Yes it works......when you launch it, it shows Jackie Huang, but you can change Jackie Huang to your HSID and your serial will be displayed

Hello, I wanted to know what was the best way to get on AIM with my centro? Mundu now makes you update or something so I cant use that, and I hear (not sure though) that implus calls home or something to verify. So what are my options? The im app that comes wit the centro is Terrible imo. Thanks:)

first install mundu_im_4.1_11364_patched.prc
second install mundu_im_4.1_11364_orig.prc,
third install munduim_for_palm_4.1.0.prc

I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that the second message "..." was a mistake of double posting. Because its not nice to hurry people. Specially when they are just doing you a favour in good faith.

You should search, double search, request and then wait...

If nobody answers you, is because nobody can help you at this time.

I dont use this app, but I heard it is a very good app. So probably you should just cough up the 11 bucks it costs to have it for life and avoid all the patch bugs. Plus, on my research I found out that nobody has patched it yet, cause it is very tricky.

So... In the mean time some people are searching how to help, wait, be patient or:

1. Continue using 4.1 until resolved
2. Support the developer and pay the 11 bucks

do not delete anything from here on.
third install munduim_for_palm_4.1.0.prc, it will still say its a trial version but it will not have an end date, it will connect and log you in to yahoo messenger.
you will have the latest version 11628 not the 11364

Its been awhile since i've actually craeted a posting but I can't seem to figure out how to register Picture ID v.1.2.2 by Toysoft! I've downloaded the trial version and installed it on my Sprint centro. I used the ToySoft Keygen that gives you the option to select several of the software programs made by Toysoft. I select PictureID... My HSID shows up as: gmathews08. I enter my HSSN which is: P2P20BD7V116. I press the "generate" button and it gives me the numbers: 17465 & 03874 for my HSID Serial. It gives me 21832 & 06841 for my HSSN Serial. I've tried all four numbers and none seem to work. i tried adding five 0's ahead and behind each number and that didn't work either!

I know I'm doing something incorrect and I'll bet it's probably something simple but I'm at a loss as to what it is! Can somebody help me?

Then install the patched prc file from King. The patch will only replace the prc file on your treo.

As an additional recommendation, if you dont have it yet, look into using a backup app (my favourite is RscBackup Pro). Then backup always prior and after installing new applications on your phone. If you notice that your treo is acting weird, then you're safe, cause you only need to roll back to the back-up you performed prior to installing the trouble app.

young if you already have picture id 1.2.2 install no need to re-install just run the patch version over it it will say do you want to ovewrite say yes you are done.... ( you can register with any serial but no need as this is a patch version)

I assume you want street navigation software as there are quite a few GPS apps for many different purposes. If so, you have a couple of options. There is TomTom6 and there is Garmin. Both are located on the attachments page located here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/misc.php?do=showattachments&t=202671

Just scroll through and get them. I use TomTom and it works well for me although TomTom is not making anymore Palm OS navigation maps and is not updating the Palm OS maps. The latest maps are version 6.75 for North America if that is what you need. Also, if you search this forum using keyword TomTom or Garmin you will find a lot of info on installation etc. Hope this helps.

BTW, you will need a GPS receiver if you don't already have one. I use the Freedom GPS receiver. It is very small ( about 1 to 1/2 inch square) and works very well. It costs approx $80 USD.

From what I have researched on this issue with the MIDataLib file error, apparently this is a ROM library file. Try using fileZ or another file viewing app to see if this file is in ROM on your device. I'm not sure if it is specific to a certain app or device. I do not have it on my treo 755p. Some people have had success by doing a warm reset to eliminate this error message. Did you try this? You might also see if this file is in your backup/archive folder on your PC since it may have been copied there when you last did a hotsync. or see if someone could send you the file and put it on your TX and then try a soft reset. I would recommend that you do a backup before making any changes to your device. That way you can revert back to your backup if you get errors. RescBackup is an excellent app for this and is available here in the forum at http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/misc.php?do=showattachments&t=202671 Just scroll to the app and download. There is a patched version there. As a last resort you could do a hard reset and reinstall all your files. Always backup your files. Hope this helps.

