Picture messages in 6630, 6680, 6681

Wow, I've searched around a lot and can't believe that no one else is asking this.. or blame it on my searching skills..

Anyways.. for all you guys out there... All these 3 new phones don't have an option to send picture messages... (the .ota stuff). If you receive a picture message, you can forward it but u can't do anything with a stored picture message or even store a new one you've got..

Is there any software that allows me to overcome this limitation?

Photosms allowed me to send picture messages in 6600 so i happily bought a 6680 thinking i'll use the same software but now it tells me that the functionality is not supported! :confused:

I know it's high time ppl moved on to MMS but it's expensive in our part of the world and not everyone has it.. and picture messages are cute in their own way (just like you sometimes want to apply a special filter to an image and view it in black n white)

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

for storing the picture messages which u've recieved, try some file explorer like FExplorer

Well it's not just 6680.. it's 6630 and 6681 as well... so don't call off ur plans.. I'm assuming the N series won't be having it either.. Nokia is playing into the hands of service providers.. this is a sure shot way of pushing MMS...

However i can forward picture messages that i received...

Nah.. Fexplore won't work.. if it did.. i would have used it to replace the ota file in an existing picture message and send it off.. but it seems that picture messages in inbox contain the files in the message themselves and not separately.. strange but true.. i don't know how that works... :(

I can't believe that none of the 6630, 6680 users are bothered about this!!!

there is not even a single phone of nokia which is perfect in all features......

go to www.nokia.co.in and feedback nokia corp and tell them that pic msgs i r very important function for a mobile

I have no hope boss..

I called Nokia support.. they told me sir if you don't have the option then u can't do it.. I said if i had the option y would i call you.. they kept repeating the same thing..

They have same support professionals for all phones.. those guys don't even know that we can access c,d and e drive using softwares like fexplore n all..

Hey i used to use OXYGEN PHONE MANGER and i used to create MY OWN picture sms better than phone sms i take my photos and edit them with corel draw or jasc paint pro then i save then as .bmp (monocrome bitmaps) and resize them into the pixel size i think it used to be 28x6 not sure coz i used to do it long time back...... thenn i save it into my phone!!!!! Im not sure Oxygen Manger for Symbian has this option!! jus go n download a copy n check it out!! and u can as well import ur picture sms from the phone using oxygen phone manger


BUT im not sure abt the Oxygen manager for symbianz suports it!! coz most people don want those old pics ne more!! :D

this is an old topic but then when it has woken up lemme put some ideas

its easy why do u want to store ur pic msgs in the gallery jus make a folder in my folders named pic msgs move all pic msgs u recived to that folder and forward it frm there problm solved
here take away my pic msg collection

unzip by extracting
to wach in ur computer right click pic msg file (ota files)open wit nokia multimedia player

then how can we send a picture messages created by outself???
i use a software PHOTOSMS but it when i select a picture to send it as a picture message it say FEATURE NOT SUPPORTED :((
