View Full Version : Bluetooth & Win2003 Server
Has anybody found a solid solution?
I google it and found some solution but i have problem with stability...
I have a Omnius Bt dongle with the Widcomm drivers (v4.0.1) :)
And Microsoft Desktop Elite (Keyboard and Mouse) for Bluetooth. :D
The Keyboard is in "safe mode" function - Explanation: Only the basic functions are working. :(
I am working with 2 Operating systems - WinXP MCE 2005 and Win2003 Server Standard Edition.
The adaptors are working fine with MCE but with 2003 server there isn't support for bluetooth.....

I have
Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth= BthUsb, USB\Vid_045e&Pid_007e (Microsoft Desktop Elite (Keyboard and Mouse) for Bluetooth)
Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth 2.0= BthUsb, USB\Vid_045e&Pid_009c
and works we'll with Windows 2003 SP1 and native microsoft Windows XP SP2 drivers
1 Install SP1 on Windows 2003 Server
2 Install Q323183 form attached files
3 Use Windows XP SP2 bth.inf for install your dongle
4 Use wxp_sp_bt_ripe files or XP SP2 CD for all other ask file
5 We'll done
On bth.inf you can add dongle.
For Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth= BthUsb, USB\Vid_045e&Pid_007e you can use Widcomm 3.0.1.912 support windows 2003 server with out problems.
Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth 2.0= BthUsb, USB\Vid_045e&Pid_009c not full support by Widcomm 4.0.1.700 drivers

Just wanted to say thanks for this. I spent a good couple of days trying to get Bluetooth to work on Win 2003. I tried everything, but this (plus your suggestion to edit the vendor ID for my USB Bluetooth dongle into the Microsoft bth.ini file) was the "missing link."
Thanks!
