Hello all, I have been reading this thread for 2 days.. Finally done..
I would like to thank you for all the files, like so many others, I had no idea that there was so much for the palm os.. I just got a treo 650 from alltel and am having some great fun with it now that I found this thread.
Thanks so much.

There are a few things that I am confused about.. I am a total noob so please be kind.

1. I read about people using MUH but I have not tried. What are the steps I would take to make virtual pool work? It asks for the reg code and I put the one in above and it tells me NO! lol. Will the MUH change me to MATT? and what about my other programs? will they be able to run? Im lost, sorry. _ hmmm with this i would be lying if i answered as I do not have a clue..:confused:

2. I find files that say xxxx.prc and xxxxpatched.prc. I dont know what I did but I got one to work(voicerec). I am still confused on how to go about installing these double name things.. Do I hotsync the original and install then hotsync the patched.prc or is it vise versa? Or do I hotsync them both at the same time and run one after the other? - basically you sync the "patched' file and it will work unless of course when you click on the game you want to play it says you need the unpatched one. usually i just install the patched file and the pdb files if there are any and i have myself an unloacked (or cracked) fantastic software, thanks to all the fantastic giving people here :)

3. Can I install all these appz to my card? is there a way to tell if they need to be installed in the palms memory itself? - yes MOST games (applications) can be installed in the card (thats what i do actually) if and when it should be in the TREO memory when you click on the application it will say so...

4. When I get a larger capacity card, can I just copy everything that is on my existing card to the new one via pc card reader? And will everything work the same afterwards? - this is also what i do i just drag all the files from one card to the other, it only does not work with Resco back up (as it will ask for the specific card you put the back up files in).

Again thank you for all the programs and help. And one day if I get the hang of things(I should being that I have a 2 year contract with this phone) I will contribute like so many of you do.

The NesEm from early post, I've downloaded it and it has the same issues as the early post every time I open it, it closes, I have a Palm TX with OS 5 so it should work. So if anybody wants to upload a better one please do

i am sorry for the heated post, but instead of saying "use the search function" blah blah bs... why dont you guide those of us who are lost.
i have been using the forums all my life, and i am well aware of the search function - and as such i have found a few posts by wheelie etc where the callrec was included, supposedly with the 'keygen' .......... riggggggggggggght!!!
but it does NOT work.
now the smart ones amongst you, have any input as to what to do?
if not, then can a genius who loves the phrase "use the search function" put a serial number for callrec 4.0 here in the forum? PLEASE.

You should delete callrec from your device and then run the keygen from your device.. write it down and then delete the keygen,, install callrec 4.0 again on device and use the serial you wrote down..
I dont know how these peeps do it but give me your sync name and I will try to give you a serial...

i'll do as you have advised, hoping it'd work. the method i use to install progs on my treo is: i copy the .prc files to my sd card, and then just pop that in my phone and install that way, i do NEVER use the hotsync method.

On a side note..

While it is very nice to have all these wonderful programs, do we really need it all?
What I am saying is, I install a cracked program that I find here and see how I like it.. Then usually end up deleting it and install a ton others and do the same.. There are only a handfull of apps that I really NEED.
What we are doing here is not too savvy, We find programs here and try them here and some like them and continue using them and others do the delete thing..
I would like to suggest that we at least try to visit the softwares website and download the demos from there.. So they know there is at least SOME interest...
I have purchased docstogo9(well upgrade) after I tried it here. Even though I had a full woking copy for free.

OK thats enouph, I hope I got my point across.. Now I will STFU.:p:cool:

No need for a serial. Use the patched verison out of this thread. Then you can register with any seerial you like. After that you can install the newest version, the registration remains intact.

If you would have used the search function, you would have found the keygen BlindDude provided. Why is it so difficult to search?? You even dindn't explain you problem! How should we know what you want????????? You asked for a crack etc. I said use search, so where is your problem?

