i tried the volumecare bypass that did not work ive run out of ideas the headset works fine when i go to real player or any thing that plays sound with no headphones plugged in the mp3 music comes from the treo 650 ear speaker very low i dont understand it its like the treo just forget it has a backspeaker

You say that you can hear some sound from the speaker but it is very low. The only other thing I can think of is to try to move the volume controls on the phone up and down a few times and also check the apps that you are using and make sure there is not a preference or menu item that got selected accidentally that disables the speaker. Although it sounds to me like the headphone jack connection is stuck in the headphone position. Other than that I am at a loss for a solution. Let me know if you get a solution.

Attached is the MobiTV Start prc file that you need in your RAM. Start MobiTV by running MobiTV Start rather than MobiTv (leave MobiTV in RAM also).

I don't think you can export any rom files from 700p..... you can do that with the 650...... there is no rom tool compatible with the 700p

There is no AC-3 support on coreplayer..... you will have to convert your movie with a movie converter before you put it on your palm

The file I need, you will get by using program Resco Explorer or Filez.
Open ROM folder by Resco Explorer and select all files, then zip them. That's it.
If you can not upload it, use PM.

When you upload, please specify ROM version and phone.

I'm not quite sure whether version 4.2 has already been dealt with. I heard the it is a bit buggy, so many people either coughup the 11 buck for the updated version or settle for the 4.1. The 4.1, as I heard cause I don't use this app, has been completely and successfully patched. I will recommend to search this forum for "Unistall" and then uninstall the app and all its preferences. And then install 4.1 (or whichever successfully patched version you can put your hands on - This forum can provide you with the 4.1 - not sure if we have the 4.2, please search)

A lot of people have problems using the keygens posted on this site.....Some keygens are easier to use than others...... That's why most of them ask the people who do know how to use the keygens to generate codes for them.....

To make things easy for you, just post your HSID then someone can generate a code for you.....

I can't find my hotsync cable and it has never been hotsynced before but from my very limited knowledge of hotsyncing, I can make my hotsync ID anything I want right? If so I'll just make it "Kate" without qoutes of course. If thats too short then "Kate's Phone" and if symbols aren't allowed and the first choice isn't allowed then the third choice would be "KatePhone".

As to just be clear because I know sometimes my way of thinking isn't expressed very well, I just need the KeyGen to be used on any ONE of those. I only gave multiple names because I don't know how hotsyncing works and I dont have the cable right now (I'll get a new one soon or find mine) so I'm not sure what HSID would work.

Have you gone to the bluetooth section of your phone and turned it off? Just click on the bluetooth icon and it will bring up a screen that allows you to turn off bluetooth.

Yes you can make your hotsync id (HSID) anything you want. The first time you sync you will assign a name to your phone/device. This will be your HSID. It is best to keep it fairly simple and avoid spaces, quotes etc. in the name. In addition to the cable you can hotsync with bluetooth if you have bluetooth on your computer and phone/device eliminating the need for the cable. This method is only slightly slower in transfer speed then the cable. Hope this helps.

In addition to the help you already have. Let me put in my 2 cents...

You can install ChangeName with applications like Resco Explorer and CardReader, which you can find here. Card Reader simply turns your device into a Flash Drive (Uh, but I just recall you don't have a cable, maybe it works via bluetooth, I remember writing on this before, please search...). If card reader don't work for you due to a lack of a sync cable, then you can get your SD Card out of your phone, and use a card reader on your PC, and dump prc and pdb files onto some directory on your card. And then Resco Explorer is like the windows explorer on your PC. Locate the directory on your card with Resco Exploere and then move the file from that directory and dump it into the directory on your right hand side that says RAM. And that's it...

PS: If card reader doesn't work it means that probly you can't install Explorer as well, so you can as well have somebody else bluetooth the files to your phone... Maybe you know somebody that can get the files to their card and have them bluetooth to you..

Another approach, which is a bit more advanced, but if you can get your card written on from a PC via a card reader, then you can install Resco Explorer in this directory: /Palm/Launcher, and then follow the above, but you will have to move Resco Explorer to RAM as well, by copying the prc file, and then from the version on RAM delete the version on the SD Card...

KB Lights Off, if I am not mistaken just turn off your keypad. I would recommend PowerHero from Hobbyist. With this you can turn off your keypad, your phone radio, bluetooth, infrared, and schedule the turnoff, manage battery, and a bit more. Just search and you should find the application, or download it from www.hobbyistsoftware.com and use the hobbyist k3yg3n found in the attachments sheet.

If you don't like it I'm pretty sure we can help you wth KB Lights Off...

I am not sure if this has been said already, You can Hotsync via Blue tooth if your Laptop or PC has a BlueTooth. If your PC has no Blue tooth you may intall a usb bluetooth adaptor. I did this for years when I got a treo650 without cable. If you need further help on setting up the blueTooth hotsync connection I am sure someone can help if you let us know.

just an update... the SlovoEd keygen that was posted here doesnt work on the Oxford thesaurus... but I found another SlovoEd keygen that actually works with it...

I can't believe i didn't think of using my card reader! Or bluetooth!!! But unfourntatly I do not have a bluetooth enabled compt nor a sd card. (Use to have bluetooth usb, still do but doesn't work with Vista!!! :mad: And my card reader broke :( ) BUT!!! I just realised I can do have IR!!! I'll transfer files from now on that way!!! Currently, I have iSilo, Mobipocket and docs to go, and keep switching between them, depending on what I read.

I have a huge collection of reading material in various formats on my laptop, and it would take ages to convert it all, since so far I've only managed to find programs that let you do the conversion one document at a time.
