View Full Version : Flashing a 3650 with 6600 software
hello everybody , i really want to run 6600 themes on my 3650 , but i couldn't find a way to make it , so what about flashing the mobile by 6600 software ?
note that i've seen friend's mobile 7650 flashed by the 6600 software and it worked just perfect ,
what do u think , will it succeed ? will it hurt the hardware by anything ?

I think it's bossible if 6600 soft is combatible with 3650... You can get also dead mobile with wrong flash file... Luck for trying!

thanx for your reply , but plz can u tell me how to do this flash cuz i have no experience in flashing the mobiles , and where can i get the file , thanx again. :)

but worth giving a try

<=> Regarding flashing mobile, I think Main memory of 3650 is 18 MB whereas Main memory of 6600 is 22 MB, so I don't think it is possible to flash 3650 with 6600 firmware.
If I am wrong :p , PLEASE Let me know...................

I don't know much about this topic but first you need some flashing device... Example one is Twister Flasher. Then you need flash file and PC-software for using the flashing box. It usually comes with device. Maybe you can flash the phone via Bluetooth.
Then you connect phone to PC and flashing software re-writes memory... You can read more from tutorials of flashing devices and try to search with Google. You will find usefull tips.

Yeas, thats broblem and I didn't remember it. Still if you re-solder new memory for phone it can works... Thats very hard and I don't recommended that you even try.

On original units 7650/3650 is impossible, surely would write out of bounds and screw up the IC.
If intend to change flash ICīs, also difficult because display screen would not work, and maybe OS would not work neither, since they are very different OS platforms...
If intend to go even more further, well... forget it and buy a real 6600... itīs not that expensive.

I would like to know one thing,
* What is the difference between "Flash drive" & "ROM" in case of Mobile ?
* I mean the ROM ( which is shown by FEexplorer ) that we hv on our phone is FLASH memory or is it just one time writable memory ?
* I know that, in case of flash memory BLOCK of data is deleted simulteneously.

hi friend , it's not impossible , it HAPPENED , it REALLY HAPPENED , a 7650 flashed by a 6600 software , all stuff working ( EXCEPT THE MMC FOR SURE ) ,
i'm here to ask u about your opinion , shall i take the risk or no , i know there is a risk of a dead phone , so that's why i'm here, anyway , thanx a lot for your care and reply. :)

hello , i tried this program b4 , and i've found these bad things :
* it decreases dramatically the battery lifetime
* it must be run every time after restart
* it makes the backlight fluctuates ( increases and decreases )
* no battery indicator - no signal indicator
* it only changes the background of the main menu , doesn't change the submenu

I dont believe this...Really it is impossible... Like Drugstore said i do definately believe that both phones (n7650 n n6600) uses different platforms...
