Do you need a special simcard reader/writer for Sim-Emu or you can just use a normal one which other us using to read n backup their simcard? I am new in this hopefully some advise will be given. Thank you.

Hi!
If you have card pre-programmed with sim-emu, you dont need any programmers. All operations from phone menu.
If you have empty card (for example - silver) you need special programmers for PIC & Eprom (inside card) programming.

Gold card is not easy for use. If i remember correctly, all IMSI & Ki programming is from SMS directory with codes or card must be pre-programmed with IMSI, Ki.
Maybe you can buy Silver card. With this any time you can change any numbers from menu in phone. On Sattelite Shops Silver card price is about 10-20eur.

Price is good - 100eur. I use another, very old programmer :)
On this site you can found SIMCARD8. Its pre-programmed Silver card.(With this you dont need any programmers, only SIM card reader you must get)
