u can format mmc card anywhere u can read it (mobile device, pda etc.)
but if tell u "card damaged" u must use PC card reader to format it (probably u have some wrong with partition on mmc, like on PC hdd) and u must delete it, but this cant do from phone.

Some mmc cannot be repair if the chips is damage.You can only format if you forgotten the password.

use a usb reader and read it through the pc then format the mmc in fat mode not fat32 or ntsc! just fat then insert it again in ur phone if that didn't help then go to extra and memory and format it there hope this helps!;)

One can try to open the both wafers of multimedia card ,mostly drysoldering
is there,

there much be something wrong with your com readings, you are trying to say that your com actually recognise your 128 MB to a 17.9TB? why not trying it on another computer,see to it whether is the reading still the same? if yes, then your MMC mayb ehaving problems, if not then maybe your PC is missing a drive or something like that..

i have 2 programms one is to correct mmc problems and corruptions and the second is to find the mmc password but u have to install them on u phone memory.

another way to find u mmc password is;install a file manager like Fexplorer in u phone memory than go to c:\system than go to mmcstore after that send this file into u pc with bluetooth or cable and open it with notepad and u'll see the password of u mmc

hey guys, i wanna share my experience on formatting MMC.i hope this could be very usefull 4 you!!
1. i did formatting MMC through pc,yes it worked.but you'll lost your certain folder(image,sound,video....)and you have to arrange the deafult setting of MMC(like when you buy the new one).ofcourse it will waste our time.
but next,i did formatting by using my device(n6600),and it worked.and automatically it arranged my deafult folders.u just need to insert anything what you want in it.
IMPORTANT!!!before you do formatting pls back up all of your data on pc,so when you success formatting MMC you can easily restore your data back again.

Locked MMC cann't Be formatted with Simple PC Card Reader.
if u have JAF just Buy MMC Cable for Formatting Locked MMCs.
if u don't then buy a MMC Unlocking Clip thats Cheap.
