Rebuild imie mean : make ask file for old imie and then use griffin server to have the rpl file for you ask so upload the rpl you got to the phone using of option write uem the imie data will been written ti flash chips again ....

1st..if u cant set full factory that mean ur flash already defective..what kind of flash ic in ur set??AMD?if u had the same flash ic wit u set..just replace that bottom one

2nd..if ur set off in 30sec..(when insert sim card appers)ur uem defective

This is a specific error on these symbian phones!" white screen" and "only test NOKIA". I saw many of them but could not repair! every body says different advises. That is mean nobody has an exact idea! just guesing! Hope all friends will collect their infos about this subject! and we will make a fix precedure for everybody!
For Example there was a specific one more problem, the phone can not enter galery, the problem accured from bluetooth! thanks for evrybody who searched and shared infos!
I hope for these two problem we will find solution and share!

1- ist mobile u hav to flash mobile along wit pm file after that format user area 3-times... then it will be working.. if still white screen comming then erase the full flash by using ufs-3 after earse flash mobile with virgin pm ....
its 100% working...........

2- 2nd mobile u hav to just format user area 3 times it will be 100% working.

i have had this problem before, replacing flashes, ram, uem, upp, and bt NOT HELP.

changed parts,,,,it not mean all parts you installed was "OK",, it might not work ,just eason becasue @#$%$#@#$%$#@.......... only one thing you can sure is the measurment result !

try to check all "CBUS" link .like 1Mhz clk ....
try verify the "security data" in eeprom is correct , or you got good and new UEM , then check the "watch stupid dog" !

then next is go to check LCD connector !

done init sim lock after that formated the user aerea
Phone is working normally but has no network.
I used to flash the pm with euroals.pp and the difoult.pp
with two booth no network

1-try to always use one verission and latest fia files in your case i think you have to work with 1.3k and fia 3.29 ..

one of your flash IC's not wil ... if you ask how .. ill tell you
the phone can see flashes but can not flash CPU OK 30% SRAM 90 % secound flash from the left ( the one with IMEI ) becarfull !!!
Just build its legs again .. hope thats could help

as you can see the 3d flash and the 4rth are cusing this proplem
just chick the legs
less times #2

when you flash the phone and it is work for one day only and return back you have to the following :

1- erase the phone erase file nhl_10 fia you have to put this file in the folder
c:/ programe file/nokia/phoniex/product/nhl10(if you use ufsx) and you
use it as mcu file no ppm file

2- re flash the phone with original phone package

3- after it revive you make back up of imie data using read uem option in ufsx

4- change the main flash ic + sdram

phone i think will work fine

and fl3 which is parllel and right side the upp ..

2- you have good main flash ic which is fl0 and it is address is 0x00000000-0x007FFFFF
3- you have anther good flash ic fl1 which it is address is 0x02000000-0x027FFFFF
4- ppm area address is
0x00000000-0x0000FFFF
0x02000000-0x027FFFFF
so the box found no problem upload ppm data to these flasges and put in your attention that blue tooth stop flashing only when you try to flash full mcu + ppm but not ppm only

my steps for that is
1- change the two flashes with good ones same brand ( in your case st )
2- try first to make the phone on by flash the the phone without bluetooth flashing option
3- after i have working phone i start to solve blue tooth modul problem

use the paper in analyize your problem how in 6600 314 and 315 = main flash ic for 7610 also in 6600 flash ic number d316 and d317 for user area and ppm data so you can solve your problem by revise the booting problem of 6600 to solve any of symbian problems or at least understand it

I have a 3650 autoOff after 10 secs .
I'm using sarasoft for flashing,when i try to flash with (Enable BT Flashing) checked all flash chip are correctly detected but i receive a message (2nd boot Error bad data ...bla bla..) but without (Enable BT Flashing) ,flashing goes well,what chip should i replace or resolder?
Also Repair BT fail ,what UFS try to flash related with bluetooth?

1- make full erase this mean to erase flash area one after one using erase option and define the start address and end address for every flash manually.

2-flash the phone with version 5.27 ( yes it is not the newest version )

3-while you got nokia logo and the phone still in cable do formate user area + ui settings + write pm + again sp unlock

i hope your phone now not make 4 blinking nokia and may be you have another problem but for now do as above and post result

we usually use ufs or mtbox ( in past we used to use griffin ) to discover some hardware error..

from the checking step
from the trail of flashing the phone
from the self test if the set is powered on

my self never use jaf ( this about me i do not know what jaf do as i do not use it )

the aim of this post is to how to define the booting problem from which flash ic the main or from the user data flash ic and i think it easy to link all symbian wd2 nokia phones flashes even if we found some set have 4 flash ic,s (like 6600) or 3 flash's(like 3650) or 1+ 1 combo like (7610 ) so you have to understand the paper well because i think it help you in most of symbian wd2 of nokia phones as i try it and post it after i did many sets by it ...

hi, I have a 6600 with power on white screen, and the last 3 days I tried all what you have read here.
Lets see, I have UFS-3,hot air station,ultrasound washer... etc
First I've tried some flashfiles, old ones, new ones, chinese versions. Nothing.

