e720 unlocking problem

Trying to unlock e720, when I do step 4 below. I pres unlcok, led light up red, I hold unlock button, but it does not go green, just stay red, no matter how long I hold.

What is wrong? I have updated latest firmware in clip



Unlock solution for Red marked phones:

1. Connect 9V battery to the clip.
2. Power OFF your phone.
3. Connect Cable to the clip - Do not connect phone yet.
4. Press unlock button in the clip (led will goes Red) and hold it until led goes Green and Red again.
5. Connect phone to the cable.
(If led will not goes green in a few seconds then press power ON button in your phone and hold it until led goes green).
6. Wait until led will blinks a few times.

Are you using correct cable? Or, is the battery full?
Also make sure that you enter TAT mode.

Hi, just unlocked an e720 this evening. Directions from the forum sticky didnt work for me either.
Through trial and error I was successful by connecting the correct (e810) cable then pressing unlock and power on on the phone simultaneously, then waiting for the flasing green light whilst keeping the two buttons depressed.

Not sure if this is the correct way, but it worked for me. Good luck

silly me I was using the cable labeled e720

Hummm, I do need help.

I tried to unlock a E720 using E720 cable too. But I tried like "white" phone (pressing unlock and then power on). Grenn light went on, blinked a few times and turned off. Everything seemed ok, BUT now phone is dead (don't turn on). Any advice?

Just tried as otswald said but now don't work. :(

Remove phone battery for 15-20 minutes and retry, if that did not work shortcut battery memory.

Ok, unlocked it:

- pressed unlock button till light goes red and green again
- pressed power on button on the phone
- waited till green light blinks a few times

Used E810 cable.
