Hi again, is anyone get hand on Widcomm 4.0.1.1500 yet? I got it from here...
http://www.ccandc.com.tw/support.htm
But after installation, the old trick is not working on patching the BTW with BTPatcher! There appears a new file turn-up in the list... BTTray.exe.manifest! Can only success installation but cannot make it to work after that....
Thanks satein

I'm looking forward to create a working patch today...

Just created the patch....

To install follow my instructions EXACTLY, this is the fastest way:
-Unplug the Bluetooth device
-Install Widcomm, don't make a reboot
-Kill the processes BTTray.exe and BTSTAC~1.EXE in the Task manager
-Rename the 4 files to replace to .original
-Copy the patched files to the location
-Reboot

No need for save mode, disabling services, registry patcher,... just the Widcomm Software and my patched files.

Great Billyx! You're our man... very fast response.
Very big thank,

To Billyx, I would like to ask ... I think I just kill one of my NC6000 internal bluetooth (Actiontech) by flashing GenericCSR firmware. I can sometime flash the old firmware back but it will not recognize any thing! Now, I try patching this firmware to see Hp device but I don't want to kill the second one. The one that got kill is one I got for experiment on this thing... Can I make it alive again...

Forgot to mention... I try to make HP Bluetooth stereo headphone to work with NC6000. And I think I need to upgrade the bluetooth module to be 1.2 class. It was told to be needed A2D something profile (High qulity audio profile). Is this assumption correct? I will report again after trying out with widcomm 4.0.1.1500.

Works great with:

Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth 2.0 USB\VID_045E&PID_009C

Big thanks satein and billyx for this great update. Hopefully this is a better stack than earlier versions. Will test it once I get hold of the full installer and post results here. :D

Billy, thanks so much for all your hard work!

Can you think of any reasons why when attempting to connect A2DP that the tray/stack thinks it's connected, or sits on "connecting" indefinitely when it's not (no connection on A2DP device). Pairs fine. Very bizarre. Of course, BlueSoleil works great in eval mode. VID 0DB0 PID 6855

You singlehandedly are the most valuable resource for Bluetooth on the Interweb. :)

For me, the device report as malfuction and windows is hardly recognize it :( For last trial, I flash the genericCSR with modified to HP VID&PIC number... The flash was done on Widcomm utility and can complete flash process... but now the dong(ey)le is completely die :P I still find the solution for HP BT stereo headphone. The problem is I cannot even recognize there is the Headphone around to my NC6000! But it is funny that HP stated this dongle support A2DP profile... but how to make it work!!! I can success port the sound via Ericsson HBH-10 but not the HP BT Headphone... Now going to try Widcomm 4.0.1.900 on HP (Download this softpad SP29776). However, after install... it not allows BT on NC6000 to work with this version! What the HP do for support customer....

Can any one explain me how the BT Headphone with A2DP can be recovery by BT dongle?

Thanks guys for the information on and patches for the bluetooth stack.
An interesting read sofar.

Unfortunately or fortunately (depends), the link given in the first post now shows BTW 4.0.1.2101 to be the most current.

I´m confused about the Widcomm-Software Versions. Witch one is the newer version 4.0.1.700 or the version 4.0.1.1500?

What is the latest Widcomm-Version? Where can i get some information, when a new version is released?

Actually the newest known version is 2101. If you look at the previous post of me you se the link to the newer version (also in the 900/700-thread) .
