6620 Cingular Software?

Hi,

I'm not really sure if this is the right place for this. I'm a newb, so shoot me...:rolleyes:

Anyways... I have a 6620 (With AT&T Software), that I successfully unlocked on my own by using a DCT4Calc.

The only problem I have is that whenever I get a Text message, a voicemail, or a missed call, the phone says that I have a new voicemail. Until I press cancel, then it tells me what I really have.

Is there a way to get the Cingular software on this phone. I rememebr a while back that Cingular used to sell the same exact phone.

Any of you guys know what I can do to fix this issue?

I've already downloaded all the Cingular MMS/Internet settings to my phone from Nokia's website. Didn't help.

I´ll move it to correct section, no worrie.

About your problem, not sure if I understood correctly. But usually they keep "telling" the user that has a Missed Call, or a SMS, until the user cancel or see it. I mean, u have a missed call alert on the display, and u press the menu button disregarding the alert on the display, so u pass to the menu, Somehow, when u get back to the main screen the alert will be there anyway. But this is a default function, that helps the user not to forget it.

Actually, the problem isn't the phone telling me I have a message.

It's the fact that it tells me I have a new VoiceMail when I have a Text/MMS/Missed Call.

Hi,

Oh I see your problem now. Well can try to reset the phone, but I guess that won´t solve the problem. I think is a firmware bug. Better take it to nearest Nokia SC (Service Center) and complain about a firmware bug, and they will update it for free if the phone stills under warranty time limit.
