlauncher a loooooong time ago, but it game me some issues. what do you guys advise?

The app I use for the phone is the default one, the one preinstalled in the device. I really don't know what MytreoGo does, perhaps it is the app that came with the phone called "my centro".

Hello Everyone...

I'm seeking assistance with using the patched version of PDAReach v1.54 that I downloaded from this site. When I attempt to open the file that was downloaded i get an error message! Unfortunately I can't remember exactly was it says since I'm not home but it indicates that it's mising a specific file!

I downloaded the trial version... found the file within it and attempted to copy it to the zipfile ofthe patched version but that didn't work either! I then tried deleting the PDAReach .exe file of the trial version and replacing it with the patched .exe file version but that didn't work either! I'm totally loss!

Please... can someone explain to me how to get the patched version of PDAReach V1.54 working?

Hey guys, thanks for all the help and apps you've provided me through the years.
I got two questions, first I installed opera on my treo 650 and even though it runs and lets me see some websites when I try to change the view to mobile view or to change anything it resets. I erased it from the palm and card, along with the java software and it still does the same thing. what should I do, this was the best browser I ever got to use and ran well as long as it worked. is there a better browser? or what can I do to fix this.

second, I have a few apps, and have been looking to get more, but I want to know what is the best launcher out there for the treo 650? I used cardlauncher a loooooong time ago, but it game me some issues. what do you guys advise?

For me the best launcher is zlauncher. Operamin is much more stable in mobile mode, not all sites can be seen in normal mode, it will say out of memory. I install my operamini and do one navegation, than with zlauncher i move it to the card so I stays that way all the time (operamini creats tmp files that make it unstable) than i use vacoom mode of uninstall manager to clean tmp files that opera mini creates

Hi guys,
this last month I've been catching uo reading this forum (about 300 pages) because my wife geve a Treo 750 (WM) so I had my 650 away for about 5 months...BUT after all this time I realized I love PALM OS.
About a month ago her phone broke so I (generously) geve her my Treo 750

So I did a Hard Reset to my 650 and reintalled all my apps...It's now back to life and tunned up.

Love this forum and I'll be around again.

this type of keygen works just that, install the keygen into your palm then run and try reg whit any number and lets you see you realy reg code then you wrote down and uninstall the keygen with uninstall manager or deleted manually and now you install the original (unpatch or uncrack) software and introduce your realy reg code.

Has anyone successfully used the fw prog "Preference Remover" (http://miska.borec.cz/prrm.en.php)? Elsewhere on the net I've read stuff that suggests it should work with palm pdas (I have a Centro), but the few references I've managed to trace in this forum seem to be negative, without giving details.
I've not even been able to install it - it freezes my hotsync prog every time. Thanks for any responses.

Then run the installer
MoviTV_Installer.prc

After you have installed the application (not run)
copied into the RAM application from our single SD
MobiTV.prc

If we proceed in this way the application would have to run MobiTV and appear as registered.