Perhaps that odd looking "Search This Thread" thing at the top could have been useful? The reason we SCREAM ABOUT IT SO MUCH is because it is pretty irritating to feel like the time we take to search for you is less important than the time it would have taken you to search yourself.

Err... eh... of course, I just noticed the Arvale link seems to be dead...

This WORKED for me! I uninstalled CallRec 4 with Uninstaller, and reinstalled via a hotsync. When i went to register the patched CallRec I filled the space with a bunch of 1's and when I clicked ok it spit out my registration code. I uninstalled and the re-hotsynced the non patched CallRec 4.prc and input the code. It all works like a charm. THANKS EVERYONE!

If you REALLY want to know, I'll tell you. First off, you need to know that I have the world's most boring job ever (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_Mammal_Observer). So... I thought... well, there can only be 99,999 possible combinations. I used MUH to change my HSN to Matt. The kracked dude key was greater than 50,000, so i decided to start at 50,000 and work down... 6,592 guesses later and BINGO!

I actually figured I would give up before getting the right key... and I wasn't even sure it was only limited to 5 characters... PLUS, the keyboard has alphabet characters too, so I was just hoping that only numbers were used.

Its just pure LUCK that I found a working key before getting too bored. But after all you've given us (me!), I'm glad I can give something in return.

Id like to think your job is interesting...;) thanks for your posts :)

I can not get trivial pursuit to work,, keeps telling me that it cant find question.pdb.. which is there. When I extracted the files I did notice that questions.pdb is write protected... I tried protected and unprotected with no aid stills. lol
Maybe all the file wasnt there?

edit Can someone please instruct me as to how to get tealpaint to register? It has a PSNG.pdb with it but I dont know what that is? "Personal Serial Number Generator"?

OK, I'm kind of delayed with all the posts, but I'll try to get as much as possible whithin the next 24 hours (well, I hope ;) ) About the game, try hotsyncing them toguether into your device. Sometimes if you don't do that, the database just won't be found by the progrm.

For the PSNG keygens, you need the PSNG2 program as I said before....Well, it goes in the attachment :D

Since we have so much help on here, and its a decent forum so far, i'll post this.

I don't know for sure if this is all you need, but I have NesEm without demo next to it, as I bought it about a year or so ago.

I'm hoping this is the real version. Please let me know. And if it is, I hope everyone is now satisfied :D

Also too, I have attached a key I had in the folder. I don't think you need this with the file i've attached, and I don't even know if it works. BUT just in case, it is attached.

Please try just the file first.

On a side note too... When you install a ROM, make sure it is a Palm Database File, and NOT a prc. Back on page 66 I think, I gave a link to rapidshare with 500 or so odd games, AND the ROM install too as well for those games I hadn't already converted.

Then once you install them, assuming your program is working, you will see a ram chip icon in the program, and when you click VSF, that will transfer files to your SD card. I suggest installing a few, then switching them to card, then repeating. If you don't, you'll end up running out of memory until you trasfer to card with-in the program.

is there a way to drop and get a new ip address, so that rapidshare doesnt tell u that u reached your limit

there are several ways but most of them only work if your PC is connected directly to you cable/dsl modem the simple way is open up a Command line and do IPCONFIG /RELEASE then /RENEW that works sometime and you have to clean your IE cache but the best way is to use a proxy generator program that redirects your ip to rapidshare

Weird. Only thing I can suggest is to download the demo from the website and see if it does the same thing on that device.

Actually.... I think I have the demo from the site.

If it does work, then we will know its the other one that is the problem.

I have tom tom 5 navi on my 700p with a bluetooth gps reciever, that honestly the maps look better to me.

Can someone please post a full version of NesEm v1.9? Thank you.....

I don't know for sure if this is all you need, but I have NesEm without demo next to it, as I bought it about a year or so ago.