Are you sure you followed the instructions down EXACTLY. I too had problems till I did the exact way as in the instructions. By the way, in case we can, can you give the HSID and device ID.

Hello Surf, need to make some corrections. I said it is working before replacing the pdanet with the 700 you directed me to. the version on junefabric site for 700/755 really works for the Centro as advertised. that happen to be version 4.12. when this is replaced with the one here, the response is that you require v. 4.02 on your phone. I searched and downloaded 4.02 and when I run that on my Centro, it tells me that version works only for handspring 700. Thanks for the help. I still need a working version for the Centro.

I had the same issue and after searching and reading several posts the solution was installing and running Clean Start. My card was then recognized by my Centro and I haven't had the problem since.

If I understand you correctly you are saying that the 700p version in my link is not working correctly but the one you downloaded from june fabric (ver 4.12) is working. Version 4.12 is the one you need for the Centro.

Try this:
1. Install the full installer from Junefabrics' website.
2. Go to C:\Program Files\PdaNet 4.12
3. Rename PdaNet.exe to PdaNetOLD.exe
4. Copy the cracked PdaNet.exe to the folder

Make sure you delete any prior version/install before reinstalling. The Uninstall app here on the forum is very good for deletion as it removes all of an app. Let me know if this works.

hi all! i just upgraded from a palm 650 to an unlocked centro running on at&t due to cracked screen and lost antenna on the old 650 that i had for a year or two.
i did a google search looking for tips,hints,etc regarding the centro prior to buying one- and ended up here on this site.
after a few days of digging around the site- i decided- that going to the centro would do me good.
(ie- i wouldnt have to completly learn a complete new phone system- stuff i had on my computer/phone- i wouldnt have to toss out and start over again)
in the 3 days that i've had my centro- here is what i've found on the site that i have discovered-
1)there are really good guys here that can either help crack programs or help with 'user' issues w/the centro.(good tips)
2)there are sure a lot of folks that don't really try searching before breaking down and asking for 'gimmies'
3)as a result of a few days of searching this site- i've gotten the following progs up and running
a) bejeweled 2
b) tealOS- the last version
c) koolsounds
d) oxford dictionary
e) par 72 golf
f) northglide undo and stuff
g) scrabble
h) text plus
i) top camera timer

most of the files- i found on the page where all the files are listed- so i apologize if i didnt give the 'thanks' thumb up to the posters of those files.


as a newbie here- hope i am not saying something that has already been said, or will be misconstrued as ...dunno... know it all....
but how about the folks that are posting patches/cracks that have a generic code or pretty simple instructions on how to get them to work-
in the 'properties' of the program - post the codes/instructions? i think that would stop (or at least limit) a lot of the follow up posts about how
someone downloaded the program and can't get it to install/work....

(i checked all the files i downloaded- and none of them had that....so because i found
the files on the master list- i was having to go back and forth digging thru threads looking
for the post that explained how to get the files to work)

now-on another note-
seeing what files i've downloaded/installed- any of you long time users of the centro have any suggestions for
programs that i havent gotten yet that will make my centro experience even better?

ps- my 2 cent contribution - its not much-
i figured out in the tealOS -
that in
options/preferences/text
that the instructions/hints given by the pdf/website for the program- doesnt really give all the story-
it tells you for example- to display the signal strength- to type $s....
if you do that- it only displays a number- but if you type $s% - it displays the number w/ % behind it- ie 89%
another thing i figured out- (which they dont explain) -
the instructions only show you how to display one item per section- (left section and center section)
you can actually double up the items displayed on each section- i've got phone signal strength on left section and time and date and battery level displayed on center section

i know that this tip wasnt earth shattering and ground breaking- but it might help someone that is learning their way thru the system like i am :)

Sometimes this is a problem with the headphone/mic connection on the treo. The contact inside the jack sticks. To attempt to solve this problem try to connect/disconnect a headset a few times to see if that works.

