View Full Version : D500 by mistake given reverse polarity of 6 volts to phone! now doesnt power on!???

@All
I need your help as for 1 D500 samsung phone i gave a reverse polarity of 6 volts to the battery contacts of the phone & now the phone's main board has a short in it! is there a way so that i could check which part is got a problem with it! pls help me????

Everyting can happen in this situation. Ussually protection diode dies & phone becomes short circuted until you remove or replace it.
Also Power IC can be damged and/or RF-PA

i had same prob until i turned the board over(to the keypad side)and i chcked two components behind the charging unit.its a two legged component.remove it and it should come on.
