Hey all,

First I'd like to say that this is a wonderful forum and to thank you guys in advance for listening to a poor person who's spent all night trying to fix his bluetooth. I have a VID: 0A5C PID: 200A Broadcom Bluetooth Dongle and was trying to upgrade my Bluetooth software so I could use my new Logitech headset with it. Before, Bluetooth worked perfectly but I tried upgrading to Widcomm 4.0.1.2101 and suddenly the device wasn't recognised. I tried an endless amount of tweaking with the various .infs and eventually got fed-up, wanting to revert back to my old Bluetooth software (1.2.2.16) so I could at least still syncronyze with my phone. Alas, it just wouldn't install properly with a variety of .dll's missing at any given time. I eventually downloaded the Bluetooth Guide and followed all of the steps yet the device still isn't getting recognised. I've re-installed three times now following all the steps of the guide and am finally at a loss and want to ask you kind souls for help. As it stands, i am getting the error of "Cannot find Bluetooth.lnk" at the start, and the device not being recognised ("No Local Bluetooth Device was detected"). Also the icon has become yellow with a black Bluetooth symbol, and my dongle is registered with the "Broadcom USB Bluetooth Device" driver. I am running Windows 2000 Service Pack 4. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.