I have not tried it on a Centro. I have a 755p and am using version 4.12. This is the same version you need. Did you try the procedure I gave you with the PdaNet Crack.rar version located in the link I gave you earlier. If you haven't tried it with that version, try that instead of the 700p version. Let me know if it works.

You might want to consider trying USB Modem which has the same function as pdanet. I haven't personally tried it but others here have. I have had good success with pdanet. Some say USB Modem is faster than pdanet. You might want to try it. Just a thought. Good luck, let me know the results.

Did you run all the different settings in Clean Start? When you take your card out and put it back in does the tone sound? If so, I think it's the same issue I had and Clean Start will fix it.

I don't want to make it so nobody can call unless they are on my contacts list, because I am looking for a job and that wouldn't be good if they couldn't get through, lol

Yes they are compatible...... any software that you have on your 650 should work on your centro.....

I too have a Cingular unlocked Treo 650 with a highly customized ROM. No problems so far. You have to use ROMTool from GSMHacks and it should be fine.
Be warned- Read everything before you start anything ELSE you may end up with nothing (a bricked Treo 650).
I am not a technically qualified guy, but still I found the process very easy and painless.

I have my pre for about 2 months now. Love it. I use the plam profile and it backs up automatically everyday. I have been reading lately where people had to do a hard reset and then when they would restore, alot of their contacts were missing! I have over 1100 contacts and would be pretty upset if I had to do a restore and something was missing.

I was told to have all my contacts in google. More reliable. I havent figured out how to get my contacts into google from my pre. From what I understand, I can sync my contacts to outlook with pocketmirror. Is there some sort of serial or crack for that?

Same2G, I also use a Treo 650 so i should be able to help you here. You dont need palm powerups PalmSDHC, and i doubt they will ever make it treo compatable as there is already a solution. First, Let me explain,
Fat32.PRC and FAT32 support on palm devices has NOTHING to do with wether or not a Palm device can read SDHC, Having the Fat32.PRC only allows NON FAT32 palms to read FAT32 cards. The reason this is helpful is that Fat16 can only be used to format 2gb partitions on cards greater than 2GB. That being said. What you need in addition to this is an SDHC slot driver for the treo 650. SDHC is a new version of the SD hardware specification to deal with high capacity sd cards. It is not backwards compatable with the old SD specification. The orig. SD specification was only designed with 2GB max size cards in mind.
Fortunatly for us Treo 650 users, Palm created the Treo 680 with SDHC drivers, and by some stroke of fortune, it uses the same Slot Card chipset as the Treo 650, therefore the slot driver from the 680 can drive the treo 650 Card Slot.

There is only one complication, and that is that the Slot Driver must be placed in the rom of the treo.

Here is how to do it, And what you need:
1. Use the ROMTool to ensure you have a good back up of your ROM just incase things go sour.
2. Start by removing from ROM "MMCBulverdeIntelDrv_Device.prc" (according to shadowmite, this is the file that is the driver for the current sd card host controller), "Fatfs.prc" (the fat12/16 file system which limits the treo to maximum 2gb recognition) and "SmartTextEngine_Device.prc" (this is the smartext engine from the 650 i believe to be incompatible with the slotdriver file as mine didnt function properly the first time i tested it.)
3. Add to ROM(from the previously downloaded zip files): "FAT32.prc", "SlotDriver_SDIO-sdsd.prc" and "SmartTextEngine_Device.prc"(this is the 680 smart text engine i required to get my messagine app to work again.)
4. Upload ROM with new files installed.
5. Verify SD card works(legacy cards are still usable on this back compatible file system).
6. Verify new SDHC card works. (the simple fact that the SDHC card is readable in the treo means its fully capable of writing to it and working properly. if installing an 8gb SDHC card, treo will only display up to 4gb capacity but i assure you, all 8gb is useable.)

That should do it... Hope it works..

Also, I did not make those instructions, but i did this on my treo some time ago and saved them to a text file, Id give credit where it is due, but i have no idea who made them..
