maybe ur in a wrong thread dude.. go apple.com.. download the latest firmware update for your ipod... install program then upload updater to ur ipod software updated and fix but all ur songs will be gone and u have to upload it again from the start....

Register (if not done before), download, connect Ipod to pc, and start the update.
PS: Yes, all memory will be wiped out...
