Hello to all,
Anyone know how long JIC Remote unlock server will be down for?
I've been trying since yesterday and my log reseller confirmed it's down and to try again today but no luck. just want to advise my customer on how long to wait.

hi, is the first time in one year, jic server was working fine all this time withouth any trouble. I know that they are moving their office, soon it will be up again.

Jic do not post on this forum.Only sometimes so mail direct for info..
Moved offices and british telecom have not fitted the lines on the 22nd as prommised and now many faults as usual!!
Download new client later today from website and this will provide temperary server for a few days untill permanent one is up...
I had really big problems trying to use Jic unlocking software. Only a white blank square is showed and there is no way for getting the soft running. I tried on 5 pc's without any result. I installed the exe file and there is no way to get this running well.

For me, server has been working ok now. I have lost a few credits online but my reseller (Unlockcellular) quickly restored them. It turns out you or at least I had to do a "hard reset" to get the unit unlocked. If not it would stay stuck on "calculating code". So remember do a back up first before hard resetting a customer's unit. I did'nt have to remove the "Active Sync" but just disable it.

Actually, these 'hard reset' Treo 650's have a user passcode installed. If you go into 'Security' and remove the security code before starting, the JIC server works fine and reads codes properly *without* having to do a hard reset.
Had one today, worked great. No codes displayed, remove Treo user security code, re-run client, voila - codes... verrah nice!

Thanks for the info but what if the Treo650 is brand new out of the box? Do we still need to disable user security? Because I had to Hard Reset some new out of box Treo650's.
PS: I have another unit to unlock today but is a customer's unit so I will try your method first and post results.

Ok, so I unlocked another but here's what I did. First I checked security like Dr. Dave suggested but security was unassigned. So proceded to put tre650 in testmode without hard resetting and I did NOT disable the Active Sync (because I forgot). It read the codes fine and unlocked ok. It worked like it did before they changed server.:confused: But hey the main thing is it worked.:)

Replied. You are using old software. Server was changed last year in October. Gave you address for downloading new client software

You buy a credit and it sends out full instructions, drivers, software etc instantly by email along with login username and password
People , you need to be careful when you choose to work with JIC-technology
...for anything what you want to work with them!!
You do not have any support , no reply e-mail , no any answer , nothing
PERSONALLY i'm have very bad EXPERIENCE :(
I have my best experience with this team, best support, and the more important always answer at firs time...

I have always told people this free method does NOT remove the simlock
It should not be called unlock. It only changes firmware to enable(unlock) other menu items
