I had the same problem! I will tell you a little trick I did and it worked.
Turn on the IR on both devices. Then place the one next to it, like you would normally do in order to do the transfer. On your smartphone choose Send File>Via IR etc, still everything is normal. BUT after that wait for a few seconds and you will notice that the IR icon on the Nokia will stop flashing. Then you can do the transfer without any problems. And it will work with the Microsoft File Explorer, you won't need to install another one.

I have a problem with my imate SP5m and TomTom. :confused:

I have a SP5m updated with last ROM and I have last version of an original TomTom Mobile with Italy map.
Of course I can only use TT with that Italy map and not "others".
At the beginning original TT didn't work: I saw screen with lots of colored rows but no letters (as if the display configuration is not ok). I updated TT with file in TT web site and now it works.
But I like to use more maps. Is it possible? :rolleyes:
I mean...I cancelled my TT and installed one of those I found here, but I have same problems of colored rows, I do update and TT tells me that I need to activate these maps!
Why?

It's weird that you couldn't install it on your Storage Card. Maybe you should try again, because when I did the installation I faced no problem!
Anyway! I haven't used Pocketlingo, so I cannot really tell the difference between the two. However, I find Lextionary very rich in words, easy to use and customizable as far as the size of the letters, etc. It also includes intonation. :)

Guys, I know this post is a little off-topic... but there are many experienced
technoids here, so I hope someone could help me. I have MPx220 and I have this problem: anytime and anyway (also with Autoflight) I try to soft-reset it, it only shuts down, but then nothing happens. When I switch the phone on after that, it normally boots and then asks for PIN, but the display-backlight is OFF all the time {keypad-backlight works normally}. When I switch the phone off and on once more, everything works normally. This behavior is independent on firmware - I've tried 1.47, 1.49, 3.51, mpxland.
Any ideas, PLEASE?

You must install Battery Pack Pro in phone memory for it to work correctly, not on Storage Card.

In Symbian OS there's a Symbol that work Like "Enter" in Microsoft Word!!!
I mean it send the writing focus to the next line and when u send , the receiver see the message by a space between two line, but in Windows Mobile 2003 when u press the action button it GOES to the next line but when u send it, u see there's no space between to line, just to space after the last word!!!

SMARTPHONE 2002 could be ugraded to 2003 but not wm5 as far as i know, but there are some inconveniences, there is no camera software, no mms, low memory-means you cant play games requiring mor memory like pool. I have upgraded my SPVE100 to 2003 but revert it back to 2002.

1. After install SmartMovie, copy the keypatch.exe to installed directory on your device.
2. Run the keypatch.exe, register with any number. Your copy of SmartMovie is registered. You can delete Keypatch.exe if you want.
3. Install the desktop converter on your PC, start the Converter, you will be prompt with a request code, key the request code into your SmartMovie program under the Unlock Converter option. You'll be given a unlock code.
4. Key the unlock code into the desktop Converter, and enjoy!

sorry for being late to answer, Iwas so busy for a few past days, anyway that's the way; first you have to download motorola upgrade wizard prog. form internet, than copy all three image files in to a new file, close your mobile and connect it with usb cable while pressing the left direction key. eventhough your device is closed the computer see a new modem device and going to ask for the suitable drivers. browse the new file inwhich you've already copied the image files as target. - don't forget that your mobile device mobile device must be kept close during all these applications and also during the following steps-
by using the flash programme(upgrade wizard) first load super_moto_mpx200(2003).img file to your phone.
than load mpx200_2003_lang_update.img by the same way.( if you don't load this file yoru device will have only german language option)
second main step is the hardware reset:
disconnect your device from usb cable, whlie pressing the center blue button,also press the open-close button and open the device. you will see a guestion: hardware reset yes/no

click yes, than wait the process flows and enjoy your wm 2003
not: if you have any problem with gprs after the upgrade, then load mpx200_gsm_fix.img file with the flash programme, and hard reset the device again

Hi guys.

My first post & its a hectic one - I downloaded the mohun games listed above & copied the games to my storage card - I then tried to explore my card to run the game but phone said couldn't find explorer files.I rebooted the phone & it kept on rebooting itself.I removed the battery & then the storage card - switched the phone back on & then it keeps rebooting itself after displaying "cannot execute repplog" - please help :confused:

I feel you may have understated to advantages of WM5 over WM2003SE a little so I'll post my experiences so far for other users.

I upgraded my XPhone 11 from WM2003SE to WM5 mid last week - and I gotta say WOW - what a massive difference!

The OS over all seems faster, the UI seems much nicer and backwards compatibility seems great. With included apps suach as CellTask and BTToggle - plus the MSN/Hotmail integration, updated Activesync, Contacts and Fonts I really do feel that the upgrade is well worth it. It also seems more stable than WM2003SE with an increased ability to recover from errors instead of just crashing.

Add to WM5 a tool such as SmartTweaker and I firmly beleive you end up with a phone/PDA to die for.

Upgrading really isn't all that hard. In fact - it was dead simple (For the XPhone11 anyway). The key is to just make sure you are all backed up and sync'ed and then just go for it. I did a hard reset first on my phone and deleted everything off the SD card (after I had back it up of course) but this was personal choice - I wanted a fresh new phone. Once I was up and going with WM5 I just copied stuff back over to the SD card and reinstalled all my software again - building the phone again from the ground up (advisable).

All and all it took about 2-3 hours to get up and going again with the new OS and software - contacts and stuff were of course just sync'ed.

The instructions have been posted many times on this forum so please dont go bombarding the fourm again asking how. Just follow the instructions and you will be right. It seems to me that it has been made to appear over complicated by some of the posts in here and elsewhere.

One tip which I can give you is to go for version 4.1 and not 4.0 - but it's natural to go for the more recent verson anyway, but verson 4.0 seemed messy and unstable - it felt like it was still in Dev and not completed. Verson 4.1 feels completed and full.

Oh - and Mutty is the primary program which actually updates the ROM - that seemed a little confuising when I first started, I wasn't sure which program did what.

It is well worth the upgrade - and if you have a XPhone 11, then I suggest you just go for it. If it doesn't work for you then you can revert back - it wont kill your phone for ever.

So dont be scared - just do it!

Yeah it worked before for me and not now, i guess 150 was the limit .... anyway this package had nothing new for me .... There's 2 mophun version of Camageddon3dQvga the new one does not starts in spanish and works so good I already finnished it.

You might get lucky to get a successful upgrade, but there are too many issues to deal with. If you want to risk damaging your $200+ phone forever, then go ahead, risk the upgrade.

In my opinion, if you really want a WM5 phone, go buy one. I know, most of us are here because we don't want to pay/too poor for software. But hardware is a totally different situation. You can't buy upgrade parts (ram, CPU, etc) so you'll just have to settle of what you have.

Sorry for the rambling, but upgrading is not something to take lightly. If a newbie tries to upgrade their phone and messes up, its a real PITA. But if you have money to spare, go ahead.

That version only works with QVGA phones. I manage to rip carmageddon.mpn from the Symbian game, but I havent try it already. Do you want to try it?