I'm hoping this is the real version. Please let me know. And if it is, I hope everyone is now satisfied :D

Also too, I have attached a key I had in the folder. I don't think you need this with the file i've attached, and I don't even know if it works. BUT just in case, it is attached.

Well, I have tried in more ways than you can imagine.. First 3 tries were exactally like your instructions,, then I tried other things too.. I still get the flash.
I do appreciate the howto.txt in the compressed file.. thanks.
Only thing that wasnt 100% clear was the copying of the NesEm.prc to RAM
Heres what I did.
1 Hotsynced Nesemdemo-palm and tm-nesem to ram
2 ran nesemdemo and wrote down #1 and #2
3 exited demo and hotsynced nesem.prc to ram
4 ran tm-nesem and entered my numbers I wrote down, clicked register.. exited and then deleted
5 ran nesem and watched it flash in front of me.

3 copied nesem.prc from my pc to my SD card, then used palm launcher to try to copy to ram but it was LOCKED. then I opened zlauncher and copied to ram with that. Then proceeded with step 4..

And so forth.. I may be doing something wrong still yet? If it looks like I did it correctly, I will just give up on this... At least I can load EXCITE BIKE!!! Thats the only reason I wanted this nesem... well ROBOTRON too but there is no way to get 2 joysticks going at once... Ahh the good ole days..

Ok, well I went thru all 124 pages and pretty much every post, took me 9 hours straight to do it, but I got it done. Was kind of upset after while, found 3-4 programs that I recently paid $20-$40 for. But oh well, least now I know where to go from now on. Unless it is a REALLY nice app, then I will pay for it to help the developers (they got to eat too).

Now if I could just get the streaming video on Kinoma to actually stream and not be 95% choppy. MobiTV has a nice demo, video streams almost perfect (5% choppy) but I haven't seen any patches for it on here yet. Maybe one day.

Here is a file as well. I haven't checked to see if it works since I already have NesEm on my palm, but this one may not need cracking. Could be a demo, or could be the full version.

See what happens.

And if it doesn't work, try wheelies method since that is how you actually go about it in the first place when you purchase it. (Close anyway)

Another GB emulator previously posted is Firestorm, this is good as it also emulates GBA games. I'll upload it again for you though

firestorm resets my treo everytime i run it. after getting past the start screen. that and it does not let me use my 5-way pad as the directions. nesem is setup waaay better so im hoping that the gbulator is as good quality as the nesem. thanks.

A good alternative if anyone might be interested is www.eggdisk.com, they have 6gig of space, 150meg file limit, 20 or 30gig bandwidth a month (maybe more, cant remember). Also have public and private areas for your uploads. :)

Wow, please be more specific next time, You mean Wine Enthusiast Guide in page #66.....Well yes, when you get a UserName with serial you have to use MultiUserHack to change your UserName in that specific app. But Quickstang gave a patched version before me (he claims he bet me but I'd like to call it even :D ) This is the link he gave...

I guess the only emulator that I will be able to use is Frodo, the commodore 64 one.. Even though I dont have any roms for it, I still remember a few little programs in "basic". Its fun.

I have plenty of memory on my SD card but I've been hearing that you need DOUBLE the internal memory of any rom to play any GBA games. (ie: 32 megs of internal memory to play any 16 meg roms..which is impossible because the treo only comes with 22 megs of internal memory at most!)

Please let me know if this is the case because that means I just bought a program that will never be able to play 16 meg GBA games which many roms are 16 meg!

thanks so much for simcity. it seems that i can start a city and the game dosnt crash the phone or anything, but I just cant do anything. I cant zone anything or bulldoze or anything. seems like when i tap the screen it just dosnt do anything. i found the manual and read though it but it must not work on the treo 700p. thanks though! anyone know of a version that will work with the treo?

When I install zipcad.skg.prc and go to register, it tells me that this is a partially installed copy and visit zipcad.com for full version.
Maybe I have traces of the first install I did with zipcad?

Give this a try...

