hey as some of you may know im a n00b on this forum but oh well you gotta strat off somewhere, and way is there imei changer for the nokia 6230? the ppl i know say its costs about £30/50 and only one person can do and his from hurdersfield so im wondering is the software out there for the nokia 6230... :(

You can only change imei by replacing a UEM IC ... unless some like J.A.F has a software patch ??

ok thanks for clearing that up, how is this UEM IC changed? is it a chip that you solder on the motherboard or something else if anyone could post me a pic the UEM IC it will be a HUGE help thanks..

unlike some lazy ppl i have been soin some research my self and have found what the UEM IC is and looks like my only question now is do you solder this on to the board? if thats the case is it difficult?

its not as simply as, unsoldering the chip and replacing it, you have to take great care while doin it, so you dont damage any of the main chip, and also you need special equipment to do it, like for example you need a hot air station and flux

^^can you explain what the hot air staion and flux are for? sorry if im bein a pain in the *** im still learning but im a very quick learner...
