Hi, there
Recently i got a jabra bt200 headset and an unknown brand usb bt dongle (only a mark of "HORUS ISSC"" inside). The weird thing is so far they only work with BlueSoleil 1.4.9.5 on windows XP, but the annoying thing is they do NOT work on my pc! everytime I installed the bluesoleil in my samsung q20 laptop, the 802.11b card can no longer detect the AP signal, hence I have to restore the system to a previous checkpoint to solve this problem. :(
I tried the widcomm 4.0.1.7 as well, but failed to connect headset although the paring step looks fine.
Does anybody here have the same problem and work it out finally?
Thanks.

Similar problem with a Jabra BT205 headset and a Prodigy ES-1002 USB Bluetooth dongle (same chipset as HORUS ISSC : ISSC IS1002N-105).
I've tried 3 different versions of IVT BlueSoleil (v1.4.9.5 for ISSC, v1.6.1.4 and v1.6.2.1).
Same result with these 3 versions : My Jabra BT205 is well detected, I'm able to pair and also to connect (signal is good).
But the only thing I can hear is a little background noise (as a normal pink noise when audio path is opened) but impossible to hear the system sounds of Windows or music from MediaPlayer.
I've defined "Bluetooth AV/HS Audio" everywhere I can (Audio settings, MediaPlayer Settings) and Jabra BT205 is set as default audio device in IVT BlueSoleil.
I plan to try Widcomm software in next future but as it is not provided with my BT dongle, I'm not sure it will be easy to install and to setup.
Anybody can help us to make Jabra BT200/BT205 working with ISSC module?
THANKS!

I've got the same problem.. and the same usb dongle as You Prodigy. The only partial solution is to install widcom 4.0.1.700 and up. Then you can hear music from media player ect but the microphone isn't working...

OK, I will try Widcomm software with my ISSC BT dongle.
For the microphone, have you tried with MSN?
Windows system seems to have problem to detect BT headset as microphone but some applications like MSN (and Skype?) are able to detect it.
On WindowsDevCenter.com website in "Getting Your Bluetooth Headset to Work in XP (http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/07/05/bluetooth.html)" you can read this :
Clicking on the "Test hardware" button does not seem to recognize the existence of the microphone on the headset; however, the computer does redirect the sound output to the headset.
To verify that the headset is indeed working, use MSN Messenger. (I used version 7.0.) Click on Tools -> Audio/Video Tuning Wizard, and set both the Microphone and Speakers to use the Bluetooth Audio. Click on Next, and you will be able to test the speaker.
Yes.. I've just tried with msn 7.5... Unfortunately with no effect. The microphone still isn't working. And it's not broken because when I've tested it with a nokia mobile everything was ok. What a shame... I would like to try it on linux because there is Bluez which is some kind of a open source driver but I don't have space and time to install linux...

I've installed Widcomm 4.0.1.2101 (with billyx patches) and I've modified the btwusb.inf file to add support for ISSC module.
Widcomm seems to work fine with my PDA (HP iPAQ H6340) but I'm still not able to connect to my Jabra BT205 (I'm just able to detect it and to pair it).
Each time I try to connect to, I have an error message (error during pairing, auth. error).
I've just tried with a Motorola HS850 : similar problem.
So, perhaps it is due to the 4.0.1.2101. I'll try the 4.0.1.700 version later.
Anybody have success to connect a headset using both 4.0.1.2101 and ISSC module ?
Thanks!

I have the same problem. my bt250 pairs OK but when I try to connect it says "there is a security problem, you may have to redo pairing." happens every time. pin is correct and headset is usable on a cell. I am using patched wdcom with ISSC and it works fine with nokia pc suite

same here, when I used my moto ht820 headset, always auth failure
I was able to pair my Motorola HS810 headset. But not able to receive or send any sound from my headset.
I got a Billionton USB Bluetooth Adapter. Under Device Manager it says CSR Bluetooth Device. Using BlueSoleil 1.6.2.1 Release 050629. Please help. :(

Got Jabra 250V. Works just fine with my laptop's built-in Bluetooth device (HP), but ther's no way it would work with USB dongle... I've tried 3 different dongles, run them with different stacks and with different computers - no use...
Each time the earpiece was found and paired, but when i established connection, there was no sound (once or twice I've heard something - for half a second or so...). Tried with skype, MSN and other software.
This is really driving me crazy -what the hack is wrong with those dongles?
I'd really appreciated any suggestions on how to make it work together
