I have tried a couple of different downloads, then I put the files out of the gb plus map into my map folder, opened tt up and all the favorites I had stored over the last couple of weeks , had gone:eek: :mad: :eek::confused: :( . I guess it must be one of the .dat files, but which one?? anybody have any ideas?? then you could update tomtom as and when new maps come out, but not lose any of your locations:D ............ al fin del el strada arrivo su destino....:p

I have a Motorola A925, and I installed version 5.02 from emule, with Italy map. It worked without a problem, from the first time.
I downloaded Iberia_Plus-Map posted here, but I can not load it, the program didn't see it.

I downloaded version 5.20 from post 801, installed again, with Italy, Iberia and Guam maps. The program see only Italy and Guam, and is asking for activation code.
Any sugestion please?

Hi. anybody have a link to usa complete v567? I got it off gosu.ru but the midi file will not extract from the rar and TT does not see the map. Now I cannot link to the gosu.ru page.
I have a few maps, I can upload to UTORRENT, I have the usa seperate state map uploading there now. The thing is, I dont know how to find out what is the LINK to MY UPLOAD. If anybody knows how to find this out, I can upload and post required links on the forum.:D

Been getting lost round london for too long now and much prefer tomtom directing me rather than my gfriend. Saved me a fortune just buying a GPS receiver and memory card. Works like a dream...

I've searched the thread to look for Italy as I'm going on hols there soon but it appears the link has expired. If anyone can put it up I would be very grateful. Not so fussed right now coz I'm so so happy I just got the tomtom GB working :) If there's anything anyone wants or any advice I will try to help them. cheers. happy navigating :D

If anybody knows the procedure from the start, to upload files , Ive got a few to share.

I have emule on my computer at home and it is reeeally easy on that one, this computer has utorrent only and I cant quite work out how to share the files on it.

I am (apparently) uploading TT5 usa single state maps at the moment on utorrent from when I downloaded it myself.

I have a lot more maps now since first reading this forum and would like to share them.

I solved it. I left another map on the SD-card and then it worked.

I have motorola a925 phone. Recently, result of my effort i found tomtom uiq. In The instructions "copy this folder to your devices' d:\... folder and app is now ready to start". I did and it wasnt. i found solution. i copied folders to x:\.. and copied ttmobile folder to x:\system\apps\... the application now starts and ask language selection than voice test says something like no suitable voice data is found and ask where is the map download from internet. i do every thing what i knew.i copied folder every space of my phone memory but i coudnt find how? my tomtom app. coudnt be able to recognise voices and maps folder and files. Does anyone know how can i setup my tomtom navigation application? Does anyone has tt5_uiq.sis file for automatic setup?

I didn't make a "MAPS" folder. Just copy all the maps (each in his own folder) on D.

Hey Guys - I've been tracking the posts over the last couple of weeks trying to find the latest GB + V632 map, which I now have - My problem is that I have a TT Go 300 - I know this is a mobile forum, but the maps are the same and do work on the TT Go - but the bypass activation using the Guam or Canary Islands map doesn't appear to work? I need an activation code or a workaround for canary islands map.
I know that for nokia users no activation code is needed. They use the symbian program with Tomtom:) .
Pda users don't need to activate the canary islands map:) .
But when you using Windows mobile 2003 you must activate the map:( .
Benelux map works fine on my windows mobile 2003 phone.

I've had App version 5.000, 5.020 and 5.2 'working' in so much as it runs without error connects to my GPS and finds my position, but, no matter what I do the GUAM map is the only one that it will find on my memory card, I've tried 3 different flavours of the GB map but nothing.

Am I missing something or am I chasing the Holy Grail?

Any help would be much appreciated because unfortunelty I don't live in Guam!

Is this is a ***** version, copied directly to your memory card or did you install it ?

If you installed it, what does the Motorola A1000 use (.SIS etc) ?

Have you selected to change the map within TomTom (eg. Change Preferences > Switch Map), and if so, is Guam the only entry available when you try ?

Have you compared files between maps to ensure you have a full set of files in the GB directory ?

Are you happy that your current version is "registered" correctly and has not been downgraded to a trial version that may be limited, say, to one map ?.

If TomTom can see the Guam directory, have you tried temporarily replacing the Guam files with GB files but keeping the Guam directory, just to prove its not a lookup problem ?.

No, I have a Nokia 6260 Symbian 60 phone, but the principle should be the same. From what you have said, it sounds more and more like you have a working copy of Tom Tom but a dodgy copy of the GB map. I've gone through numerous revisions of both the "Great-Britain" and "Great-Britain-Plus" maps and to date all have worked. I can't say where to get them at the moment as they were passed to me by a friend but I'll aim to find out a link.

For those who dont know, the GB plus map is at least twice the size and includes all roads in major cities and motorway road systems, unlike the cut down version that isnt as detailed.

Incidentally, while I'm here, find attached the June 2006 release of the Speed Camera Updates for those who use it. Sorry if thats rubbing salt in the wound Haircut.

I think your P910i smartphone uses the same apps as my Nokia 6260 Smartphone. I believe I still have a large collection of voices (John Cleese, Ozzie Ozbourne etc) but they are likely to be too big for posting here. I'll check this evening when I return home. ACK!

Playing with the tom tom today, and it appears the voices only work once.

You can 'change voice' and test it, and youll hear it, but try to test again, try another voice or change volume, and there isnt any sound.

Also it wont recognise the additional voices (clint eastwood etc etc)

I have noticed also that the 'night mode' just kills the backlight, is it supposed to?

Anyone any ideas here?

Austria is 6.32 the latest (included in D-CH-A-PL-CZ map)

6.50 maps doesn't work on TomTom 5.20 od earlyer.
We need to wait for TomTom, to release TomTom Navigator and TomTom Mobile version 6.

6.50 maps only works on TomTom ALL-IN-ONE devices 510, 710 and 910.

TomTom v6 will be out in the beginning of the 3rd quarter of 2006.
So, we need to wait till september.

I was also looking for it, but no luck. I think, that the newest version of ALPS is 2, after that, they stopped developing it. You need do buy 1Gb card and put italy and france and DACH on it.
