Liquid damaged d500, cleaned it up and dried it. However, none of the keys work apart from the power button which switches the phone on but won't switch it off. Does anyone know what can be done to get all the keys working again?
yep replace the flex cable from main board to sub board, guarantee to fix problem ;)

I am thinking that I might have to remove a few diodes/resistors from the keypad but I don't know which ones?

also check side keys when you close phone check anyone key is not pushed permanently.
For diodes you can find them by yourselt check components small like capicitors and its one end will be grounded and other will be connected to keys tracks.
find one and match it to other and remove all like that simple way i think you can done this job.

Please becareful to remove only one by one and REMEMBER which one went where, cos if u remove the wrong component the phone will not power on!
and you will be sitting with a dead handset if u dont know where to replace it or lost it.
wbr :)
Thanks I'll try that. Is there any specific way to test which one(s) are faulty or is it a matter of buzzing them out, remove them and see if that works??
Cheers

Make sure that there is no corrosion on these areas:
under sub pcb and main pcb keypad membranes
on flex connectors on sub pcb and main pcb
on varistors on sub pcb and main pcb
on microphone
on side buttons
on flex
If you can, check with 20x zoom microscope.
