Change in Bluesoleil licence check

for earlier versions of Bluesoleil, all you had to do was write to their excellent customer support team, and they would send you the config.dat file (which removed the 5mb transfer limit for unsupported dongles).
however, all that seems to have changed. here's the reply i got from them:

"Sorry,
If you bought broadcomm's dongle with Widcomm drivers I can not help you.
Because in our new version of 1.6.1.4 we changed the license check and will
not support the dongle with Widcomm drivers. And only support the hardware
license. So please change the dongles with our license.
Regards,
Bluesoleil support"

so it looks like you either buy their supported hardware, or forget about using bluesoleil - which imo is better than widcomm.
