the app itself should be cracked so you should need nothing for the maps as they work fine - you need to get the cracked version and not the one linked to above.
also , make sure that you are using the right version of tt5 as there are at least 3 versions for symbian phones alone !! there are tons on use-net - for those that know :).
often when installed tt5 starts in dutch and has to be set to english - just in case you think ya got the wrong language . the maps can be swapped between any version - tried ppc ones on nokia 6630 s60 (tomtomplus maps) and they work fine.

so far i have tomtom working ver 5.200(443) gps driver v 1.20 map uk v605.
lots of voices uk speed cameras etc etc.
now how do i tydy this up. all voices maps cameras ,install files every file is in the root directory tomtom.my maps are not in any folders or voices,poi etc.
is this becuse its a cracked version,is it possible to tidy this up.
put maps in a map folder voices in a folder and install files in the tomtom root folder.

I have a working TT5 on my C500. It is the patched 5.20 version. I have the UK Map v605 and this is inthe root of my storage card.

I also have the Portugal map and tried to get this working in TT5. I put the files in a directory called Portugal-Map in the root of the storage card but TT refuses to see it.

Does anyone have any clues about what could be wrong.

update..

i found that crack and added TomTom MOBILE.exe to the phone

1. go via active sync to the phones storage area (not the storage card) and locate the my documents
file in there if it is not already you need to make a new folder called tomtom.
2. next you need to go to the storage card where tom tom is stored and find a file called data check file.
this file needs to be copied (not cut and paste) to the new file that you ahve created in my documents.
3. once this is done switch off the phone take out the storage card and put battery back and power on.
4. next power off and reinstall the storage card and power up this should then show you through the menu
that tom tom is installed.

Has anyone had trouble getting the USA/Canada maps to show up on their Treo 650? I did the TT6 install, activated the Guam map and installed the USA/Canada map folder in the root of my SD card... however when I try to switch maps, the USA folder does not show up on my device.

I can see the USA maps when I attach my card to my laptop using the TT6 Home program.

it doesn'y matter, forget about the auto lauch...
just copy all the files into the root of the SD, run the TTMobile 5 .exe, select manual activation, cancel, cancel, move the cracked .exe from the crack folder to the tomtom folder and your done.

make sure you have maps in the root of the SD or tomtom will fail to load !

Okay at risk of sounding redundant I made sure that I have read nearly all of the posts in most of the forums relating to TTM 5.20x and I cant seem to sort out what latest version of maps are compatible for the USA. I have read that v660.1223 is the one I am looking for, however I don’t think there is a legitimate version .1223 for the USA. Is there anyone that can help me with this and maybe provide a link.

I can say this for all, I have seen many peeps looking to get and install the TomTom Mobile 5 software on the phone. I have read nearly all of the sites, forums, threads, and posts. What I have come up with is, you do not need to find the TTM5 software cracked for download. I have a simple way to get it done and the 5.20x update from TomTom is all you need:

Before you start if you have tried to install TTM on your phone there might be some file still in you phone that may prevent this install from working. Make a backup of you phone data then do a hard reset.

1. goto tomtom.com and download the Mobile 5.2x update the file name is ttmupd520 "hxxp://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=3370&Lid=4"

2. Run the update on your PC it will prompt along as to what phone you have and where you want the file to be installed. In My case I used SD card.

3. Put a copy of your maps as to their folder names to the root of your memory card. Also in each of the map folders you will find a file map_name.mid copy the file or the files and copy them to a folder that easy for you to get using a command prompt. In this forum you will find links and instruction for a keygen get it and place it the folder that has the *.mid files.

4. put your memory card in you phone and let it autorun after that open tomtom mobile and it will finish the install by asking you a series of questions then you will get to a point to activate the map. Follow the keygen instruction to the T. If you map does not show then it’s going to be 1 of 2 things incompatible map version or you placed the map in the wrong location on your memory card.

You may have to use the keygen to activate other maps that is why I recommended you copy the *.mid file to a folder for all the maps you plan on using.



I hope this helps some of you and thanks to all the post I have read I have been able to put this to work. Not to say it is for everybody just giving back in simplified terms.

My question still stands I would like to know if anybody knows what the latest map version will work for the USA on TTM 5.20?

I do have 3125 as well. I went to hxxp://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?FID=3370&Lid=4, downloaded the update, but I can not install it (not intended for this device error). Any suggestions. I would like to use 6.5 maps


I have installed it on my cingular 3125 many times and it works for me every time. What is the name of the file that you get from tt? How far does the install get and what screen do you get to? what map are you trying. Did you hard reset? You should get to the point where you need to activate the map or no map was found. As far as I can find the only map I can find that works is version 567

I actually contacted Tom Tom and their tech support has no clue when and if they will support no touch screen smartphone. Is it that hard to do?

i actually have tomtom navigator 6 that i can use on my blackjack. kind of a pain in the butt as i had to create a new menu that offered a screen rotate option. ttn6 is upside down on my blackjack each time i start it and needs to be flipped. aside from that, everything else seems to work great. just wish some one would come up with a regedit or something to start it with the correct screen orientation.

i wanna ask if tomtom navigator 6 can be used on dopod 838 pro?

and if can what setting do i need to get the gps signal..
because i already installed all the required files including the voice and the crack but i still cant get any gps signal...

Unless you have a special dopod to get a valid gps signal you will need an external bluetooth gps receiver linked to it .Available from most sat nav outlets.

Do i need an a GPS receiver for the Treo 650 or must it work without ??
