As far as I know, silver card has PIC16F876 procesor and 24LC64 eeprom.
Does silver card have implemented oscilator and what type (_XT_OSC)?
Where can I get more information on silver cards?

Best regards,
Peter

You can see on the above picture the circuit diagram of a silvercard... The chip is connected to the EPROM as on the picture. Since there is no direct way to store on the Eprom (because there are not enough pads on a smartcard to connect them with the memory), a loader has to be programmed first on the Microchip that will pass the data received to the EPROM and afterwards the main program is programmed on the chip.

Goldcard/Silvercard/Greencard are all with CPU from http://www.microchip.com.

If you need the datasheet for the 16F876A, here is a link: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/39582b.pdf.

If you want to check out the official site with info about that chip, here is the link: http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1335&dDocName=en010240.
