I didn't know that you can have several BT session on a smartphone. Are you sure that it works on a P910 ? Did you try with a 6600 ?

you can use a BT handsfree device and a BT GPS receiver without any troubles with the 910.

I used a software who give me a double session for BT.
BluetoothEnhancer (in order to connect with more devices you at the same time) FREEWARE (in attach)
No I tried only a 6630 and I can't reply to your request.

Is it possible with tt5 (v 5.2 ) to see the speed limits on the road..... I saw a screenshot somewhere and it looked kinda cool.... The speed limit is show every 200 meter (or so) .... Know what I mean.. ???? little icons on the road with the speed limit in it ???

one question I can't see some maps in TT5.2 which I downloaded from various sources for example I can see and use CZ_PL_HU_SK_6_45 map and others (New York and any US), but DE_AT_CH_CZ 6_32 is not visible or Eastern Europe too. (Another users can use it)
And I'm sure that they are not for TT6, because version of first map is 6.45 and is functional and second not.
Please, I can't find any help, I tried GUAM map and others, but still can't see some of them. (everything is copied correctly on root of card)

if you want to use TT 5 with maps v6.xx till v6.45 you need an activation map not v6.xx better is to use a guam map v5.67 (300 kb).

Put together guam map and your map to the root of memory card start TT and search Guam Map than change to Your Map.
Remember don't delete guam map or you need activation code.
All maps v6.5xx are for TT 6.

As far as I know, tt6 DOES NOT WORK on p910i, tt5 does not work on p990 (symbian uiq v3) and neither tomtom nor sony have any intention of making it work, tt6 maps wont work on tt5 and vice versa, anybody know any different??????

1. What version number are compatible with 5.5 ?
2. What the main diff between ver 5 and 6 maps

You can't make a seperate folder for all maps!
If your benelux-map are named benelux.mid, benelux.pna and the suitable cline.dat etc. the folder must be named benelux
Just try
D:\MSSEMC\P-Series\benelux\
Each map-files must have a seperate folder at MSSEMC\P-Series\ .

Here's a dumb question !!!!
I like using tomtom on my P910i, but instead of holding it straight up I like the view where you hold the P910i on it's side ( wider view ) ... Now here's the catch, all the car holder I've seen this far hold the cell up, but I need one that holds it on it's side ( wideview ) ... Anyone uses this on their car. What's the solution ???:D
Also would a holder thingy that uses magnetism be strong enough to hold a P910i.. That would be a solution !!!

Nobody uses that anymore, because there are lots of missing roads, that were build in last two years.
I deleted yesterday whole collection of v5.66, 5.67 and 6.05, 6.32 maps. I got 13Gb of free space that is reserved now for 6.5 and 6.6 maps :)

I'm using the original Sony Ericcson passive car holder HCH-37 (look here) (http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=us&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pp4_1_1&zone=pp&lm=pp4_1&pid=10127). You can turn it all way round how you like.
I think a car holder that is strong enough to hold the P910i up will be strong enough to erase all phone memory.

I agree with Lord Diablo, try the HCH-37. I have one of these attached to my car specific mount (http://www.brodit.com/?lang=E). I've attached the holder to the mount using some heavy duty velcro so that I can put it in the glove box when not in use.

I have an odd problem.....I now have the benelux 6.32... but the p910 seems to be running a lot slower than usual...the navigation isn't smooth as is was before... After experimenting a bit and turning off almost all poi's, only then it works fine...is the p910 too slow to run all features of tomtom.... Or maybe i have a few hidden thingys running in the background, and its eating my cpu power...

Thanks Trickydave for the 6.60 uk map and the latest postal zip (603). If you have the latest map and the latest zip folder, how come my postcodes dont match my addresses? Does that make sense? For instance my postcodes may take me to a different street than the old zip file on the old maps. I have been using the 6.32 GB map and also the GB plus map, but I cant identify the zip file as i dont have an id file in the folder.

Please see my first posts. I where asking very politely in the beginning, but poeple first started answering when I uesed the yellow color.
You didn't help then did you? And now you say you won't help beceasu I write en yellow -> so at least you made en respond now. Now I can just hope not everyone will have the same opinion as you. But you must understand. I had nothing to loose. And actually people start responding as I begin to write in yellow.
So when you say no-one will respond now when I write in yellow - you are actually wrong.
If I just have got some reactions in the beginning when I asked my simple questions, none of this was happend. I am pretty sure 80% of the users in here must be able to answer how to intall a TomTom map. Why download maps without asking for how to install if you don't know? So almost everyone in here must know how to install. But for some reason no-one wants to share it.

