guys, I once scanned my computer and found that this anti mosquito thing was infected with a virus... so not worth the risk..

hubMobile, can you please help me if you can? Both me and my friend both have N6680's and I personally installed Full screen caller 3.02 onto both phones which are both on the same network. His one works perfectly but when I dial out the picture first comes up ok then it strangly goes very bright! However, it doesn't when I recieve an incoming call. Both phone settings are exactly the same as are the app settings. I've tried to remove the program and re-install but it still has the same problem. Can there be another program doing this? I'd rather not format the phone.
The app is installed on the phone memory now but it done the same on the memory card.

I am using 6630, my problem is that whenver i make a call to other network than my provider, i am unable to call using the dial key (green) second call. The phone should be restarted. But the assigned speed dial numbers are working OK. I did the factory setting.

What will be the reason? Hoping that anyone can help.

1. A PDF viewer for 6680 (not the supplied Adobe reader as this one sux)
2. An IRC chat program for 6680 so that we can chat on any IRC network
3. A program similar to, but more flexible, powerful and less restrictive than the supplied "Gallery" application.
4. Any new applications (Nokia or otherwise) that have been supplied with the Nokia N70 as I believe (correct me if necessary!) that these are compatible with 6680/6630.

Hope these requests can be met by someone :-)

all he means to say is that nokia is coming out with the 3250 (which looks very much like the 3230 for your info readers....)and that it has more enhancements in its music player than the nokia music playing software thats being offerd on music phones(stereo broadlining and equalizer and such)
so he wants u to get that version of nokia music player which has already been cracked....
but for ur info my friend theres no player of nokia that needs product activation or a code....
just like the n90 music player is out somewhere in the forum this player will also find its way......
be a lil patient and will pour into the forum as the 3250 becomes popular...
no need to find a cracked version!

do u use powerdictaphone?
cos the default folder for it is c:/nokia/sounds/digital sounds
and if u have set it as memory card then u can check like this
go to power dictaphone...go to settings...and go to file location and select it using the in built file explorer!

I am having these problems using the applications
(Downloaded from this thread only)

During the call there is continuous beep every 10 Sec

Are you saying dictaphone does not have those annoying beeps? Those annoying beeps are coded into the OS and I don't think any software can get around them... that's nokia's way of making sure that when u're recording a conversation, the other person knows..

callrecorder.sis is the installation file and after the installation folder, you need to replace the installed version of callrecorder.app with the one that you downloaded.

this screen saver is for 6680(tested) 6681 and 6630 use any file manager to copy all the contents(3 file) of the rar file to e:\system\screensavers and then you can chose the screen saver form the edit menu in the theme section.

note:- after downloading remove the txt extension

This is probably the best media converter, i have tried many of them but this one gives the best results. You can convert many media files (.rm .avi .mpg .mpeg .asf .asx .divx .mov .mp4 .gif ....), the best way is to convert them to AVI (AUDIO VIDEO INTERLEAVE) and then with Nokia multimedia converter convert them to .3gp. Try it !
P.S.: keygen is supplied within the file so you can use program with all it's capabilities :)

if you can not delete the application using the file manager then use any filemanager like efileman or system explorer to delete the application for example you wish to delete the application by the name of abc then browse to e:/system/apps (c:/system/apps if installed on phone memory) and then delete the folder by the name of abc (remember to delete the correct folder) and then restart the phone.

note if the application you wish to delete is already running then first close the task using system explorer and then continue as above.

next when you wish to ask something be more clear and try to improve your english

kartikay.. try checking with an application like appman.. sometimes programs are running only in the background.. having said that, I have to acknowledge that I get these memory full errors quite a lot even with my 6680 even though I've not tried to do what you are... it'll be safe to say there's some problem with the phone in general..

i found out the cause yesterday whenever we install products from psiloc like traveller etc some .exe files are placed in the folder e:/system/programs which keep on running even when the application is not running so i deleted the the traveller program and the .exe files remember to delete the correct ones (they usaually start with an 'e' ) and now my phone is working perfectly and can easily open images of the resolution of 1600*1200 haven't tried larger sizes and secondly the new firmware version of 6680 also rectifies this problem mine is 3.04.12 which one is yours?

I have donwloaded the Watchtone (the splitted one) from this thread and i got the registration key and it working good. But whenever i try to make a customised tone using the converter it show preview and when i click 'create watchtone' icon it shows "Tried to access a nil object" message.

look what i have found (not originally my idea copied it from another forum <we all do that!!!> these are the instructions for making a screen saver for nokia 6680 6630 6681 tested and other series 60 nokia phones not tested.

