D500 Dead Short ?

Hi,
Have D500 that has short between both battery terminals. Have cleaned and checked board very closely many times and cannot see any damage at all. Any ideas which component to remove first to check circuit or should I just bin it?

Remove P.A first! I've faced with many like that!

no need to remove pa immediately.on the keypad side of the board at the bottom(behind the charging unit) there is a two black fuses.take out both and check.
