View Full Version : D500 Not Turning On **Urgent help needed pls***
Hi, iv got a d500 and the screen broke so i replaced the screen and everything wass working fine, then the backlights started to play up so I took the phone apart again and when I put it back together, it now wont work at all, wont even give any sign of charging etc! pleasse help as off to usa on sat and need a phone!! many thanks

check the ribbon mate, not dout that will be your problem
excellent mate, thanks, will that cause it just to appear totally dead then?
Check the flex cable(connecting the pcb with the display),or try to short the + and - of the back up battery for 20 seconds and then try to power up your phone.

yes mate it can cause loads off problems that little cable
ok, thanks guys, i have tried both options but it still wont even register charging or anything! any other ideas??

I bet the ribbon is damaged mate, was the phone ok befor all this?
man,try changing the flex cable and you will be all right.tested by myslef
i had same prob the only way i have fonnd is you have to remove internal batt premently jus snap it off with a screw driver the only prob with this is every time you take the main batt off you have to reset the time and date but each time i have done this it has worked evey time the phone powers up frist time
