GSMKEY LG8120 Unlock Problem

Hi,

I had a 8120 (Unknown Version) into unlock today. I connected to the Laptop and loaded the GSMKEY. As i didnt have the code to check the software version wirh me I decided to do it as "New" - All went well .. until I turned on the phone and went to enter the code given on GSMKEY to enter the network menu .. no matter how many times I tried the phone ignored it....

It had a current 3G SIM card in at the time....

So not to be beaten I decided to unlock as the old 8120 .. all went great.. said it was unlocked and read the correct IMEI... put a dirfferent SIM in and I got "USIM LOCKED"

Any Ideas? ...

While I am here let me just say how **** this software is .. anyone considering buying it wants thier head looking at. All we have had is problem after problem...

check your software version first
put your 3g sim in it
press menu , 9 , 2 , 5
or without the sim card

to fix the problem put a screwdriver between the power points where the battery connects on the phone then press the power putton for about 12 seconds. the phone should short circuit. put the battery back in and power on the phone. the phone should be back to normal but will still only accept 3g.