The maps for TomTom Go/one/... are identical to the PDA/PPC maps. So you don't need to download separate versions. The point is that you do need to have a working version of the TomTom program and a matching activation code for every map.
A lot of PDAs have a cracked version of TomTom Navigator 3/5/6 which does not ask for an activation code, so they can basically use any map which is put on an SD card.
As for the TomTom GO/One/etc, they have a different program version (I think the latest one is 6.52 but I'm not sure). Don't confuse this with map versions (like e.g. 660.1229 Western Europe)! Up to recently it was not possible to crack this TT GO software, so it was not possible to use downloaded maps on your TT GO device. The problem lay with your device and not with your maps. However, I heard that there is a recent crack available which DOES allow you to use any map you download on your TT device. I don't have it myself, but if you use torrents, I think I saw one floating around on www.demonoid.com once. If not, maybe somebody else can get it for you.

_______It would be a good idea if you would start a new thread for tomtom GO,ONE,RIDER_ect. it could help a lot more forum users who have one of these, also there is a (keygen) for these tomtom units.
The 1223_version_maps are for TomTom_5, but they also work in TT6.
The 1219 version_maps are for TomTom_6, and they contain information that is not managed by TomTom/nav/mobile_5, due to the newer TT6 software especially the roads speed limits that allows a much more accurate roads selections and time estimations.
If you are useing TT6, keep to the 660.1219 version_maps.

I've got a question about the PL_CZ_SK_HU_plus_major_roads_of_WE map, version 660.1219.
Does this map also contain map data east of the mentioned countries? I mean, on the Central Europe (660.1219) map there are also roads going to Vilnius, Moscow, Belgrade, etc. Is this also the case with the PL_CS_SK_HU map or does this map only countain the mentioned countries plus major roads of Western Europe?

well I am following this forum for abt 3 months i successfully installed TTM5 on my p910 n it was working fine then i upgrade my Memory card to 1GB n trying to install my TTM again.I m using
App version 5.200(540)
GPS driver v1.2
Map :Guam-Map v567
it works fine with Guam map but as soon as i copy Great-britain Map(v632) on the memory and switch to UK map my P910 comeout from TT software giving message
reason KERN-EXEC
reason number 3
if I delete the great britain map directory from the memory card it starts working fine with Guam map.
Can any body help me out that how can i sort this issue with my p910.

Hi,
I had exactly the same problem. For me it was (most probably) a question of recording on the memory card. When I tried to update the card with the phone connected to the PC, I got the same trouble. When I use a card reader connected to the the PC it works, but sometimes I get this trouble. Sometimes after getting this message, I powered off the device and then powered on and it worked.
The best way I found is:
-Backup the card (for safety purpose),
-Make a new image of my card on the PC,
-Erase the card and then
-Rewrite the card in one operation from the PC.
Up to now it works for me.

I use TT5 v5.020(5350) and have installed and tested most maps (from Rapidshare TomTom folder (http://rapidshare.com/users/GN2XQL?byfilename=1&password=&subpassword=0)), all versions up to and including the plus maps of v6.32 work fine! All versions above that do not.
I also use that version but I am using 6.60 1223 maps with no problems

You can use a msduo pro card that's 2gb in size with your p910i. If you don't have one yet you'll just have to stick with the map(s) of your region I guess.

Yep yep !!! My p910i also wanted to pay a visit outside the car and got stuck between the car door... Result : Screen has gone to heaven.. been looking for a new lcd... there are quiet a few on ebay just make sure you get the whole thing Lcd + touchscreen...(they also sell it apart on ebay...)
I think a Lcd from the P8OO will do the work...

I have TT5.202 on P910i and I found that all maps 660.1223 works fine but no other version of 660, 652 and 650-maps!

It always ran smoothly, and now this... Will maybe try to install it again, think this will help ???? It seems the p910i is lacking some cpu power also... Because it really get's choppy when at a big highway intersections... Is this normal ....
my p910 speed is 156 mhz. Same as the others ( I think )

Yeah, I had figured it out also, but still with the map I have now no files have been added like poi's or any other stuff, so it's just the map in it's original state.... Also, I've disabled all the poi's. And still this shouldn't be necessary to disable this an try to that.... Why did they make it for the P910 if the phone can't use the tomtom's full potential ??? Anyways, before I was satisfied with it, and now I'm not.. even though I did a format of the drive and stuff... Maybe copy the memcard files to a faster and bigger memcard ??

