ok here it is:-

Ive now downloaded three yewsprite apps, one from yewsoft site and two from members off this forum and all have been deleted by norton anti-virus when being extracted from a rar file.

It says there is a "SymbOS.Skulls.H" virus within that file and theres nothing left in the file when deleted.

The thing is about 6 months ago i downloaded the same app on my computer at work but the app was never extracted or used until today when i realiesed i had it, so i thought i would try and guess what happened, norton anti-virus deleted it.

Would somebody explain if this is a virus or not, even though members have said they never found it when using it on there computers/phones, im having no luck with it.

its not, I have yewsprite installed in my phone and installer in my pc it does not detect it as a virus, however I also have the real SymbOS.Skulls and my anti-virus detect it as a symbos virus otherwise as skull.sis as they say. I also tried scanning it with different anti virus yewsprite does not appear to be virus. Dont know about the yewsprite you have, yewsprite is a application in which it can play gif file as a wallpaper although it uses more baterry power cause its a moving image of wallpaper not a screen saver.

Cheers for the reply

I am aware of what the app is used for and thought i would give it a try again, so i downloaded it as a .rar from yewsoft, scanned it with norton and all is fine but as soon as i try to extract it from the .rar file norton kicks in and deletes the file automatically without any choice which is weird because i have had it installed it on my phone before about six months ago, im thinking if it could have something to do with norton mistaking it for a virus of some sort