LauncherX 1.2.29 keygen

Install and run on PDA. Your real serial will appear. To get out of the app, hit the Applications icon to return to the default launcher, then reinstall an unpatched version.

The Village Sim is about a tribe forced to flee their island home due to a volcano eruption; now they’re attempting to make a new home on a mysterious island filled with ruins and secrets. You start the game with five villagers, all of them untrained and rather confused. They have to get to work quickly though if they’re going to survive, and there are several specialties to choose from. Skills are broken down into five areas: Farming/Fishing (food production), Research (learning new technology), Breeding (having and raising children), Healing (curing sick villagers), and Construction (building huts and other structures). This isn’t a complicated RPG; the villagers simply learn by doing. Drag a villager to a large tree filled with fruit, and they’ll eventually learn to forage for food. Drag another villager to the ruins of a hut, and he’ll figure out how to fix it. The more then do a particular task, the higher their skill grows, and the villagers will go from “untrained” to “trainee” to “adept” to “master” as they progress through the levels.

I think I've got a (self)keygen for Chatteremail.
Use it like this:
Set everything up logon, put in a registration code, send an email. Then check the about option in the top. In the popup, it will say regcode: xxxxx. That's the code. I don't think you really need to reinstall stuff, but it's up to you. Shouldn't expire.
Hope it works, couldn't test it - I don't have a Treo :)

Edit: Don't forget to download and install original version it should work.

What version of Chattermail is this? It evidently isn't the new one because I get version mismatch errors from the component PRCs, and I'm not able to find any other versions available for download online. Can you post the full, unpatched version as well?

It is v. 1.0.6.4 (but it should be possible to update to the newest one). Did you install all files from the archive?

you can get all the guides on the zagat site, just goto it and d/l the guides from the main palm os page, you can get all the guides in one large file or only the city you want.....(I see you figured it out already)

BTW....After replaceing the .prc file with the patched one does it need a subcription# or the nag screen is off and there is no 14-day time limit. Plus do all the functions like "update" and map work with the version 5 of this program???

I'd recommend Pocket DivX Encoder or Lathe (the comertial version)...

Yeap, it might not work, check your manual or palm's site.....If your device runs on FAT32 it has to work (TX, LifeDrive).....You could format a memory card in windows to FAT32 and check if that card works in your device or it asks you to format it to FAT (FAT16)....Don't know if that would work, but it deserves a try :D

My guess is that you need UDMH (www.palmpowerups.com). Download the demo and let us know if that helps :D

When I load it up, it gives me a bunch of messages on the top of the screen, out of memory popped up in the middle also.. all I do is keep pressing the 5way nav buttons at about 1 second intervals(random buttons) and finally the game starts.. I have not had it freeze yet,, it sure acts funny at startup though. I think its allocating memory, when it fails it tries again?

hows the fix work?

I Know, Smartmovie show subtitles. But this option is strange since you need to see two subtitles at the same time : In movie (encoded in windows app) and generated by the player (bigger, better).

If I turn of "show subtitles" in option menu, I will see only one encoded with the video, but its too small !!!

There is a way to see only the bigger subtitle generated by the player ? My plan is encode the movie without subtitles and the player will read a .sub, .srt... subtitle. How to do this ? I can´t believe Smartmovie cannot do this after so many versions...:(
(update : this problem is solved... Just turn off the subtitles filter(directvobsub) on my PC. Smartmovie don't encode subtitles on the video screen, but packs the subtitles in text mode. The small subtitles was generated by the filter. And after turned off, only remains the bigger subtitle. Nice!)
And...

As far I know the software lacks zoom screen (by percentage)... The crop mode option while encoding video is useless, takes 30%(too much) of the movie area in normal mode. So let´s wait a new version.

No serial number needed, and it is fully functional; including OTA guide updates.

It seems that certain devices do not recognize (or can't find) the data files if they are installed on a card. If your device can't find the city files, you may need to run it completely from RAM.