I am new to GPS on PDA. I have a p910i. I just downloaded the latest TomTom Mobile App Version 5.202 Build 542 UIQ MSSEMC GPS Driver V1.20_P910i. What else do I need?. I live in Vancouver Canada so I will need the north America Maps. I checked the phone specs and it said that it supported upto 1 gb memory stick duo. I have a 4gb memory stick but I think I might not be able to use it so I will get the 1 gb one. Also do I need a GPS attachment and if so which one and where can I get it?. I am sorry for my ignorance but I did try to find all the info in this thread but it has 132 pages and this info is not in one place. I guess we need a basic sticky for newbies like me.

Its not limited to 1GB, limit is 2GB, works very well, but sorry! no 4GB, simply not supported...
According to Sony manual only 1 gig is supported, that is not to say higher capacities won'y work thats why I suggested to try it.

Are you sure about the 2gb working in P910i?. I first bought a 4gb from ebay. Then yesterday I bought 1 GB. I want to make sure that the 2gb works before I buy that. Thanks

I use a ******* 2GB on my own for over a year now and have walked through several boards before, just making sure, it would work, there, also I found several people complaining about and discussing reasons for the 4GB not working.
I think, I remember, the problem is, that the controller of P910i can not handle memory adresses beyond 2GB, it even is not able to see the 2GB of it, so one could use the rest for something else
I have oredered HOLUX 236 GPS USB BlUETOOTH RECEIVER. Do I need an antenna with it ?. Also can I attach a bigger external screen on the P910i? Thanks

What folders do i make on the card, no instrutions on here are clear. i've looked through the entire thread but can't figure out which mssemc file to download, i downloaded the latest one

K i've installed tomtom, what is the latest GB map or GB Plus map? The download links are dead
Also could i get speed camera warnings on this? What files and where do i place them?
OK the latest GB map that will run on 5.202 is GB 6.32
or UK and Ireland Plus major roads of europe 6.60 1223, if you join GPS world you can download speed cameras and POI

Okay at risk of sounding redundant I made sure that I have read nearly all of the posts in most of the forums relating to TTM 5.20x and I cant seem to sort out what latest version of maps are compatible for the USA. I have read that v660.1223 is the one I am looking for, however I don’t think there is a legitimate version .1223 for the USA. Is there anyone that can help me with this and maybe provide a link.
I can say this for all, I have seen many peeps looking to get and install the TomTom Mobile 5 software on the phone. I have read nearly all of the sites, forums, threads, and posts. What I have come up with is, you do not need to find the TTM5 software cracked for download. I have a simple way to get it done and the 5.20x update from TomTom is all you need:
Before you start if you have tried to install TTM on your phone there might be some file still in you phone that may prevent this install from working. Make a backup of you phone data then do a hard reset.
1. goto tomtom.com and download the Mobile 5.2x update the file name is ttmupd520 "hxxp://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=3370&Lid=4"
2. Run the update on your PC it will prompt along as to what phone you have and where you want the file to be installed. In My case I used SD card.
3. Put a copy of your maps as to their folder names to the root of your memory card. Also in each of the map folders you will find a file map_name.mid copy the file or the files and copy them to a folder that easy for you to get using a command prompt. In this forum you will find links and instruction for a keygen get it and place it the folder that has the *.mid files.
4. put your memory card in you phone and let it autorun after that open tomtom mobile and it will finish the install by asking you a series of questions then you will get to a point to activate the map. Follow the keygen instruction to the T. If you map does not show then it’s going to be 1 of 2 things incompatible map version or you placed the map in the wrong location on your memory card.
You may have to use the keygen to activate other maps that is why I recommended you copy the *.mid file to a folder for all the maps you plan on using.
I hope this helps some of you and thanks to all the post I have read I have been able to put this to work. Not to say it is for everybody just giving back in simplified terms.
My question still stands I would like to know if anybody knows what the latest map version will work for the USA on TTM 5.20?

Anybody know if we can upload new colour schemes to TT5 for P910i? I particularly want OS map colours for the roads. Have tried Colorschemeeditor to procuce a .clr file but can't seem to get it to work... Can any one help?!

I'm looking for the US Western Region map for TomTom 5 Mobile.
It's the tomtom 5 map covering the states of Washington (WA), Oregon (OR), Idaho (ID), California (CA), Nevada (NV), Utah (UT) and Arizona (AZ) all on the one map (approx 187mb).
Somebody did upload this map a while ago on rapidshare.de (but its been deleted now).
