Hi.. I have some problems..

1. I have installed some programs, e.g sunny backup manager. And I've tried to uninstall this program. Done..software is uninstalled. But when I look into storage/windows/AppMgr/... I still found "Sunny Backup Manager SP" directory and it contains "EE01.tmp" inside this directory. I can't delete this directory/file. And it happens to other apps too. Do you know how to delete this unused file? Is there apps for it?

2. I'll try copy arial font to "storage/windows/fonts". But I can't delete it. I need to delete this font, can you tell me how?

First you have to download all the part of the file (e.g: pocket_part1, pocket_part2, and pocket_part3), then you to extract all that file on the same folder, it will ask you to overwrite the files on the second and so on part, choose "yes to all". after extracting all the part files you can now install your application. ;)

To move most of the files net compact framwork 2.0 files to the storage card (and free up 5 mb+) you can take a look at THIS (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=48314) page. Altough it's pocketpc described in the article, it will work for smartphone too.

This isn't Opera 8.001.. at least not after you've cracked it. The .dll replacement file is the same as the 8.0 release from TeamPV and the .dll file is pretty much whole Opera.

Opera 8.0 won't run properly on a Wm5 device so I made a little fix to solve this problem. This fix will take care of the wrong Opera data file locations and relocate it to the memory card. I've also Included the Opera startup page from Opera 8.60 PPC edition so that it will fit our devices better.

Here's how you "install" it:

1. Download and install Opera 8.0 for smartphone but DON'T run Opera yet.
2. Take the zip archive and extract it to the root folder of your device.
3. When you're prompeted to replace the file opera.ini in the \application data\opera folder, make sure you answer "YES".
4. If you want to delte some files from the phones memory, you can go to the \application data\opera directory and in this directory you can delete ALL the files EXCEPT FOR english.lng, opera.ini, opera6.adr and smartphone_keyboard.ini. If you delete one or all of these four files, Opera will NOT start!
5. Now you can start Opera.

This is also included in a text file inside the archive :) Note that this is not a crack, so you'll have to get that elsewhere (just search the forum :D)

No - Even though the installer allows you to choose the location for installation, it will still install on main memory no matter which location you've chosen.

Yes - The good news is after installation to main memory, you can easily transfer the installed files to storage card, this is how you can do it.

The value for these keys should start with \Windows\GAC_Microsoft...., modify the value to add in \Storage card so that it all read \Storage Card\Windows\GAC_Microsoft....
Take note of the above registry keys, they shoud all have the Version=2.0.0.0, do not touch those with Version=1.0.0.0, those are for earlier verison of .NET CF comes with your ROM.

Final step : Add to system path

Look under registry key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Loader\System Path], don't have to worry what is already contain in this key, just add in a new line \Storage Card\Windows\.


After completed the above steps, reboot your phone and you're done, enjoy .NET CF 2 program without worrying that this will take up much of your precious memory!!

I previously experienced a similar problem with my Mini SD Card. This is how I solved the problem. Firstly make a back-up of all files that are on your Card. You can easily do this by connecting your phone to the PC. Then drag all your files to your computer and scan them for any viruses. Download Binarys Task Manager from this page: http://www.binarys.com/download_en.asp use the cab installer and you can run it from your phone. Once installed open the program, click on File (right soft key) and it will give you an option to format your card. If this does not work then you need to buy a card reader, about 3-4 pounds on ebay. Insert your card into the card reader and open up the drive to your card reader, this maybe the 'E' or the 'F' Drive. Right click the mouse and this will give you an option to format your card, click on this and your card will be formatted. BUT this method WILL erase all files on your card. This is the best solution and the one which worked for me. Any probs, let me know.

Yesterday, i`m installed a new Rom from imate on my Qtek8300. My problem was, that "CellProfileSwitcher" kills my phone. I`m deinstallated the cps, but my phone want not to work and all so the formatin with Binarys TaskMnGr. After the hardreset my SMS,Calls etc.. worked again, but my phone worked not so fine like before.

But now after the new installation the formatin with Binarys TM does not work and i want now installing my softs and haven`t a card reader. So, im search an other soft...

I think there's a major problem with this "crack". When I put it in my phone, the backlight immediately went out. I had to re-adjust the power settings. I hope this isn't a virus...:rolleyes:

IMHO InfoSharp is the best for handling sms; it stores sms in Storage card; even if one resets the phone all sms are safe.

OK, I figured out the problem--- it was definitely my fault, the crack works fine. What happened is I used the button on the side of the phone to snap the photo--I assumed incorrectly that the side button would still work when using the Cool camera program. Apparently not. As before, the side button starts the original factory software for taking photos, and having that as well as the Cool Camera software on at the same time winds up crashing the phone. So, basically this works but you can't use that side button to snap pictures unless you re-map the button.

1. Go to the directory where InfoSharp is installed (probably /Storage card/Program Files/InfoSharp/ )
2. Locate "receivepackage.cab" and run it
3. Enjoy.

i don´t think so, because the qtek is smilar to the t-mobile sda, an the irda part of those mobiles are to weak for a tv-remote.... thats why there is no ir remote software available..

maybe i´m wrong, an there is something available, but it won´t work with your qtek. (or it works with a distance of a few CM)

That's very true. Only PocketPC's, Palms, and some Symbian phones have stronger IR signals. (I would know, I have all three.) Thats why those phones have have many remote programs and there are none for Windows Mobile phones.