Then I tried to wash the mainboard then to reheat all things,but flash IC-s also. Again flashing, nothing. Thats why I dont think so that is a hardware problem, because when I flash it, no error messages, everything ok, but again white screen.

Somebody wrote this 6600fullerase procedure, I did it. :

"paste 6600 full erase.fia to c:/programm files/nokia/phoenix/products/nhl-10
DCTx software -- remove use ini file settings-select flash only ppm--choose (file type *.*)6600 full erase.fia --flash.
erase 5 times then you must choose mcu and ppm file."

I dont understand,why I have to erase the same thing for 5 times, but I did, so after this, nothing.

Thank you very much for the chart, but I have 2 6600 with different problems as given below:

1) Switches on with white screen and when flashed, it flashes completely, but format user area, init sim locks and full factory defaults cannot be done. It remains with white screen.
2) Another set switches on then nokia logo appears and set switches off immediately after insert sim appears.

What could be the possible solutions for these problems.

Hi just flash your phone with good flash files and after flashing do format user are and after that just do init sim locks and remember don,t use factory default and i hope all should be ok and one thing more just tell me do u see nokia logo on phone after flashing if then it,s software fault otherwise its hardware fault ok take care .............;)

this cell auto switch off after 5,10,8 minutes depends on his mood,i flashed with latest ver but same problem.So, i full erase anthen flash but know phone does n't boot.

with battery white screen and blue keypad light for approx 4,5 sec then gets off.

Before i change the 4 flash ic and RAM, i use self test to check the phone and it show ST_EXTERNAL_RAM_TEST [unknown error 14] then i change all the 4 flash ic, and I change the RAM but still the same ST_EXTERNAL_RAM_TEST [unknown error 14] result. phone still auto off depends on it's mood.

for external ram test: you will get this error 100 times even if you try with 100 working phone!it say unkwon and unkwon does not mean "FAILED"
about the phones dont want to go ON after flash,if you use correct version of flash file,then UEM or Flash chips are problem.but dont count on ST_EXTERNAL_RAM_TEST ,it will be same for working phones too

ok i done all what you said willy ... and i know my 6670 problem on lost imei number ... rebuild and reflash all done,just the init local mode failed power up failed ... so now i have to rebuild the imei .. but where to rebuild the imei , i am using twister hwk...

1- if you changed the uem with new one just write rpl from twister files asic 5

2- if you not changed uem just make ask file and request for rpl griffin server or any available to you ..

i din't change the uem .. uem test point all work well but i changed the flash ic , and read uem from the UFS_DCTxBB5 it show can't read phone info , all are working when doing flashing firmware,but can't init sim lock its show IMEI error ??????-??-??????-? .. hmmm .. i have no idea now ...

1-If the phone had the original imie was wrote in the back of the phone
you just have to make ask file and got thr rpl .

2-If you not sure just check imie with jaf or mt box and read ask from these
boxs because ufs not include this option .

for external ram test: you will get this error 100 times even if you try with 100 working phone!it say unkwon and unkwon does not mean "FAILED"
about the phones dont want to go ON after flash,if you use correct version of flash file,then UEM or Flash chips are problem.but dont count on ST_EXTERNAL_RAM_TEST ,it will be same for working phones too
FOR USING SELF TEST FUCTION WHITCH SOFTWARE IS BEST ?

u have to change boot ic. which is located behind the battery connecter and it is in mostly black in colour. just change it your problem will be solved

This not logic parts faults if you see the LCD back light on and also key back lights on and phone shut down after 40 seconds ( do not mix up with the 32 second fault )it is power management faulty check vbat line include the current organizer and filters up to battery connector and near the uem .

try erase f10/f11/f12

it means erase flash from 0000000-00fffff
0200000-027ffff
0400000-047ffff
then flsh again with latest firmware.....
dont forget write pm and init after finish..
lastly format at time around 40-45second
if your phone dont work after this ,i can sure your phone was hardware damage....if cant erase , check flash/ram ic,if your phone cant boot,try check power or upp...... correct me if i am wrong.....

i think this is the fault of booting ic back side on battery conector first change it ur problem is solve not so u heat ram ic and flash ic
