View Full Version : 3com 3CRWB6096B BT PC Card
Never got this to work well. Installed with 3com driver has only file transfer and DUN ...I understand it will support LAN & more. I want to use it for my RazrV3 BT fone to sync and also for my MotoHS850 BT headset for sound, etc. I understand it would require drivers to allow bidirectional data transfer. Question is what drivers to use. Would WIDCOMM driver work for this? If so, which one should I download, especially if it doesn't require a lot of hacking and hex editing which is a pain and usually gets things messed up!! 3com doesn't have new drivers for this! I also have a Socket model # 8510-00159 F1 CF BT card which would be great since my notebook also has a separate CF slot in it. I am completely flummoxed by all this. Any help MUCH appreciated.
Hi,
I'm using this card with Widcomm 4.0.1.2101.
You need the software and the patches from http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=215149&page=1&pp=15
You can find any information how to use the 3com card with widcomm here at this forum. Just use the search function.
Regards,
Whoopie
thank you...I searched, I read, I am downloading...
questions:
1. are the patch files peculiar to 4.0.1.2101 or will they work with subsequent widcomm versions (4.2.10 in particular)?
2. will this driver solution, once working, allow me to pair with other devices as well (i.e. MotoRazrV3 phone, MotoHS850 headset)?
3. in the instance of the HS850 headset, what software would I need to be able to use it to record voice to the computer and to listen to the computer's audio output (it is mono and would just be to hear .wav output or perhaps online radio news, etc.)? I already have "Total Recorder" and wonder if that would do it??