What you need:

A paint program (Corel, Photoshop, ....... Windows Paint )
MBM wizard http://www.symbian-freak.com/downlo.../mbm_wizard.zip
Screensaver Plugin + ini (see attacment)
(if you got a branded phone you maybe find the plugin files also in Z:/system/screensavers)

1) First you need a picture. As we want it fullscreen, the size should be 176x208. Save it as BMP. If you want to make an animation, you have to save several BMPs.
2) Open MBM wizard. Select your BMP picture(s). In the field where you see /c8 select the palette that your picture has. For example /c24 is 24-bit color. Click on "Add selected as". If you want to make an animation you of course have to add several BMPs. Now save the file as: BMPANIMSCRPLUGIN
3) Open BMPANIMSCRPLUGIN.zip (the file you downloaded from above) and extract the files.
4) Open BmpAnimScrPlugin.ini and edit it to your needs. I think no explanation is necessary.
Almost finished. Now just transfer all 3 files (the .mbm, .ini and .sc) to
E:\system\screensavers (you have to create the directory)

If you've done everything right you can now select your new screensaver in
Tools > Themes > Edit > Screensaver

the earliar screen saver which i had posted in this thread was too made in the same way

some tips:-

1) try saving in c/8 only other setting will lead to a huge mbm file say 1 mb for 6 images
2) remember that the images selected for making the screen saver should be of the resolution 176*208 and not 208*176
3) rename attachment to .zip
4) for faster animations change the value of the following line in the ini file:-Time between images in millis

try deleting the exe files from the folder e:/system/programs delete all the files starting with an 'e' only(if there is any) because these files are responsible for the security checks

look what i have found (not originally my idea copied it from another forum <we all do that!!!> these are the instructions for making a screen saver for nokia 6680 6630 6681 tested and other series 60 nokia phones not tested.
What you need:
A paint program (Corel, Photoshop, ....... Windows Paint )
MBM wizard http://www.symbian-freak.com/downlo.../mbm_wizard.zip
Screensaver Plugin + ini (see attacment)
(if you got a branded phone you maybe find the plugin files also in Z:/system/screensavers)
1) First you need a picture. As we want it fullscreen, the size should be 176x208. Save it as BMP. If you want to make an animation, you have to save several BMPs.
2) Open MBM wizard. Select your BMP picture(s). In the field where you see /c8 select the palette that your picture has. For example /c24 is 24-bit color. Click on "Add selected as". If you want to make an animation you of course have to add several BMPs. Now save the file as: BMPANIMSCRPLUGIN
3) Open BMPANIMSCRPLUGIN.zip (the file you downloaded from above) and extract the files.
4) Open BmpAnimScrPlugin.ini and edit it to your needs. I think no explanation is necessary.
Almost finished. Now just transfer all 3 files (the .mbm, .ini and .sc) to
E:\system\screensavers (you have to create the directory)
If you've done everything right you can now select your new screensaver in
Tools > Themes > Edit > Screensaver
the earliar screen saver which i had posted in this thread was too made in the same way
some tips:-
1) try saving in c/8 only other setting will lead to a huge mbm file say 1 mb for 6 images
2) remember that the images selected for making the screen saver should be of the resolution 176*208 and not 208*176
3) rename attachment to .zip
4) for faster animations change the value of the following line in the ini file:-Time between images in millis

I put here a few explanation too:

I tried to simplify that screensaver changing, so i have come to this solution, you can put all of your screensaver .mbm files in screensavers dir and give it simple names for example 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. then if you want to change screensaver just open that .ini in the mobile and change the number and voila screensaver is changed, quick and simple.

A little explanation how to put a few screensavers:

1) I have created a few folders with names of my screensaver (on my comp)
2) I have created a few .mbm files with different names (on my comp)
3) I have created a few .ini files with the changed names inside of .mbm files (names of my .mbm files) and put them in to different folder (folders with names of my screensavers (names of .mbm files), on my comp).
3) I have put all my folders (with .ini files inside) to my phone, on the:
E:\System\Screensavers\ (NOT on c:\, because on my mmc 512MB)
4) I have put .SC file to the same directory (e:\System\Screensavers\)
5) I have put all my .mbm files to the same directory (e:\System\Screensavers\)
6) NOW - I choose a screensaver which I want. I take (cut) .ini file from folder which I have chosen, and put him (paste) to this directory: E:\System\Screensavers\
7) Wooala… Only come to your theme, and choose your screensaver (now, name of your screensaver available)
If you want change screensaver to another one -> CUT current .ini file from e:\System\Screensavers\ and retrieve (PASTE) him to his folder. NOW - return to step 6 and 7.

hey guys worried about the scratches on your phone here is a permanent remedy what i did was that i bought a spare body for my nokia 6680 at the time of purchase and now when i was about to change the cover all i did was that i took it the my cars service centre and got it coated with a coat of clear gloss and guess the benifits

1) the phone has become very shiny
2) it has become strach proof
3) the cover fits perfectly without any gaps and hence prohibits the entry of dust which earliar used to get in and settel on the screen and be an eyesore

note:- coat the body before changing and do not coat the keypad

local made body and keypads are available at gafar market in india for as low as Rs125 (for testing if your are not satisfied!!!!)

it's not a problem.. it's a inbuilt check nokia has put in to protect the privacy of the person on the other end. It happens with almost all nokia phones..

some ppl posted the names of softwares which could overcome this limitation.. i haven't had any luck.. and don't believe it's possible.. but if someone has a different version, please let us know..

enter on menu> connettivity> bluetooth> and in the section "bluetooth discovery" you must set "visible to all".

all you need to do is make sure that you're storing your messages on the memory card and not the phone memory. Any incoming file would then be stored on the memory card.

Question:

ETI Camcorder works with the patch on my 6630, but I am finding it records well, but playback is at superfast speed. ie I recorded my walk to work from the station - 1 min, but playback was 20s. Very cool effect but no good for recording any action - any ideas?
